The best bagless canister vacuum, but it is a bagless.
I'll start by saying that if you want a bagless vacuum cleaner, The Dyson Big Ball Animal + is just about the best you can do.
But, and there are a few buts, the cleaner is not perfect, and although Dyson's multi cyclonic dust separation system is legendary, and really has not been replicated well by any other manufacturer, the system is not perfect, and compared to a bagged cleaner, actually takes a bit of effort to maintain.
With a well designed bagged cleaner you simply pop the bag out, throw it in the bin, and install a new bag. During th...Read more
is process it is easy to be exposed to little to no dust, and the canister of the vacuum itself will rarely if ever need any cleaning or maintenance, the bag contains all of the dust, so the cleaner itself remains clean, eventually you might need a new exhaust filter, but generally, that's it. However, with a bagless cleaner, and Dyson certainly is not immune to this, you must empty the canister into a bin in a way that inevitably exposes you to a plume of dust. The dust cylinder will become lined with dust that will need washing or brushing out, and the entire cyclonic dust separation system will eventually become caked with dust, these problems are not unique to Dyson, but exist for all bagless cleaners. Bagless vacuum cleaners simply are more labour intensive to clean and maintain than bagged, and this is hardly ever spoken about, but it is true. What is unique to Dyson though, is the difficulty of cleaning and maintaining all of this. First of all the gap between the transparent external cylinder wall and the central dust shroud at the top of the cylinder appears to be too narrow. I'm sure the engineers at Dyson have worked endlessly on this, but the problem remains that dust gets jammed at the top of the cylinder and does not fall to the bottom consistently. This has an obvious and noticeble effect on airflow therefore the performance of the cleaner, adding to the issue is just how quickly after emptying the cleaner this can happen, we have a carpeted two bedroom apartment and before we have finished cleaning the clogs and jams have started to appear, every time we vacuum with this cleaner we must go through a maintenance routine else the cleaner will not be ready next time it comes time to clean. Worst out of all of this, the chimes of "no loss of suction" don't really ring true here, not for long anyway.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Lives up to the Dyson name
I own three long haired animals so I was excited to try this animal + directly on the animals plus the hair they are shedding all over the house at this time of year especially.
I find I am vacuuming every two days so this vacuum got a very good trial. I had a bit of a problem trying to do the online warranty, it wouldn't accept the number for some reason so I will have to ring them about that.

y and has damaged my walls and architraves being so solid and heavy. My DC23 is going strong after 10 years and I actually do love it with the turbohead. So, that being said it was nice to trial this product and compare. Pluses with this vacuum: 1. It is lightweight, easy to zip out and quickly vacuum up a mess which I love. Very manoeuvrable. 2. Clear canister is great for seeing how much dirt is in there and that it needs emptying and seeing what the heck you just sucked up from under the kids bed.Purchased in September 2021.

It sucks - literally!
I live in an apartment with a toddler, a husband that sneeze every morning and a cat, so it's important that the vacuum have great suction. I became a fan of Dyson ever since I bought the Dyson V6 Animal+ 3 years ago. But this Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal + is one of a kind. The vacuum is beautifully designed. Its colours and shape reminds me of a beautiful peacock. I have no problem putting the vacuum together, the instructions manual is simple and clear. I like the different heads for different surfaces. We have laminate timber floor, tiles,...Read more
and rugs throughout the apartment, so it was great using all the different accessories. And there're short videos on Dyson website showing what each accessory does, which is great because no one has time to read. Manoeuvring the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball was a hassle at first – comparing to my cordless Dyson V6, but I got used to it after a few days. I also love the cinetic technology, I was so amused that I kept turning hard corners to see it falls and then picks itself up. Suction is great – it sucks everything on every surface. The tangle-free turbine tool is good for picking up my cat's hair from fabric surfaces. And the canister is huge, so I can do the whole place without having to empty it a few times. Plus it's so much easier to empty the canister now. No need to open the canister and shake the dirt out. One push of a button, everything falls into the bin nice and tidy. Amazing! I wish Dyson has invented this earlier. Ok, after listing out all the pros, here're the cons.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Having a ball with Dyson...
I gather that there are Dyson people and anti-Dyson people. Those against Dyson complain about the price of their products and with vacuums the noise level being excessive, amongst other things. If you're an anti-Dyson person, you may as well move on, as I'm not going to be able to sell you this vacuum. This is an excellent vacuum in lot's of ways, but it has some of the same Dyson foibles that some of their other models suffer from, but which committed Dyson customers are apparently blind to!

