I liked it
Shows you how personal pillows are. I bought this on recommendation of my physio after I had a whiplash injury and just love it. My husband now also uses one and loves it too!

Very Supportive Pillow
Pillows are very personal. I waited until this was half price before buying and didn't really purchase for the gel top cooling properties. I just wanted a decent memory foam pillow that was going to give my neck support while I slept. I used it for a few days and really liked it, although I found the gel top side a little too hard for my liking so I slept on the reverse side. Then my son asked if he could try it out - he didn't want to give it back! So, I ended up buying another one. We really like them. The ones I bought both had velour...Read more
covers which are now old stock. The new ones have a mesh cover which is apparently a lot cooler than the velour. So, if you're reading these reviews and put off because of the negative comments, it's worth noting that Tontine have tried to resolve the issue by replacing the cover. I'm not a hot sleeper so I quite like the soft velour cover.

Waste of money
Very expensive, hard as a rock and unbelievably hot. Feel ripped off . Cant even return it and still need a new pillow. Cant sleep with this one. Could not recommend.

Gets better
I at first thought I'd made a mistake but I gave these pillows time and I now find them so comfortable that I sleep straight through the night. I would say give them a week. A night is inadequate as the structure is so different. And I have not noticed any odour.

Nope, it doesnt work.
OK, I wouldn’t normally bother reviewing something I’m not happy with but if I can prevent one person shelling out 160 bucks on a pillow in the hope that it will miraculously keep your head cooler during the night then that can only be a good thing.
I deliberated long and hard about purchasing one of these and then went ahead. I was sceptical at the time as to how this concept could possibly work and after retiring it after a week I reckon my scepticism was pretty well founded. The pillow itself is very dense, heavy, hard memory foam. I'd go ...Read more

Great pillow!
My boyfriend was having headaches due to tension in his neck, so I purchased one of these pillows for each of us. I am a warm sleeper so am constantly turning my pillow around to get to the 'cool side'. These pillows are amazing comfortable and exactly the right height. The cooling pad does exactly what it is advertised to do, which is to keep your head from getting too warm while you sleep. My boyfriend's headaches have subsided and my quality of sleep has improved. I've read on other reviews that the pillows had a strong smell, I don't know what they are talking about. There is a slight 'foam' smell when you take them out the bag, but airing them for a few hours did the trick. A great product and well worth the money.

Best pillow ever
I bought the High Profile pillow as it was recommended for a side sleeper and I absolutely love it. My neck and back feel great when sleeping on it, so much so that if I am travelling I have to bring my pillow with me because nothing else compares to it, every other pillow is second rate. The smell does go away pretty fast, anyone who thinks that there wouldn't be any smell after manufacturing a polyurethane product is delusional.

Absolute Rubbish
Very disappointing, the Dunlopillo Therapillo Cooling Gel Top Premium Memory Foam Pillow has no support. Its like sleeping with your head on a wet towel, there is no resilience. I bought two of these 1 for me and 1 for wife. The wife tosses hers after 1 night. Passed the pillows down to the kids thinking they wouldn't notice the difference, however both complained the next day that their pillows needed replacing. Both pillows are now not being used and will end up in trash.
The pillow has no resilience. Its like sleeping on a wet towel.

I bought an Elysian memory foam core pillow and switched to the dunlopillo and noticed the difference! Absolutely love it! Perfect support and no smell!
Highly recommendable!! Sales guy really helpful and answered every question! Would definitely buy for my whole family! Wouldn't change it at all!

Love it!
Great pillow! The missus and i both bought one (medium profile) and we both love it!! Its as comfortable as a down pillow (slightly more support i feel) and nowhere near the price - we got them on sale for $40 each. We haven't noticed any smell. I think that the people who are saying its too hard maybe ordered the wrong profile as its one of the most comfortable pillows ive used.
comfortable, no neck soreness

Great support and comfort
I bought 2 of these pillows for my young daughters and they love them. This is a great pillow for children as it is not to high or hard and has great support for their head & neck. It has a lovely soft cover and fits into a standard pillow case.
Comfortable, great support, not too high, soft

Yuck!!! Why would I try and sleep with a smelly pillow all night!
I also just returned a pillow that I purchased from David Jones for my mother! At $170 you would expect a pillow that is comfy and helps you to sleep! I couldn't even stand the smell it left in my car!!! It smells like mould and goes straight to the sinuses! Makes you feel very heady and off!!! Also, the pillow had stains all over the cover as if someone had dribbled over it. When I returned it to the store for an exchange thinking it was shop soiled, another 3 pillows that we opened were all exactly the same!!! And the stench was disgusting!!! Very disappointed!!!!
Smell, it was stained, highly overpriced!

I also purchased 3 this pillows as Christmas gives to my family, but the smell is so bad, I was thinking take to the Fair Trading to get test, if the smell will harms people's health.
I ordered one online, and yes, it stinks like mould, WTF is this about???

