Dyson V11 Torque Drive

We had a V6 animal for 4 years and it was time for an upgrade so we bought V11 and we love it. Works perfect and suction is good. It adopts with different surfaces automatically and the suction changes accordingly.

But over $1000 and cant do tiles poor engineering . Unfortinly this is where the unit fails. Tile flooring is this machines enemy. We have a long hair cat and does a out standing job getting cat hair on carpets but fails on tiles.
Oval all its a good unit, provided your on carpet.

Im totally in love with this product. I recently bought it to replace my V8 and can say its so much better than the original.

Worked ok in store but lousy at home with pet hair on our vinyl flooring. Forward sweep misses 30% of debris and backward sweep piles the missed debris in a heap behind head! So you think ill just lift the head over the debris heap to suck it up but..the spinning head then contacts the debris and flings it over the floor behind the cleaner!
It works better on carpet due to the uneven surface texture.
Very disappointed, my home is mostly vinyl floors and my dogs are moulting like no tomorrow and im stuck with $1100 of vac cleaner that only works 70% effective one direction .

Dyson is always a reliable brand, and I just love this model. So good for cleaning the house every day. Gets up every particle and leaves my whole home spotless. Highly recommend this .

This may just be my experience but the Torque Drive generally fairs really well on carpets and anything that gives a bit of friction but on hard surfaces such as tiles of wood it seems to knock the dirt away from the suction. Otherwise happy with my purchase.

At times on my glossy tile floors it leaves a line of dirt which has been sucked to the back of the head and not even using turbo removes it.

We owned the upright Dyson and a handheld before this purchase. I decided to get a cordless for convenience as I need to vacuum daily. Thought the performance would be as good as the handheld, but it is not. It does not pick up the dirt well, at all, on carpet or rugs. I can literally see the dirt and it will not pick up even after having it on turbo and repeatedly going over the area. Having it on turbo also means a significantly reduced battery life. On tiles and linoleum it is fine. I would not buy one again even though it is really convenient. The style is good, performance is inadequate.

Just purchased a V11 today. Gave it a test on a large Persian rug that had only been vacuumed a couple of days ago with a plug in vac. The amount of fine sand and grit that the Dyson pulled out of it was astounding. And that was not on full power.

Only issue is the machine is fairly heavy and I will probably end up with sole vacuuming responsibilities. But it is so easy to use I am happy to do so.

Battery lasts to clean the entire house.
Light weight and easy to use.
Love the colour.
Would love it to be able to hold a bit more dirt though.

After 2 months of using the new V11 it broke down, Harvey Norman where we bought it from would not take it back and told us to contact Dyson directly. It’s the only Vacuum cleaner we have I depend on it massively as I live in a new area and due to heaps of construction around us there is heaps of dust. We have sent it to Dyson but we had to call so many times to chase it up, was told an exchange is sent, but a week later nothing has arrived . Called them again apparently an exchange was never sent, was told they will get on to it and send it off . It’s now almost 3 weeks since our V11 broke down and still no vacuum. Disappointed with Dyson products and customer service, not worth the price tag!

I recently installed a Dyson V11 vacuum cleaner in my doctors surgery. It was very easy to install and worked perfectly straight out of the box. It is used on vinyl tiles and carpet. I have used it many times to clean up after doing maintenance jobs. I would recommend this to anyone. It is so easy and quick to use.

Rolls over all surfaces exceptionally well esp wooden floors to carpets or rugs - holds charge well and is a joy to use.
The long nossle helps get in this tight/cramped spaces

I have used this on carpet and flooring ad well and believe me it just works perfect. I have thrown away my old and other brand vaccum cleaners. Highly recommend Dyson.

I use the Dyson V11 Torque on a daily basis; whether it’s cleaning up after breakfast or running around tidying before guests arrive. I love that it is so easy to quickly grab and clean any floor surface! The suction power is fantastic, I don’t have to go over the carpet more than once to get the cat hair out or pick up that half chewed cheerio out of the rug.

Bought our 3rd Dyson stick vac from Myer eBay store. We use it daily on 20 squares of hardwood floors, tiled bathrooms, and carpet. It's brilliant and easy to use.
