Horrible
I have bought latex pillows for years, prepared to pay a lot for a decent nights sleep. The two Dunlopillos I bought were very disappointing & uncomfortable, certainly not worth the expense.
My husband's is the high profile medium feel - his comment - if it was a 4wd car it would be sold as having a 6 inch lift & another comment was he could be sleeping with his head on Uluru (Ayers Rock), extremely uncomfortable too high, far too firm.
My pillow is the medium profile, firm feel. It was chosen because of a neck injury & I sleep on my back; t...Read more

Too high and too firm
I bought the high profile medium feel from Myer when I wanted high and soft but they don't make them anymore, and they were what I was replacing. The high medium one I tried in store was high and soft enough, the one I purchased I cannot sleep on without feeling like I'm using a rock and waking up with terrible neck pain. Myer don't do pillow returns so there goes $150 down the drain.

This is the worst pillow for wearing.
Purchased two pillows earlier this year and now both have gone hard on edges and stink of foul burning rubber. My old one is ten years old and still OK. Inferior product made in China now.

Uncomfortable
Purchased the high profile Medium today at Myers. After long consideration and reading reviews decided to splurge on this pillow. Regret decision now. This pillow in store felt nice and supportive enough, but after sleeping with it overnight...it felt very hard and uncomfortable. Woke up with a stiff neck. I believe you can't return pillows to Myers. Considering the high price tag I think this pillow does not deliver as promised. My $39 foam pillow (high profile Medium) that I bought last month (which my husband) keep on stealing is way way better. Wished I had purchased another one like that instead. You don't get what you pay for. Costly mistake!!

Medium Profile, Soft feel......not at all like they used to be
Just received the Medium profile soft feel pillow in the mail...it was through ebay, but it is definitely genuine...wow, totally thin and nothing like my old one! I had to cut the cover off the old one as it is a very crisp fabric that made too much noise when trying to sleep, (the new ones have a zip outer cover to wash and a thinner inner cover) because I did this they won't take my word that the new one is too thin now as I can't prove I have one of the same ones from years ago.. If this is what they are like now I will never buy another one...Read more
. I have had lots of their pillows over the years but this is prob the last. Such as shame as they are normally good pillows. This is nothing like a medium profile...more like a very low....more like something for a small child not an adult and it weighs nothing! I tried sleeping on it, but had to change back to the old one after about an hour!! They just don't want to know about it.....guess they are going to lose a customer and for the prices of these pillows every one that doesn't buy would have to hurt. I certainly hope they listen to the people that are complaining! I have an even older one that I take with me everywhere overseas....that was how good they were...not now.Similar opinion? EXCELLENT.
Have been searching for a decent pillow for years. I could open a shop with the amount of pillows I own. This pillow is great. I bought the soft pillow instead of the classic and found it a bit low but otherwise its great. I have recommended it to other family members.

This is an excellent value for money pillow
We purchased two. These were the first expensive pillows we had ever purchased. We are now looking to update and will buy the same pillows again. I purchased the pair in 2003 and they are still in excellent condition I just would like to try the higher profile. I can't recommend enough.

Not as good as Dunlopillo Latex pillow used to be
Having bought numerous of these pillows over the years because they were excellent, the last pair I purchased from Myer are not a patch on the older models. These pillows are smaller all round so are baggy in standard pillowslips, they do not provide the same support as before, and smell of burnt rubber. I rang Pacific Dunlop some time ago who were really not interested. What a shame these wonderful pillows have become so inferior

Best pillow
This pillow was given as a gift and is the best one I've ever had. Been using this for 12 years and still doesn't need replacing. I take it everywhere I stay as no other pillow can compare to how comfortable it is. My partner is constantly trying to steal it when we go to sleep so now I'm going to have to go buy him one.
comfortable, lasts a very long time
nothing

Dunlopillo classic
I bought a Dunlopillo Classic 4 years ago. I had tried many types of pillows but they all flattened down and did not give me the support I needed. It took me 1 night to get used to the Dunlopillo Classic and I haven't had a night without it since. It is the best pillow I have ever used and it is as good today as the day I bought it. I have given them as gift to friends and relatives and have only heard positive results. Once you've used a Dunlopillo Classic, you'll never want to go back to 'ordinary' pillows.
It is the perfect pillow.
It's expensive. I bought mine on special at Myers for 40% off.