motors to be annoying, but nothing in comparison to the high-pitched whine of screaming children. Either are easily solved by using earplugs or my preferred solution, bluetooth earpieces playing some calming classical music. Assessing the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal+ is fairly easy. Firstly, after unpacking the machine and it's multiple parts you have to assemble it for use, this may be your first hurdle to surmount, because the "User Guide" has very sparse instructions and as with most technology products these days, it is expected that there is a level of intuitive assembly skills on the part of the customer! If that is your first problem, then it's down hill from here, because you have an array of attachments for different floors, carpet and furnishings which would baffle Einstein and once again the "User Guide" is very secretive about their possible uses. I deduced that the "Grooming Tool" was for grooming your pet(s). I know it sounds logical to suck the loose hair off your moggie or doggie before they deposit it on your carpets or settee, but in practical terms have you ever tried vacuuming an animal? I was in hot pursuit of my cat as it scurried up the hallway escaping a screaming human, dragging a ferociously loud plastic monster. He only escaped because I was abruptly stopped in my pursuit by an impracticably short power cord (a measly 6 metres). Darn it, I'll get him next time, should he ever come out from under the bed! Clearly, there are enough attachments for this vacuum for you to find something that's useful for the job at hand. However if you're like me, you'll find a couple of all-rounders that satisfy your everyday needs for carpets, hard floors and furniture and stick to them, the others (including the grooming tool) will be left in the laundry cupboard. In short, this is as good a vacuum as you are likely to find in the market, yes, it has a few things to get use to, or could be improved a little, but overall it's a well designed machine (who's ever seen a self-righting vacuum after its rolled over?) and what may seem strange to you at first, will become second nature in time. The bottom line is, if you really hate it, take it back within 45 days and get a refund, it's not the end of the world, it's my cat who thinks it is!Purchased in September 2021.

Conceptually Brilliant !
My mother had a bagless vacuum cleaner back in the 70’s. It was a complete monster to empty ... and guess whose job it was!! Being environmental people we have patiently waited for a decent contemporary bagless to come to market, but were wary of making sure the time was right, given those awful memories. Fast forward a generation ... and up steps Dyson!!
We were provided with this model to review under the Ambassador programme, and hoo boy what a difference some evolutionary time makes!! The vac was beautifully packed, using almost exclusivel...Read more
y cardboard. Take note chain-draggers ... packaging that’s not toxic to the world is possible. Initially I was grumpy that there was nothing that could be even remotely termed an owners manual in the pack ... just a sheet with diagrams and the ubiquitous language spanning symbols. HOWEVER ... this baby is simply so ridiculously intuitive that owners manuals are out of date in this company!! Anybody speaking any language will “get” it with ease. The pieces slid together and clicked positively into place using an ingenious slotted rail system so that they can only go in one way. Removal is a simple “press the red clip” affair. I like this since it’s idiot-proof. Several attachments included covering the entire spectrum you’d expect or want from a vac ... including deployment in the car. They even give you a neat pet grooming attachment - in keeping with the pet friendly nomenclature of the model. However our dog has short hair ... and would have a seizure if we brought the vac anywhere near her ... she’s more at home rounding up Roos out in the paddocks! It’s certainly a fun idea though. Perhaps I could use it to style the daughter’s hair!!!Purchased in September 2021.

Great Powerful Vacuum
Overall my Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal+ is a great Vacuum, heres why i love it;
• It does what it’s made for!
This vacuum claims to be powerful and... It is! When i first opened it, i vacuumed what i thought was a clean bit of carpet, but when i looked at the clear barrel it had a lot of dust in it! This is great news for asthmatics or people with allergies.
• It does not tip
If you pull it around awkward corners, a usual vacuum would tip over and you would have to stop what you’re doing to put it back up... this is very frustrating and can...Read more

