Hi, I have a DC37c and am wondering if I can buy a powerhead for this model? I used to have a Dyson upright which had a fantastic rotating brush. I am not overly happy with head the DC37c comes with. Thanks!

Hi Rozzie,
Thanks for reaching out.

We do indeed have a floor tool compatible with your DC37c barrel vacuum which boasts a rotating brush bar. A Turbine head can be purchased online via our website for the price of $129.00AUD. There is no charge for shipping within Australia and the part would arrive within 5-7 business days via Australia post.
Here is the link: http://shop.dyson.com.au/spare-parts/turbine-head-906565-32

If we can be of any further assistance with your order please don't hesitate to call us on 1800 239 766. Our helpline is open Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm and Saturday - Sunday 8:30am - 4pm.

Just wondering what the difference is between the DC37C and the DC37 Origin please?

Hi Dee,

Thank you for your question. In Australia we have the DC37C Multi-Floor and the DC37C Origin. The DC37C Multi-floor will come with a Musclehead tool which adjusts automatically between carpets and hard floors. The DC37C Origin will come with a Dual Mode Floor tool which you will need to change between carpets and hard floors.

Best wishes,

Hi was was wondering if you can somehow clean the dust from the inside of the barrel where you empty it? The filter doesn't seem to get dusty at all. I have cleaned the filter as suggested but I am now finding that they dyson doesn't seem to have as much suction anymore. It is only a few months old.

Having a Labrador for the last 12 months I must vacuum every 3 or 4 days.
I've had my Dyson DC23 Turbine for a little over 5 years and it HAS lost some suction, despite company claims, so I am looking for a replacement
Reading heaps of negative reviews on the DC54 I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, and I am considering a DC37c and want to know if the turbo head and tools of my DC23 (which look superior) will fit the DC37c?

I have not owned a turbo head before so I can't answer your question. I am sure if you give Dyson a call and ask, they will be happy to assist you.

Cyclone assembly clogs after heavy use. No tools to remove star shaped screws? Cleaning outer shroud n purple filter doesn't help. bought in Dec 2014.

Hi there,

Thank you for your question. You should not need to remove any star shaped screws from the machine. The best way to clean this is to first seperate the clear plastic bin from the cyclone. Then gently brush around the outer shroud. If you then hold the cyclone over a bin and give it a good tap out this should dislodge any dust still left in the cyclone. If you are still having problems with this cyclone please call us on 1800 239 766.

I have the dyson 37c origin and use it on my wooden floors. Iv tried both settings on the attachment by pushing up and down but I feel like it pushes the dirt away. Is there another attachment for this vacuum?

Hi Vickydatious,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We have a different tool that you can use on your wooden floors called the hard floor tool. If you would like to have a look at this tool and decide if it is right for you please go to http://shop.dyson.com.au/spare-parts/articulating-hard-floor-tool-920019-01.

This is my first dyson, so I'm not sure. But the pole is able to clip into the ball making it easy to carry up and down the stairs in our house, if that is any help.

I have only got experience with the dc37. Perhaps Dyson's website has some dimensions? I don't find it overly cumbersome or heavy.

Dyson
DysonDyson

Hi Bob,

The DC37C is a full size Dyson machine, whereas the DC38 is a smaller machine for smaller homes. The weight of the DC37C in use is 7.3kg as opposed to the DC38 which is 6.28kg.

Hope this helps.

I purchased a Dyson DC 37c which I am very happy with but just concerned the filter is not getting dirty in any way. I don't know if it is connected right or with this machine you don't have to clean the filter?

Hi Kym,

Your DC37C uses Radial Cyclone Technology to capture the majority of dust and dirt in the bin, so it is completely normal for the filter not to be caked with dust.

We do recommend to wash the filter regularly or as required to keep the machine working well. We'd suggest a good rule is every 1-3 months, depending on how often you use the machine.

Hope this helps!

Best wishes,

Don't do it to yourself, I finally convinces dyson to take back my 37 and got the dc54 animal pro and finally my carpets look clean!

Do yourself a favour and do not buy this unit DC37C it is a waste of money. I ended up buying a Work Hero for $99.00 on sale at Godfreys online. It beats Dyson hands down as far as I am concerned.
