Best vacuum we’ve had so far

published

The suction power is great. It’s easy to manoeuvre around furniture and has great reach for under furniture like our beds and cupboards.
The combination of attachments is great as it allows us to use it on our vinyl and carpeted floors as well as the rugs. And the smaller attachments make it great for the car and furniture. Love this vacuum.

Top of the class Vacuum cleaner

published

This is my third Dyson Vacuum cleaner. It comes with many tools to do the excellent vacuum cleaning job. I bought it from Costco with very reasonable price.

I'm happy with the performance and the vacuum suction is very powerful which is quickly to clean for the large area. It's easy to empty the dust bin and no bag required!

It is not too heavy but very easy to move.

Would exchange it if I could

published

I had a dc29 which I loved but the wiring needed some work so I decided to upgrade instead of fix it, decided to go with a dc big ball animal canister this time so I can clean better under the beds, if I could take this vacuum back I would in a heart beat, the carpet attachment is terrible the brisels are so soft it doesn't even fluff the carpet in the least bit it just rubs over top

Big ball animal

Worst vacuum I’ve ever owned! Waste of money broke 3months after having! Sent it back and they told me they “fixed” it. They replaced it with a different barrel part and just peeled my sticker of and put on someone else’s old barrel!! Didn’t even tell me. I hate this vacuum so much . Doesn’t even work well and just falls apart. Do yourself a favor and don’t get one waste of $1000 wish I just upgraded to Hoover at least they have good customer service and would never replace a brand new vacuum with someone’s old vacuum.

Works brilliantly except for one issue

published

Works well with lots of suction. The only downside is that every time I go to unclip the barrel to empty it as soon as you push the button on the side to lift the barrel of the bottom u clips then dumps all the contents back on the floor. The latch clip seems weak and not able to hold it shut properly.

Must for a carpeted House

published

I am very happy with the purchase I made, even though the product is on expensive side. Great suction, and easy to use. Even though the vaccum is heavy but when turned on it can be manuvered effortlessly. I mainly use it for the carpeted floor and it does great job picking up dirt and fur. My carpet use to get dirtly in the living area as my kids use it as their play area. Now I vaccum one a week and carpet remains as good as new. Attach it with hardfloor attachment and it is good for kitchen and bathroom areas. I use Dyson in conjunction with robot vacuum and a handheld.

Love my Dyson

published

I absolutely love my Dyson!! Vacuum your floor with another type of vacuum then go over it with Dyson. See how more gets sucked up. I have cats so lots of fur on everything. It just cleans the cat hair off my carpet and lounge with such ease wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Great but not perfect

published

Great on carpets but struggles a bit on our tiles. No good at vacuuming our rug, it’s too strong and there is no way to turn down the suction. Feels a bit flimsy for the price, the whole unit is plastic but has held up so far.
Happy with the suction and easy to move around the house with a long cord so doesn’t need to be unplugged for every room. Love that there is no bags to buy and replace but emptying the canister can be a bit messy.

Excellent vacuum cleaner

published

Very happy with my Dyson Cinetic Big Ball. I don't know why I didn't get one sooner. For years I struggled with a cheaper vacuum that would constantly clog up with dust and would spend hours pulling it apart to clean it. The Dyson is worth the money, quality made and does the job I need it to do. I love how all the parts just click in together. So easy to clean and empty also. I keep mine stored in the original box and put it together each time.

Power extreme

published

I wish I had bought a decent vac before now instead of wasting time and money on cheaper ones. the small animal powerhead and the hard floor tool are the attachments i've used most with floorboards, a few rugs and several cats in my house. i've bought a dusting attachment too now and i'm actually looking forward to hitting the whole house over the weekend for the first time in forever. the amount of cat hair i got out of the loungeroom rug (after vaccing it with my old one earlier in the week) the first time i ran the thing really put into perspective how worthwhile this appliance will be for our household.

Dyson continues to amaze me..

published

Bought the Cinetic Big Ball as my old Dyson DC22 finally packed in (after 7 years of great service).
Was a bit sceptical initially but so far I've been nothing but surprised at the suction power and love the new motorheads which do not get entangled with all the little pieces of string or threads.
Love the fact that the ball keeps righting itself up no matter which way you drag it across the floor. Cleaning is a breeze and effortless.

My Dyson big ball animal has suddenly started spinning in the wrong direction so it’s just pushing animal hair all over the carpet. How do I get going in the right direction?

Hi there,

Thank you for your query. I am sorry to hear about this, however we are happy to help.

If the turbine head is blowing dust around, there is most likely a blockage within the turbine head itself.

We recommend to remove the brushbar using a ten or twenty cent coin to twist the cap at the end of the cleanerhead that retains the brushbar counterclockwise (as shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpXtMpytFJc). Once done, you will be able to remove both the cap and the brushbar. Please then check the cavity where the brushbar was in the cleanerhead and clear out any debris. You should be able to look through the neck of the head and see straight through. Please then reassemble and retry the turbine.

In the unlikely event you are still experiencing difficulty, please email [email protected] and our Dyson Experts will be happy to further assist.

Best wishes,

Shan