Grows on you
I’d been reading – and hearing from friends and family – about Dysons and how good they are, from the powerful, bagless vacuums to the really cool-looking and easy to clean fans. As my only first-hand experience are their excellent hand dryers in the better public washrooms and my Mum’s Dyson fan, I was excited at the prospect of test-driving a Dyson Big Ball Cinetic Animal+ vacuum. The ‘bagless’ feature appealed as it is greener than buying vacuum bags, while the Animal+ bit was particularly alluring as I have 2 cats and 3 long-haired girls wh...Read more
o are continuously shedding. KEY POINTS (If you are reading this review, please note that this is from the viewpoint of a short, petite female with small hands, so it’s all relative!) Compared to my old barrel vacuum, the Dyson is more powerful and seems to clean better, but is much noisier, heavier and harder to store. In summary, the pros and cons in my view after nearly a month are: PROS: * • Very powerful suction. * • Ergonomic handle with handy pressure release trigger.Purchased in September 2021.

There is nothing like a Dyson to leave an impression!
Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal+
Introduction
In the world of vacuum cleaners, I suspect there are few people who haven’t heard of Dyson as a brand and of James Dyson’s reputation as a British Inventor. Dysons design some of the most innovative vacuum cleaners that many of us would like to have in our homes. James Dyson came up with the idea of the worlds first bagless vacuum cleaner in the 1970s after being frustrated with his own vacuum cleaner and his experience with the old bag system that constantly clogged up with dust and reduced the s...Read more
uction performance. James Dyson demonstrates very clearly in adverts that he wishes to invent things to perform better and to their maximum potential. I was given this great opportunity to test the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal Plus, the second to the highest in the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball range. The top of the range is the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Absolute. It just so happens I was thinking of getting my apartment professionally cleaned as the carpet was looking like it needed professional attention. My generic vacuum cleaner was not doing a very good job of what it was supposed to do, vacuum the carpet and make it look like the carpet had been vacuumed. It was a perfect test, to see how the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal Plus would perform.Purchased in September 2021.

Just about close to perfect
For those who are in a hurry, here is the executive summary:
The Good
- The suction is phenomenal.
- It goes around corners easily.
- Should you manage to make it fall on its side, it automatically rolls itself into the upright position again (see video).
- Emptying the barrel is amazingly easy, quick and clean (well, mostly).
- There are no filters. Hence no replacing, washing or checking filters anymore.
- The turbo head works really well on a relatively thick carpet....Read more

