Great Folding Bike
I’m on my 2nd Dyson A’s first got stolen when 1yr old. Had new one for 18 months & if you want a folding bike it’s the best money can buy. I’m an old guy & can easily lift into boot of SUBARU. Back seat needs to be down. I also loosen handlebars to fit in easier & take 1 pedal off. Easy as takes 2 mins to unfold & put pedal back on. If have power mode middle of range I’ve done 70 kms.All in all a great e bike
Purchased in May 2021 at Subiaco.

A 25km/h electric mountain biking dream - big thumbs up!
Just got one of these. It is a very impressive mountain bike. Thought I should share some of the details so that anyone potentially interested can weigh it up - though I would recommend for most people.
First, basic details of purchase. I got for $2K AUD from electricbikesbrisbane.com cause they had one in stock in the showroom I could test ride. I should point out that I got this one with the 10.4 amp battery, they threw in a bike pump and helmet (and emergency puncture repair kit) which was very helpful. The charger that came with it ...Read more
only charges the battery in the bike but I am going to order a backup that can be charged outside of the bike. I also purchased a front and rear led light (USB chargeable). Second, security that comes with it. Only a pair of little keys for locking the battery within the bike nothing to stop theft of the bike itself (only the battery from the bike). You will need to consider a chain or ulock I would think. Third, the battery. Upon purchase, my 10.4 amp battery was just over half way full (based on the LED display on the bike) and was charged to full in about 2 hours. The battery can be slid out of the centre of the frame when the bike is folded. It is very easy. I believe lower and higher capacity batteries can also be used. At the time of writing this it was $499 for another 10.4 amp battery that has 500 recharge - deplete cycles. Fourth, battery drain. Tonight I rode the bike path the 20km from NewFarm to the end of Coronation Drive (and back) and it was only 20% or less drained. To achieve this I rode on average with battery assist on level 3 (out of 5 levels) in one direction and then returned almost entirely on H (thumb throttle only - no pedaling). The way was mostly flat but not entirely (about 30 mins each way with a short stop midway and slowing down near restaurants and ferry stops).Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Hi Rollo. I'm just looking at getting one of these. Has it needed much in the way of service? Any particular extras you would recommend? Oh, and BTW, it is not the same Dyson as the vacuum mob -- but from your review sounds like they are just as reliable! Excited to transition to ebike. :)

How is the experience of people with this Dyson bike after a few years, in particular with respect to the derailleur ? Does it cause trouble and if you fold the bike regularly, I would think it needs frequent readjustments ?

Thanks for your review. Looking at this bike and I was wondering how do you find riding up the suburban hills on this bike? (e.g perhaps Paddington, Indooroopilly etc). As I am contemplating either getting this bike with 200W or a 250W bike. I will be using it for commuting. Cheers

Hi. I have a Dyson Bondi bike and I live in Brisbane. I've tested it on the hills in Paddington quite a bit. Going up Fernberg Rd and steeper is no problem. It makes riding a bike up hills an absolute breeze! I had a sore knee for a while and couldn't pedal much at all. So glad I had my Dyson. Just make sure you have the pedal assist on a high setting early if you know you're going up a steep hill. I've tried changing it halfway up the hill and that isn't so great. But you wouldn't change gears too late either on a mountain bike or a car because you would lose your revs. So it's the same concept really.