Just a bit too firm for me
I really wanted to like it but it's just a bit too firm for me. Not in the sense that it's hard, but latex firm (i.e. feels a bit bouncy & too supportive almost). I like being able to sink my head into the pillow but also want the appropriate amount of support. The Classic felt soft enough when I just used my hands to squeeze it in the store, but sleeping on it felt quite different.
I ued it for three nights to try and get used to it, I had trouble falling asleep on it and woke up with sore neck/shoulder muscles. Had to give it away in the ...Read more
end. As I really wanted a Dunlopillo latex pillow because I heard to many good things about it, I tried the Dunlopillo Soft at David Jones, which is the same height profile as the Classic but softer, I decided that is the right amount of softness & support for me so decided to take another shot. And I really really like it, it's like sleeping on a cloud! (will write a review for that pillow separately) Anyway for people who like firm pillows, the Dunlopillo Classic is possibly not considered firm enough, for people who like soft pillows this may be just a tad bit too firm and you may want to give the Soft version a try to compare and see which you prefer. I definitely recommend trying the pillows out in store before buying since there is often a no return policy on pillows. good quality, supportive a bit too firm for meSimilar opinion? Best pillow
This is the most comfortable and supportive pillow I have ever owned. After suffering from neck problems for years due to cheap polyester pillows flattening over a short period of time, I purchased a Dunlopillo classic pillow, and I've never looked back. Its fantastic that this pillow retains its shape for many, many years too. Every time my pillow needs replacing I will be buying this one every time!
Comfortable, supportive, retains its shape for many years.

Pretty good pillow
I wanted a latex pillow to replace mine that had lost it's springiness and bought this pillow after seeing the posiive reviews.
In the store I tried this pillow versus the high profile pillow of the same brand. At first I leaned more towards the high profile pillow but after a while it felt too high and like my head just rolled around on it like a balloon. So I went with the classic. The first couple of nights it took a while to get used to the springiness. I've had my dentons latex pillow for 5 years and it has lost it's plump so it takes ...Read more
a bit to get used to a fresh latex pillow. The pillow does not seem very high looking at it but it feels a lot higher to sleep on than it looks. It is not the best to lie on your back with your head straight but if you tilt your head to the side it cradles your face so nicely. And it is the ultimate for sleeping on your side. This is the most 'snuggy' pillow I've ever used. It cuddles right around your face and feels like a big pillow hug. I've had the best night's sleep I've had all year I'd say, once I'm asleep I stay asleep and don't wake up tossing and turning trying to get comfortable on my pillow. If you love snuggy pillows that allow you to sink your head and half your face in to the pillow but doesn't collapse right down to the mattress this is a great pillow for you. If you are a back or stomach sleeper I probably wouldn't recommend it. Either way test the pillows out in a store. You can't return a pillow once you've bought it so you have to choose wisely. I give it 4 stars as I would not recommend it to everybody, but it is a pretty good pillow nonetheless. Plus it comes with a 10 year holding it's shape warranty. Normally this pillow is about $120 but shop around, I bought one for $69.90. Snuggy factor, doesn't collapse, very comfortable for side sleeping. Can be expensive depending on where you buy it. Takes a few nights to get used to.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Disappointing!
I bought 2 of these pillows, one for myself and the other for my husband. Looking at them and feeling them in their packaging we thought they would be really comfortable. Plus they seemed to have a lot of great reviews which was another reason we bought them in the first place. Well, in my opinion this pilow is definietly not comfortable and is more like a high profile pillow. We both woke up with very sore necks the next morning but despite this we kept using them for a couple more weeks to see if it was just our bodies needing to adjust to th...Read more
em. Still, every time, very sore necks. They are also way to soft and springy, your head keeps sinking in and out of it while you're lying on it. So after trying this my husband and I decided We are not fans of latex pillows and have gone back to using our $10 Kmart pillows which are actually much more comfortable. I would think twice before buying these fairly pricey pillows as if you don't like a high profile or soft pillow, this is not for you. Will not lose shape. Hypoallergenic Uncomfortable. Has a rubbery smell. Way too softSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very comfortable
This is the fifth pillow I've tried and is the most comfortable out of all others including goose down, wool, foam and various combinations. The latex retains it shape is cool to sleep on and is very comfortable. I've had it for about a month and knew it was the right pillow the first night I tried it . While it is a not cheap, it is worth every cent, you get what you pay for. Wish I'd brought one of these first.
Comfort, quality and warranty.

