Cyclone V10 Motorhead

My Dyson v10 motorhead recently started to only charge to Two lights coming on. Even though I left
it charging overnight the third light doesn't come om either side. My unit is 18 months old. Any help?

I purchased my dyson v10 abiut 3 weeks ago and it has been working perfectly up until a few days ago. It vacuums fine but when I stop it and lift it off the floor, the dirt falls back onto the floor. Any help would be appreciated

If debris is falling out of the machine, often this indicates a blockage within the airways.

I've been having the same problem as above, my filters have been cleaned to perfection and after running for about 5 minutes, my filter light comes on and stays on. My filters are spotless. What gives?

Cyclone V10 Absolute +

My dyson V10 Absolute is just over 1 year old and now it suddenly gets very hot when I am using it. I feel the heat is coming from the filter area as I can feel it on my hand when holding the maching. Takes only seconds for me to feel it hot. Is there something I can do to resolve the problem or should I be intouch with Dyson to fix?

While your machine may get warm during use (expecially if used on Max/Boost mode), if your machine didn't previously get as warm as it is getting now, we would encourage getting in touch with our Dyson Experts prior to using further.

Dyson upright pet model, fully charged, filter cleaned. You vacuum for about 30 - 45 seconds and the filter light starts flashing. Any ideas?

When my filter needs cleaning, I clean it and leave it to dry the recommenced time. Sometimes when I put it back on and use it, it’s pulsates. I take it off and back on again and sometimes this resolves or leaving it a while longer. I don’t understand why by it does this. I’ve had it just over a year and now when I’ve cleaned the filter after 1 or 2 uses the filter flashes for it to be cleaned again surely this can’t be right?

The filter has two sections. A fabric and hepa sections. The hepa one is the unexposed bottom part that if you were to take the fabric part off it would just look like a cup with white lines running down the inside. If you're have a metal or glass straw, long spoon handle etc, run it along the walls of the hepa filter under water. If the water is black it means your hepa had reached full fine dust capacity and this is likely the problem. Washing it is tricky n takes some time

Unfortunately being in an apartment we could only fix to a wall that is not near a power point and don’t want an extension cord continually attached???

Your Dyson V10 has smart electronics within the machine, battery and charger to ensure the machine won't overcharge. Dyson recommend to leave the machine on charge when not in use, even if you haven't fully used the battery. Off charge, the machine will be in standby, ready for use and will slowly loose charge, however we can't provide a timeframe of how long the machine will remain charged off the charger.

So it doesn’t scratch tiles at all I have just moved house with tiled shiny floors thought it might scratch that’s all. I wished it came with the this model might still look into buying it. Is there a reason you don’t use it and how much roughly did it cost? For the tiled head cheers

Apologies for any disappointment, however the Soft Roller Cleaner Head isn't available as an accessory for machines that didn't come with it originally.

That being said, please be assured the Direct Drive cleaner head included with your V10 Animal is designed to clean across both carpets and hard floors. Just check the base of the cleaner head and the brushbar for anything untoward (any damage, anything stuck etc) prior to moving to hard floors.

My V10 worked for 5 minutes and then stopped working . Filters are clean and all empty. When pulling trigger 3 blue lights are on solid but no power. No other lights are on.

Your Dyson V10 has smart electronics within the machine, battery and charger to ensure the machine won't overcharge. It is recommended you leave the machine on charge when not in use, even if you haven't fully used the battery. This will ensure it is always ready for your next cleaning session. The electronics in the machine will ensure the battery charges to 100%, but not over.

the dust collects in my dyson v10 animal ABOVE the max line before it collects in the main part of the bin. The dust chokes the machine. Should the flange in the dust container not prevent this?

Mine does this, however, I give it a blast on full power and dirt usually settles into place.

When dust enters the bin it is spun out of the airflow. At the bottom of the dust bin is a plastic baffle to catch the dirt/hair/fluff and keep it down. If it wasn’t going to be caught, these would keep spinning and negatively affect the performance of the machine.

The way your dust bin fills depends on a number of factors, primarily the type of dust and dirt, and also the speed in which the particles enter the dust bin. If the majority of your debris is smaller, such as dust particles, sand, grit etc, it is more likely to evenly fill the bin bottom to top (think like a glass held unevenly under the tap).

If more carpet fibres, hairs threads etc are sucked through the machine, the fibres can catch onto each other as they spin through the dust bin. The baffles at the bottom will catch them, and they will tend to bundle together and build up and out from the one spot. This may mean you need to empty your machine as the debris crosses the max fill line.

Well I have the Dyson cordless but can't find the model number any where on it. So I assume it is V10.

Anyway, I did charge the battery on it a month ago and it's been working great since then, until a week ago that it stopped working.

Here is what happens.

The charger charges, the battery seems fine. But When I press start, the 2 blue lights right above the battery blink on and go off when I lift my finger.

But the light around the max button always blinks 3 times with short pause and then it blinks 3 Tim mess again.

But the motor does not turn on.