An amazing vacuum cleaner!
I’ve been using the “Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal+” vacuum cleaner, which currently retails for $749 from the Australian Dyson website (also available from many major retailers), for the least 3 weeks now. There are 4 versions of this vacuum cleaner, which start at $499 all the way to the range-topping “Absolute” at $849! For an average Australian household, the higher-spec models do represent an awful lot of money and would not be something that I would usually consider, especially on mine and my wife’s teachers’ incomes. Well, is the Dyson ...Read more
really worth the money or is it just another exclusive and aspirational icon of prestige which doesn’t quite justify its hefty price tag? Read on… Upon opening and unwrapping the contents of the box, a myriad of connectors and attachments (including a smaller rotating brush head for carpeted steps, a 2-in 1 crevice/brush tool and an evil-looking animal hair vacuum brush!) fascinated me. The basic manual with its diagrams was quite easy and intuitive to follow. At least for this handy-person. The locks on the attachments’ connectors are all colour-coded in red and they engaged positively in place with a reassuring ‘click’. Releasing the locks by pressing the red tabs was easy and uneventful. My first impression of the main unit was that it was of a solid and reassuringly hefty weight. However, to me the attachments and light vacuum tubes were very light, so much so that I was concerned about the fragility of these items! I am happy to say that 3 weeks later I have grown accustomed to the lightness of the attachments, hose and tube. A positive aspect of this is that it makes the task of vacuuming an easier job – manoeuvring the vacuum head on carpets and hard flooring (with the hard floor attachment) was a light process, requiring minimal effort. The swivelling sections on the attachments and handles also allows manoeuvring the vacuum head into awkward or tight spaces a snack. The main unit moves around well and had no issues with tipping over. This machine is bagless and whilst I was happy with the thought of not needing to endlessly buy not-so-cheap original equipment disposable bags (and also doing my little bit to reduce landfill), being an asthmatic, and having not-so-pleasant experiences emptying dust waste canisters into bins many years ago during my first experience with a bagless vacuum cleaner, did play on my mind. Removal of the dust waste canister was again just a matter of depressing the red-coloured release button on the main unit and lifting the canister up. Emptying the canister itself involves depressing a red-coloured lever downwards, which releases the hinged bottom door. I held my breath (quite literally!) only to be pleasantly surprised that the dust had clumped together tightly into dense plumes which dropped straight into the bin with very little dust particles billowing around to play havoc with my asthma. Phew! Replacing the canister on to the main unit was again easily done and confirmed by that reassuring ‘click’. My primary concern was not how easy to use and how beautifully designed the unit was, but how well it functions as, you know, an actual vacuum cleaner and how well it would remove dirt matter from my carpets. For the last 5 years or so, I’ve been using my bag Miele machine which I believed to be quite remarkable in how well it cleaned my carpets (I’m one of those people how actually find vacuuming an entirely therapeutic activity!). The performance of the Dyson absolutely floored me. The rotating brush vacuum head not only aids in agitating engrained dirt and matter to be vacuumed away but it also acts to partly revive flat and dull carpet areas. The suction of the unit was staggering and the volume of dirt and matter removed from carpets after each use was incredible. I’ve attached photos of the matter emptied from the canister after vacuuming just my modestly-sized (4x6m) loungeroom – the canister had been emptied after each use. I’ve also attached a video of the machine in use and also the visible amount of matter collected from my loungeroom carpet just from that one usage! I am now truly converted, finding it amazing how well the Dyson performs in cleaning my carpets. Just several observations from my use: - Unlike my old Miele, there is no power adjustment dial – I’m not sure whether this makes any difference in actual usage. The machine works equally well on carpets of varying thicknesses and hard flooring. - Removing hair wound up around the rotating brush head was easier than I thought it would be, though I would suggest doing so after each use to avoid a big tangled mess later on. - The 2-in-1 brush/crevice tool’s design is very clever – you have a crevice tool which transforms into a brush by sliding the brush forwards. The brush bristles, however, are way too soft and, given the cost of the machine, I suggest that Dyson should include a brush with sturdier bristles for those cleaning duties which require one, such as air conditioner or heater air filters. - It would have been nice for Dyson to include an accessories box or bag to contain the various attachments. In summing up, the essential question is: Does the performance and features of the Dyson justify it’s comparatively large price tag? Personally, having a young family of 3 children under 12 years of age (and 1 cat!) means that my carpets endure quite a bit of punishment. I also suffer from asthma triggered by exposure to dust. The physical volume of matter removed by the Dyson that I have repeatedly seen with my own eyes and have emptied is a compelling and highly persuasive argument. While the purchase price is relatively high, there is a cost saving compared to bag vacuum cleaners. In my situation though, the amazing cleanliness that the Dyson leaves my carpet has changed my initial doubts about the Dyson and I am now a fan! So for me, the answer is a resounding “Absolutely!” I love the Dyson and would buy one again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!Purchased in August 2021.