Never have to buy any more again!! Love it!
I always had cheap $20 or so pillows growing up and they just wouldn't do. Suffered enough with the neck pain and sleepless nights. A friend recommended to get the Dunlopillo pillows and she said they worked with her neck and back pain. It didn't hurt to try so I went to Harris Scarfe and sure enough they were on special. Purchased two, for my husband and myself. It took a bit of getting used to (maybe a week or so) but it was well worth the money I spent. It's been 4 and half years and they feel as new as the day I bought them. Be sure to get ...Read more
a stain free pillow protector to keep them looking as new. Now my 2 kids sleep on Dunlopillo's (classic profile) and they sleep through the whole night. Everything! The feel, the quality and the way it bounces back to shape and never goes flat. A little expensive, so only buy when on special.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I love the Therapillows
I have tried many many pillows over the years, and finally I tried a low profile therapillo a few years ago, and love it. Its expensive, but it's so soft and comfy, I went and bought a medium profile too, to swop them around. It's worth the investment. Normal $10 pillows used to go flat on me in 6 months. This one lasts years before you notice it starting to flatten a little. But it's still very comfy.

bit expensive

Very comfortable, keeps its shape --soft--not hot--last a long time--would buy another at any time, even though they are dear.
Soft but comfortable --never loses it's shape. Had it for Many years now maybe 9 or 10. I take it with me whenever I go away as couldn't sleep on another.
The price.I notice when I change the protector it has become a bit crumbly, however it does not effect the comfort.

Heaven to sleep on!
OMG - why have I not had this pillow for years??? This is heaven. I am absolutely thrilled with this baby, and look forward to going to bed. A great pillow makes such a difference to a good nights sleep, and this dunlopillow is fantastic. It doesn't squoosh out of shape, get hot or lumpy, it is perfect. There are three heights, and everyone in our family now has them. They are expensive, but we got ours half price at Harvey Norman Frankston - mid March. They were a bargain! Do yourselves a favour and go buy some. They are brilliant pillows.
comfy, great product

Excellent
We were originally given two Dunlopillos as wedding gifts and quickly fell in love with them. They became such a staple in our lives that we soon learned to travel with them wherever we went.
After ten years of constant use, we decided that although the pillows were still in reasonable condition, it was time to get new ones. The originals were replaced by two more Dunlopillos, which I was pleased to note came with removable covers that would enable me to wash them occasionally. Our daughter also sleeps on a Dunlopillo and our guest beds...Read more

Questions & Answers
Sandy2asked
Is this pillow suitable for a teenage tummy sleeper? Thank you.
2 answers
Hi Sandy in order to answer your question would need to know more . Eg is the teenager small or large build do they have a firmer or softer mattress etc. Assuming they are average build and have a medium firm mattress then i would say no due to the fact latex is a bouncy firmer feeling and would not compress enough to keep their head and neck in good alignment. Try a soft flat pillow eg : feather or polyfill instead or a childrens latex pillow.
How very helpful of you Jed! Teenager is as your describe, with medium firm mattress. Your answer and solution is much appreciated! Thank you so much, Sandra (Adelaide)

My husband & I have been sleeping on Dunlopillow High Profile medium feel pillows measuring 48 x 73cm for about 8 years & love it. Looking to purchase new ones to use in caravan bed. But notice they are now smaller now 44 x 64cm. Also people saying they are not the same, some say they’re too firm others to soft so reluctant to buy them now.
My question is have they changed what they are made of & in size & density??

Can I return this pillow to Dunlopillo directly. It is the biggest waste of money and the store will not take it back despite being too hard!

Hi, I am not sure about this one. Best thing would be to ask them, and complain about it to them stating you want a refund. I don't know if they will accept for 'change of mind', or you could argue that the item was 'not as described' given it causes pain and discomfort. Always keep your receipts and keep copies of these as well for proof of purchase.