Already feel the difference
My partner and I bought a new bed so we decided on some new pillows. I have had some problems with my neck for a couple of months, so I wasn't going cheap this time. I was surprised that it was quite inexpensive and was the recommended type for me. I have already noticed a change in my neck and back alignment. My sleep has been uninterrupted and sometimes I don't want to get out of bed to get to work because of the comfortability. The pillow moulds to the shape of your head/neck and supports your shoulders... I cannot fault this pillow. I love it
reliable, very comfortable, inexpensive, better sleep

The smell is terrible
I purchased this pillow three days ago from David Jones and was looking forward to finally getting a good night. However when I took it out of its packaging the stench was overwhelming. Even after washing the outer cover and leaving the pillow outside for three days, it still stinks. I will definitely be returning this tomorrow and demanding a full refund. Not a happy customer :(

Toxic chemical smell
I am very concerned by the toxic chemical smell of these pillows and will be returning them to Myer on Monday as I do not want to sleep next to such an unnatural smell. I hope the manufacturer does not use awful chemicals that are a risk to health (which is definitely what it smells like)...very worrying

Smell - what smell? Buy this (low) pillow for comfort.
I can't believe these negative reviews. Any smell attached to this pillow (I didn't notice any) is like the smell of a new car - is passes within a very short period. Just air it for a week. Like most products purchased for our homes these days this is made from a synthetic product with a hydrocarbon base.
Having bought this pillow for every member of my family and friends and recommending to my patients with neck pain (I'm a GP) I would have to say I have never had anything but compliments and thanks.
Utterly Brilliant for neck pain but buy the low pillow.
Solved my neck pain (buy the low pillow), soft yet supportive in all sleep positions
Would not recommend the high pillow

Agreed. I have the contour one and I didn't notice a smell. Such a comfy pillow!
Mine certainly did not smell or have any stains. I bought my 2 online.

Had a dunlopillo pillow since 1981 when a full size one was cut in half!
This is the pillow you need if you require perfect support without to much elevation of your head. Keeps your spine in pefect position no matter how you sleep. Perfect if a regular pillow gives you neck pain and want a pillow which is as comfortable as a feather pillow but doesn't require punching it to manipulate the shape and support your neck needs.
The ultimate support in a low profile pillow, very special.
Its uniquess is also pricey but once your used to it, it's almost impossible to sleep without it.

Smelly! Concerned as to what poisonous substances are used to manufacture these pillows.
I bought two of the very expensive Dunlopillo Therapillo's yesterday, and was advised by the sales person that these pillows were definately judged best on the market for quality and comfort. Not So!!After taking them out of the packaging I was instantly overwhelmed by the chemical smell.
I called the same sales person at the store this morning and explained my disappointment with the pillows, she said she had a had other complaints for the same problem, but after airing them for a couple of hours the smell would disappear. I have tried this ...Read more

I was advised to roll the pillow up and leave it for a while then roll it the opposite way, that way it gets rid of that latex chemical smell
I completely agree re the smell. I have since discovered that they are made from polyurathane foam. Polyurathane is in fact toxic.
I agree, just bought a Therapillow Gel Top today, it says premium memory foam, so why does it smell like rocket fuel? Premium i think not, my whole apartment is reeking of it. As soon as I opened th... Read more
e bag I became nauseous, how does a person pay $200 for a pillow they cant sleep on? Reports here of airing for a week and the smell going gives me hope but i question why the manufacturer doesn't advise this? I know this pillow will be returned to the store, that smell has a half life of 40,000,000 years.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Best pillow ever! Highly recommended.
I have had back pain for most of my life, especially when waking up in the morning. I hadn't been able to sleep with a pillow for a long time as it would cause my back even more pain, so I went in search of the best pillow to hopefully alleviate the pain. I came across the Therapillo about 4 years ago, and bought myself the low profile pillow (because I am of small stature). The day after having used it, my back felt 100% better and I had a full night's rest. I then went out and bought my partner the medium profile pillow but he found that ...Read more
although it was good, it was a bit to high for him so I purchased another low profile pillow for him, and he can't sleep on any other pillow. His back has also improved from using this pillow. I have since bought about 5 more of these pillows (once when I went interstate and couldn't do without it), and have given them away. Everyone I have gifted the pillow to has loved it! I think the main thing to be aware of, is that you need to choose the right size pillow. If you are of medium or small build, I think the low profile is better, but if you are of medium build and like a higher pillow, the medium profile would be great, because unlike other pillows, these pillows retain their loftiness. The pillow did smell initially, but for the comfort, it was well worth putting up with the smell for a week or so. Extremely comfortable, excellent quality The initial smell, but this isn't a big issue in my opinion.2 comments

Is this the same as the "soft low profile" dunlopillow, previously with pink packaging? I cant do without that one, and find it disappears from the market for many years at a time. No response to my question directly to the company.

Anyone had a problem with the blue gel leaking out onto the pillowslip and the head? Bought the pillow from Myer just over 6 months ago and it hasn’t been used much... It sounds like a fault to me so I need to find out how to return it.
