Not bad but not great
This product is not very effective, and when turned to the highest power it can get quite noisy. The air isn't that effective especially in the middle of an Australian summer and I am still needing to use another fan as well to cool down. It's okay on the lower speeds but the higher one is not the best. I feel like you can get cheaper fans which do the same thing.

It's not a bad fan...but
There are a few gripes that I will mention a little later.
Works well, relatively quiet, except for the higher settings.
Child safe, which is why I purchased it in the first place.
Good for augmenting cold air from other fans such as portable air conditioners.
The not so good
Far too dependent on the remote for functionality. Remote is too small and potentially too easy to lose or misplace
No functionality on the fan except the power button

Firstly, this Is no more quiet or powerful than a $50 conventional fan. Please do not waste your money on this product.
It is neither cool nor quiet and now the oscillator ceases to work, have sent emails without a response and now have sat on hold with Dyson customer service for an hour, terrible support.

Omg what a waste of money
I purchased his today over $500 at Myer the fan was blowing cold hair for about 2 min and it went to this hot hair as if I turned on the heater what a disappointment it’s discusting how much you charge $10 fan would do the same job very very angry

Really slow service to replace a lemon
My 89 year old mother bought one of these fans, based on Dyson's reputation for quality. What a disappointment!
The fan didn't work properly from the get go, turning itself off after a few minutes every time.
We took the unit to Taren Point on 22nd December, and were told that day, that it would be replaced, but that they didn't have one in stock there, but that she would get a replacement in 3-5 working days.

It is 40 degrees today and I have bought this 1hr ago at Harvey Norman. $550 and 1hr later, it stopped working and won't turn back on.
Good thing I didn't throw the box away. It will be easier to return this tomorrow as it has a very nice box.
Everything is perfect except that it doesn't work. My advise to you is to take your money somewhere else.

Like the look of the sky m line fan and it doesn't take up as much space as the traditional fans
The fan is quiet on most of the flow settings but noisier on highest but not too bad
and I like the option of the 10 different flow of air settings
It seems to give a much gentler air flow than traditional fans

Still going strong!
Purchased in January 2014. I find the noise soothing which helps me to fall asleep.
It's also very easy to use and maintain.
Utilised more during summer or hot days.
The high price (IMO) does equate to high quality if maintained properly. There's always a few bad batches that do not get manufactured to specifications, although ours works just like the first time it was turned on.
Still going strong!

Best fan I've ever had
Thought it was a bit gimmicky when my husband bought it last year but honestly it is so much cooler than a regular fan, light to move around, easy to dust, and kid safe. It isn't silent (other reviews seem to think it shouldbe?) But don't find it too loud to put in a kids room when they are napping if that is a guide. Quieter than air con. Being 8 mths pregnant on a 30+ degree day like today I actually didn't need aircon, this fan did the trick for me.

The Dyson WHINES!
When I first used my Dyson Tower fan it was whisper quiet. Almost a year later, it "whines" on settings 1 through 6. If I want the quiet whisper I need to set it to 7 or higher which is too much. I should have bought a less expensive one...one model that is priced reasonably (not a Dyson), is whisper quiet and stays that way. Hard to sleep at night with all the noise the Dyson makes now.

Happy with performance with minor reservations.
We are pleased with the heat output - not too hot and not costly to run. The beaut part about this model is the remote control and in the mornings it doesn't take long to take the chill off the air! It's easy to clean because it simply does not have large surface areas.
It's compact, does the job and easy to store in summer. It's actually perfect for coastal S.E.Queensland
The downside is the noise from the fan - it's not really all that bad but louder than, say, an air conditioner.
We paid a over $500 for it because we trust the name Dyson but we feel we made a good decision.

Low speeds great 1-4 after very loud
The title says it . 1-4 speeds are perfect after this fan is the loudest fan I had ever bought. Def not worth $300 plus on other towers than are quiter. The design is what you're paying for in my opinion on this device. Don't get me wrong it's a good device however the price is what give you buyers remorse.

Very happy with this fan!
Can't fault this fan- saw the reviews stating how loud it was. I'm not sure what they are talking about, this is one of the quietest fans I've ever heard especially on lower settings. Very easy to maintain and well worth the extra money. We've always had trouble with dust with our fans, this will be a problem of the past now.

Its Expensive but worth the money!
Agree with most users its LOUD at full speed, but on the other hand the best feature is the variable speed!! So you can set this to very very low speeds to get a gentle breeze in the space without blowing things around all the time!!! Love it! And after 2 years its still running like new, except for the discolouration of the white plastic under the sun.....

Expensive but worth it to me
I hesitated due to expense but bought from Harvey Norman, who thankfully delivered within two days, just in time for Sydney's worst ever heatwave.
The lowest settings, 1 or 2, provide enough air to cool you down in bed, quietly and unobtrusively. Best ever (no, I'm not on the payroll). Having ten digital settings provides more flexibility than in a pedestal fan. The AM07 has the feel of what I think of as a "sensitive thoroughbred" - brilliant when it works, but easily broken. The reviews complaining of early breakdowns also suggest this. Best fan I have ever bought!
This fan is more powerful and quieter than any fan I have ever owned. Sleek and attractive it fits beautifully into our decor. Very happy with our purchase. Looking forward to many years of use. The remote is easy to use and i love the way it sits magnetically on top of the fan. Great oscillation range too. Highly recommend.

Rubbish product. Broke within 1.5 months of purchase. Not worth the money.
Purchased the EXPENSIVE Dyson fan via The Good Guys at the end of November to try and endure the Summer Brisbane Heat. It died at the beginning of January. Now it's the end of January and it's still being repaired. Waste of money. Don't bother with this product. A $15 Kmart fan would have lasted longer than this hunk of junk. Even paid more for 'Gold Concierge' with The Good Guys and they couldn't replace the item because it was outside of 30days from purchase and also because the item was over $500 (We paid $559). Rubbish service from all parties.

Apologies for any disappointment, however Dyson Cool AM07 fans sold in the Australia are designed to work on the Austrlian power supply with a voltage of 240V. If used on a 120V power supply, your machine won't work as intended and we can't recommend the use of adaptors or converters.

Has anyone had a white fan for over a year or two and can tell me if the plastic has gone slightly yellow or hard to keep looking clean? My partner told me to get a black one due to this, but I prefer white.

As long as your machine isn't stored in direct sunlight, we wouldn't anticipate any yellowing of a Dyson machine.
For cleaning, we would recommend routinely wiping the machine with a soft dry cloth. When done routinely, this will help avoid any discolouration.
