The most frustrating machine I have ever owned
I would not recommend this machine it needs constant stripping down (using a special screwdriver head not supplied) as it constantly has a warning to clean the filters after only minutes of use. I wash the filter on the top of the handle after every use then have to wait 24 hours for it to dry to be able to use the vacuum again. There is no second battery so when the battery needs recharging you must wait several hours to use it again. I have a very clean house, professional cleaner fortnightly but still the 'clean filter' light comes on.
I have had many vacuum cleaners in my 78 years and used them frequently but would never buy another Dyson

Not worth the money
Had for just 12 months as it was purchased as a present for us. Had the original dyson for over 10 years and loved it.
The V10 just pushes stuff around the floor, doesn’t suck certain objects. The filter message constantly comes up and then the vacuum was getting stuck on, then just cuts out.
I Went to use a couple of days ago and no longer turns on at all. I Cleaned filter & yes its charged, still doesn’t turn on.
I want my old dyson back cords and all. So sad, don’t know what to do now with it, as it was a present I don’t have a receipt for it..
Purchased in December 2021.

No cord means I vacuum more often!
I was tossing up between getting the cheaper V7 and the V10. I am SO glad I chose the latter. The extra time I get from the V10 battery is a huge plus. It means I charge the machine less, and it means I got a bigger dust bin, so I don't need to empty it so regularly. I had read a lot of negative or critical reviews regarding the Dyson brand, so I was skeptical but I'm sold on the brand now. The V10 has plenty of suction power to clean my tiled floors and my carpeted areas of the house. When needed, I can put it into a higher suction mode, but I...Read more
rarely ever need to do that. The Motorhead version comes with three fittings, which is all I need. It's a great vacuum cleaner that I'd recommend to anyone. It is slightly heavier than the V7. So if that is a problem, I'd advise getting the V7. However, the battery life on the V10 is much better. Which is why I chose this model. It's super easy to clean and manoeuvre. The ball head technology makes it a dream to vacuum in between chair legs or around corners. When you release the power trigger, it makes a "Boingggg" noise. This is completely normal and something that Dyson deliberately did when building it (it's like a marketing tactic). Don't worry if you hear it. There's nothing wrong with your V10.Purchased in September 2021 at The Good Guys for $750.00.

tor brakes the rotor to a stop almost instantly and the magnets bounce between the four stator positions. Like a ping pong ball bouncing on a table, they move a smaller distance each time creating a sound which our engineers call the 'boing'.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great vacuum, couldn’t go without it how!
Works great on tiles, carpet and Lino. We have a 5 bed 2 lounge house and the Dyson only uses 1 battery square to complete the whole place, much easier than having to change PowerPoints all the time. We will be getting rid of our old plug in Dyson because this is so much better

Best stick vacuum I have ever used
I have had a number of stick vacuums and this is by far the best I have had. The suction is amazing, charge lasts longer than some others, pipes are easier to put on and off. Excellent filters.

Doesn't filter expelled air well
Bought a V10 Motorhead (AUG '19) to replace the old V6 which has been great but I think I needed something a bit more powerful as its the only vacuum I use. From the very first time I used it it felt like it wasn't filtering the expelled air properly and I'd sneeze and get a running nose when vacuuming..??! After the first use I could see a substantial amount of "fluff" on the detachable filter and thought it was strange because the lady from Good Guys said it only needed washing very 3 months. I think the issue is that the cyclone is not filte...Read more
ring the smallest particles properly and its getting blown back into the room. I've checked that the vacuum is put together correctly etc etc but the filter always gets fluff on it?? Used my old V6 again and it seems to clean the air better, no runny nose!? Conclusion- Suction is great but on max it lasts the same as the V6 and the V6 I feel captures fine particles better.Purchased in August 2021 at The Good Guys Physical store for $799.00.

Under normal circumstances we wouldn't expect you to need to take the machine apart with a screwdriver regularly. It certainly sounds like something is amok if the filter light routinely comes on and ... Read more