The Only Vacuum Cleaner You'll Ever Need
I have been using the Dyson Cordless V8 Absolute (cordless), and it has been a breeze to use, until I’ve got to try the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal +. Ease of use: The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball is quite easy to use, it falls, it re-adjusts itself instantly, and the beauty of this is you don’t lose any suctions or experience any functionality issues. It’s there to fix itself back up while you’re on and about vacuuming as though as nothing’s happened. Assembling the Dyson is easy as, and vacuuming, well, you know it. It’s also easy to carry around if you have stairs for example. It’s not as heavy as it looks, at least it wasn’t heavy for me, and it’s quite comfortable to carry. Does the Dyson name precede the product?
Many people would say Dyson is just a name. The product has stood throughout the years and has massively improved.
This is a non biased review on the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal+.
Firstly, the 2 year warranty is a bonus (as shown in photos enclosed). There are many attachments for many uses throughout the house. Let’s be honest, through trial and error you will know what attachment suits you best in your vacuuming. Some of the attachments are quite versatile, so you don’t only need to use each attachment on one surface. In this case, you’d n...Read more
eed a carry case with you to keep on swapping in each room. You have your standard floor attachment that can vacuum from carpet surface directly to tile/floorboards. No need to adjust the floor head. Thin nozzle for tight corners etc. as stated and picture shows nicely individual packed attachments. The design of the vacuum cleaner has come a long way. Being a ball design gives it added advantage of it rolling back to its original position. No need to have to worry about it turning upside down, as this has happened to all of us and being caught. Personally, this is a plus on the design. The suction from this Dyson is unbelievable. You don’t realise how much suction a vacuum cleaner has until you hear the tiny fibres being sucked up. We have floorboards as we live in a old home and I have to get down and do the gritty clean of loosening dirt caught between the boards then using a brush to double aid the removal. The suction from this Dyson cleaner saved me so much time and effort. Ha, no more kneeling and going through the boards individually. There is also a release clip at the handle for over suction, so no fear of literally lifting boards or carpet. The telescope pole adjusts to different lengths/heights so you may use in higher places. Each attachment can easily click into place and be removed just as easily.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great vacuum with everything you need
The Animal+ is an upgrade from my Dyson DC29 which is over 5 years old. I loved my old vacuum but this one seems more powerful, quieter and comes with loads of attachments.
The turbine head is really powerful and the suction and bristles mean you can see and hear the dirt and fur getting sucked up - in fact, the sound is really satisfying. A month before we got this machine we had our walls plastered, I thought we had removed all the dust but on the first use of this machine, I could see the turbine head pulling up a lot more plaster dust from...Read more
the edges of carpets. One of the things I love about this vacuum is that the turbine head can be used on both carpet and tiles without having to change or adjust anything. Call me lazy but if I only want to do a speed clean, I just use that attachment to do my whole house, which is a mix of wool carpet and tiles. On my tiled floors, I do need to take a bit more time as the turbine head can blow and push some of the dirt around before sucking it up. Personally if I'm just doing a quick clean, I prefer to take a couple extra seconds rather than change the head mid-clean…but if I am taking a bit more time then I will use the hard floor tool. The hard floor attachment is low profile with a flexible join so I can get close to the ground and underneath my joinery, vanity and furniture. The steering and mobility on the Animal+ is definitely an improvement from my previous vacuum. It is lighter, has a longer cord and telescopic handle and the ball design gives more mobility and movement. I tend to race around and vacuum quickly (only way to do it right?!) and with my previous Dyson it would topple over a lot but the ball design sets itself right so I can just keep going with my vacuuming. I was concerned about storage as we are in a small townhouse but this vacuum packs up compactly into the bottom of my kitchen cupboard. I also like the new design for emptying the bin chamber as it blew less dust into my face. With my previous vacuum I would pop the top off and turn it upside down, usually tapping it against the side of the garbage which did spread a lot of dust around (I always did it in my outside bin rather than inside). With this vacuum the chamber is emptied downwards so dust flows directly downward into the bin without me having to turn it upside down and tap it around. It was a little fiddly to get back on but overall I still think the design is better than my previous.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Best vacuum cleaner I have ever had by far
The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal + is an impressive tool that provides an effective all-around service around the house. Suction is outstanding and it cleaned rugs, floors, and even the heavy-duty pure wool mattress toppers I tried it on to as-new condition. The accessories provided have covered most needs from upholstery and curtains vacuuming, to cleaning crevices and reaching those hard-to-get-to hidden spots.

it’s out and on the floor it moves like a dream and it's 100% better than any vacuum cleaner I have owned before. This is my first Dyson. The instructions provided were not as easy to follow as I would have liked and could be improved. There was no list of the included accessories and their purpose in the one logical place I would have expected to find them: on the instruction brochure that came with it. Later on I saw they were listed in small print on the box, but by then I had discovered what I wanted by searching the web and found the missing information. At first examination the grooming tool left me perplexed as to its use, but once seen in action I thought it was one of the most cleverly designed gadgets I have ever seen. My dog thought he was getting an all-over massage when I tried it on him and the noise didn’t not seem to upset him at all. I had to reduce suction though to keep him relaxed. I found the cord length to be much better than the one I had previously and I don’t need an extension cord any more. The noise level is also quite acceptable and I can vouch for having less pet's hair around the house. All up definitively a thumbs up from me and a happy dog to boot!Similar opinion? Much better than expected - Love it
I have to start this review by stating I have NEVER owned or used a Dyson product. (ever!)
Been quite skeptical about Dyson products and never believed the hype.
But the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball has complete changed my opinion on Dyson products.
The cleaner has lots of pros and a few cons but overall, I definitely rate this product 5 stars.
Please note this review is based upon cleaning of carpet floors only.
We have no cats and one spoodle so we didn't really get the chance to test the cleaners ability to remove pet fur from lounges and rugs.

