Fantastic device.
Expensive but a great little fan. Quiet and powerful. Gets the job done and looks great! Compared to similar pedestal fans I would say much much quieter and doesn't feel harsh and in your face. Has to be the best looking device out there. Would certainly recommend to anyone. Brilliant.

Great product (AM07), however still too noisy
So easy to move room to room. Very light and very small footprint. More stable than it looks. So easy to clean and effective in moving air around. Remote is small and fiddly, difficult to see and use. Good first design for the remote but needs work.
The fan itself is still too noisy on anything above half speed. Sure, bursts of high speed you could put up with, however the high frequency whine the unit produces at higher speeds is very annoying. It's the type of sound that is difficult to put up with in th background. I would buy again however it's only useful at low speeds in my view - due to the noise. Dyson' claim of "60% quieter!" (Than what? A jumbo?) is not accurate.

Looks good, a bit noisier than expected
Looks great, doesn't take up much floor space. I do like the small remote but it can get lost in the couch very easily and can't use by touch. The buttons are hard to distinguish in the dark. Its extremely light and easy to move from room to room. Love the safety of not having any blades with a toddler in the house.
Does give a strong breeze but the higher settings are a bit noisier than i expected. Timer setting is brilliant and easy to work.
Great fan but at a cost

Perfect but not cheap
Bought mine years (4?) ago works well
Use it all day in Summer even when air con is going
Allows me to run air con at higher temp so saves energy
Is slightly noisy
Would like a slight tilt to adjust air flow upwards a bit this creates zone cooling for Air Con
Just put a small tin under on side to creat tilt

Solid Fan
A nicely designed fan that can be moved easily around the house and can help cool down a room that might not have aircon. Pretty powerful when you crank it up and the oscillation is quite wide, which helps cover an entire room. My only knock is that it can be a bit loud at top speed, but I guess that is to be expected.

Was great for 2 weeks
Initially I loved this fan, the airflow was cooler, the power strong, overall it seemed worth it. But about 2 or 3 weeks after we bought it, it suddenly conked out and wouldn't turn on again. For a brand like Dyson and the fact they cover it with a 2 year guarantee, this isn't acceptable.

Already done so. I suspect a fuse has blown, however unlike the US model, the fuse is in the motor module and secured with star shaped screws. I've never had an appliance where the customer can't repl... Read more
ace a simple fuse! Why is that? I spent 20 mins on hold today, and on 4 previous attempts to dial all I got was "line busy" response. I was advised it's a 10 business day turnaround to have it replaced, so should I expect this to be a regular occurrence? I sure as hell won't be lugging this thing to and fro from the post office every month! I'm not looking forward to seeing how this thing performs under load when the weather gets even hotter!Dyson Team ..Dyson

Didn't last the distance
Worked really well for a year then no air volume. Took it back to retailer. When it was returned to us worked really well for about 8 months then very poor air flow again. It's now pretty much ineffective.
The design is great and cleaning is easy. Our issue was that it just didn't last as a reliable appliance.

Very Good Fan
Sleek design so unobtrusive 12 months old never had to hide away in winter as it blends perfectly into the background. Power output is great slight noise past speed setting #5 but no worse than any other fan. If you are sensitive to a LED power and level setting light this will be noticeable if your trying to go to sleep. Best thing about this fan you can put it anywhere it just fits. Only negative if any that could be improved is the tiny remote beautiful and sleek and it is magnetised to be stored neatly on the fan so logically you shouldn't...Read more
loose it, but is all white so to change the settings I need my glasses to see the deceptively smooth small buttons. but this would not stop from buying another Dyson fan. Very happy with fan after 12 months.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A Benchmark in fans except for...
Ok the reason I bought this product is because in my large bedroom I like to have a circulation of air during Summer & Winter (non stuffy).
Now I don't need a heater as I have a suitable appliance which does that.
I Bought the Am 07 Tower fan from Bing Lee (Homemaker Centre Alexandria Sydney) for $489.00 with a bit of haggling and the first thing I noticed was the unique design and "click together" assembly of this product definitely a well designed appliance.
Now the AM07 has 10 speeds and an oscillating feature and a sleep timer + a remote...Read more

Excellent!
This fan is amazing! Really happy with my purchase. Worth every penny! It's perfect for a small room, it distributes the cool air really well and is really quiet. I would recommend this product to my friends and family. I also love the sleek design, so much better than your typical fan.

I was expecting something better for its price
Positive:
Nice breeze, especially during the night. We've stopped using aircon during sleep time.
Negative:
Got our fan from Good Guys Helensvale (Qld)
It become noisy after two weeks of use. I dropped it back to Good Guys to be send to repairer. Repairer replaced a motor so it seem to be working fine.
*Broke it two weeks (become noisy)
*Poor reaction on remote control
*GG Helensvale took 3 week instead up to 2 weeks for repair

$12 Fan is Better
I bought the AM07 today after a lot of research along with a $12 fan from Target with no research.
I tested them both out and the $12 fan produces more cool air and makes the same amount of noise.
So what exactly makes the Dyson worth $649?
You'd be a mug to buy this as there is absolutely no advantage over a $12 fan other than it looks better and has a remote.
Save your money!

Very Good Though Not Great
While this looks amazing in any room in the house, I was surprised how loud it can get in the settings from 5-10. Was expecting more from a product in this price range to be honest. Still gives off a reasonable air flow and looks impressive. Don't know if I'd buy again though.

Great fan, but not a great price
The fan works very well and lives up to the quality I expect from Dyson. It has all the bells and whistles as the other AM models with a greater reach than the desk fan and can cool larger rooms much easier. The downside is that it is very expensive and it does not oscillate. This would be an obvious choice when on sale, but it deserves some shopping around if you want to purchase it at full price.

Will my Dyson Fan from Australia work in the USA?
1 answer
Dyson Team ..Dyson
Apologies for any disappointment, however Dyson Cool AM07 fans sold in the Australia are designed to work on the Austrlian power supply with a voltage of 240V. If used on a 120V power supply, your machine won't work as intended and we can't recommend the use of adaptors or converters.
If we can assist further, please don't hesitate to get in touch via [email protected], we are happy to help.

Has anyone had a white fan for over a year or two and can tell me if the plastic has gone slightly yellow or hard to keep looking clean? My partner told me to get a black one due to this, but I prefer white.

As long as your machine isn't stored in direct sunlight, we wouldn't anticipate any yellowing of a Dyson machine.
For cleaning, we would recommend routinely wiping the machine with a soft dry cloth. When done routinely, this will help avoid any discolouration.
We hope this helps, however if we can assist further our Dyson Experts are available via [email protected] and happy to help.

This is certainly not the behaviour we would expect from any Dyson machine.
Please email [email protected] and we will be happy to help.