It's very good!
I have now been using the Dyson Big Ball for about two and a bit weeks - I own and normally use a high-end USA-built vacuum cleaner and was a previous Dyson owner (my mum has a DC20 and I used to have a DC29) so I will be completely honest I was wanting to be very critical - I was actually very impressed!
Firstly, I put together the machine when I got home from overseas, quite late at night - I did it and then checked the directions afterwards, just to make sure i'd done it correctly - very easy and intuitive to put together.

vious Dyson canister owner, take my word for it they have fixed a few things that I didnt like - the cord/plug and winder is much better now, so are the "clicky" bits that connect the various parts and it truly doesn't tip over or difficult to pull around the house. I also think the air-driven brush-bar seems more robust than my old model Dyson. Its also MUCH better to empty it out CLEAN now!. I've used mine on Carpet (wool blend), Tiles and Rugs (wool and sisal) and get a very good result on all of my floor types. Suction and Pick Up results are very good. I like the "vacuum track marks" left in my carpet and it does a great job of that! The pile on the carpet was lifted and looked clean and does a very good job of picking up all the cat hair around the house (its hair shedding season!) The Ball design also facilitates vacuuming yourself out of the room. The other bits and pieces that come with it (like the handheld powerhead thingy) are awesome and does a good job with the car. I'm also very impressed that they include an adapter so that older Dyson attachments (I still have quite a few) can be used with the new connections on wands/handle.Purchased in September 2021.

Amazing results on hardwood floors
My Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal+ arrived just after I had completed vacuuming with my much older Dyson vacuum (5+ years). The vacuum, while not as technically advanced as the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal+, still works and did what I considered an adequate job vacuuming up the pet hair and dust from my polished wood floors. Or so I thought. But more on that later.
The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal+ is well packed and all parts individually wrapped within the product box. The included accessories are impressive consisting of a stair tool to re...Read more
move dust and dirt from corners and edges; a combination tool featuring softer bristles for more delicate surfaces; a tangle-free turbine tool which features counter-rotating brush heads which is perfect for removing pet hair and dirt from carpets or cloth lounges; a muscle head tool which is self adjusting and perfect for getting under low profile furniture; a brushroll head on which bristles rotate at high speed to help extract dirt from carpets; and a groom tool for allows users to groom their medium to long haired dogs more efficiently. The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal+ arrives dissembled but includes an illustrated instruction manual outlining what pieces fit together. I am usually pretty good at intuitively knowing how to fit things together (I love the challenge of an Ikea flatpack) but found the Dyson instructions a little unclear. While there were excellent descriptions about how to empty a full vacuum I found the instructions for putting it together extremely limited. This could be improved with a part numbering system so people can be sure that they are slotting together the right parts. Another aspect of the instruction manual I found disappointing was that none of the included accessories were outlined. They looked impressive and I was sure they would be but I didn't know what they were called or how to use them. I had to seek out information on the Dyson website (and elsewhere) to determine what they were and the correct way to use them. However, once I knew I was extremely impressed with how many accessories come with the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal+ and how Dyson have thought through all of the challenges pet owners often face with traditional vacuum cleaners. As previously mentioned I had already vacuumed my hardwood floors and tiled bathroom areas for the day so I wasn't expecting to experience anything beyond getting a feel for how the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal+ operates, the amount of suction and the level of noise it makes. How wrong I was. I live in an older house with hardwood floors dating back to 1955. One of the major issues I have with my floors is that dust and grit can congregate between the floor boards. Several times a year I have to get down on my hands and knees to manually clean between them. It is not long since I did that and I had assumed my older vacuum was doing the job. I was sorely mistaken. A quick re-vacuum showed how much my older vacuum had been missing (see included photo of Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal+ barrel). I was both blown away impressed and repulsed at the same time. It is clear to me that Dyson technology had advanced considerably in the space of just over 5 years and the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal+ was an incredible piece of equipment.Purchased in September 2021.

Update Dec 2022: Finally, I got to test the animal brush accessory when my daughter adopted a dog. She (the dog) was co-operative and sat quietly so I could take my time.
