Frustrating
I used to love this but lately it just keeps pulsing and it is driving me crazy, I bought a new filter and that didn’t help at all and any time I use it I have to keep stopping and clearing out the bin and the head every 60 seconds to make it go another 60 seconds, it’s super annoying
Purchased at Harvey Norman.

Great secondary vac, but not powerful enough to use as primary vacuum
We bought this vacuum to pull out for all the the crumbs and dirt our kids manage to track through the house, so that we wouldn't need to constantly pull our bigger vacuum cleaner out the cupboard. It worked very well for that on all floor types, especially on power mode, and we used it most of the time. Sadly I left it on top of the washing machine, and it fell off and broke, but up until that moment it was fantastic! Suction was good for its size, although the plastic quality wasn't great (something I've noticed with Dysons generally). Powerhead was great.

I love mine and use it every day.
my flooring is wood and carpet.
Dyson 6 motorhead is has really good power and also sucks up pet hair, light and easy to use.
The battery lasts a good length of time, I can do my whole house which is about 24 squares
I am buying another one for my beach house.

Awesome product
I love this vacuum cleaner. Never before has vacuuming been so easy and enjoyable. I used to hate having to mess with chords and carry the old heavy thing. This one has great suction power and good battery life and super light and easy to use. Would definitely recommend and definitely worth the price

Sweet vacuum
Its got great suction and is super maneuverable and ergonomic. Only fault is that the battery life is about 20 minutes, so you can't fluff about while you're doing the housework. Great for doing the car or a small apartment, maybe just 2 rooms at a time. If more than that, you'll want more batteries or one of the higher models with a bigger battery pack.

Fantastic
Suction is fantastic. Such a handy tool to have around the house. It's light and a breeze to use over the carpet, slate, tiles, etc. I would recommend to anyone. My son even uses it, which is amazing ! Only wish I could do my whole house with the light little machine. Easy to clean also!

This is heat. I need it all the time.
This is great products for me to use in my house, especially stairs, careless, easy and convent, however the battery only last for 15 mins which is too short. it is quite machine and I can vacuum the car with any parts. But I do not like to clean the dirt because the dust spread everywhere whenever I opened it

Very impressed
Love this vacuum cleaner. It is very handy. I use it more than my regular upright vacuum cleaner. Quick, easy and efficient. Highly recommend it. Love the power head and the attachments are very useful. I use it every day in the kitchen and dining room for quick cleans. The extra power boost is very handy too.

Best vacuum cleaner
I bought the Dyson V6 together with a mattress tool. The V6 is the best vacuum I have ever had, strong sucking, light weight, fast charging. The motorized head makes it do cleaning better than other vacuum cleaners. The mattress head is very useful for cleaning bed, sofa and other furniture. Highly recommended.

Can't remember using a corded vac, life changing
using a corded vac is a distant memory after using my Dyson V6.
You can whizz around and do a while room with ease, no tripping over cables, no tangling on kitchen chairs.
I've wall mounted the charger which makes docking and undocking easy.
The battery life is plenty to do a few rooms, or our master bedroom, living, dining and kitchen. I no longer sweep as just use the V6 everywhere (even on hard floors). Looking into upgrading to one with a soft roller head as love this one sooo much.

A effective cleaner
I am a big fan of dyson, and V6 is the first vacuum cleaner I bought from dyson. It is wireless and light, vary easy to maneuver .It has a very strong suction which can clean very well. However, one of the drawback is the battery is not big enough. I only can clean about 70 square metre a time. So if you have a big house, dyson V8 will be a better choice.

Cool and handy
Dyson bagless cleaners are highly reliable but there are clear advantages and disadvantages to both types. The main benefit of a bagless vacuum cleaner is no loss of suction, or at least a smaller reduction, as your cleaner fills up. Performance varies from brand to brand, depending on the quality of their systems, but that’s the key selling point.
The problem with bagless vacuum cleaners is that they can send dust back into your room when emptied unless you’re very careful. That’s where bagged vacuum cleaners are best, particularly the self-sealing kind used by the likes of Miele. A bagged vacuum cleaner is a better option if you’re an allergy suffers

Go to vaccine for me
I found normal style vacuumed a real pain to use until I found this Dyson. I have no hesitation on vacuuming it concordant, light has fantastic suction and accessories work well. It stores away in minimal space and has excited system to hold the unit and accessories for charging. I'd reccomend it for smaller units etc.

V6 motorhead
Excellent machine. Well made. Compact and manoeuvreable. Handy extra tools that you may actually use. No need to run on full power as eco works just fine on tiles and you get 20 min run time. kids love to use it. Only negative is small capacity and it requires a good clean out occasionally with a compressor.

So easy
What a great vacuum!!!! So easy to use and to empty. Even my 2 year old son loves It! I have a fairly big house (5 bed) and normally the battery can cover the whole house but it will Only vacuum half the house if it is in max mode.
I can't wait to upgrade, but for now, I am so in love and recommend the Dyson hand held vacuum cleaners to everyone :)

Simply Awesome!
I reluctantly bought this dyson motorhead from Harvey normal early 2017 not expecting to much more then just another vacuum. I was well surprised to find out how well it works. Just take it out of the cupboard and walk around vacuuming everything and anything up. Although one negative is the short battery life.

Changed my life!
I have a lot of expensive stuff in my house. I mean Lots. And I say if I have to run with one item, it would be my Dyson. I have a shark navigator too, while it’s a great vacuum, it’s too heavy for my weak back. So I found myself using it less and less which meant my house wasn’t clean all the time so I haven’t happy until I got this. Cleans like a full sized vacuum. Love it

Best buy vacuum
Excellent vacuum cleaner, great suction, light and very manageable and effective on carpet and hard floors. We bought it to supplement our big (expensive and heavy) Dyson (which btw we are also very happy with). It is so convenient and effective that we now rarely use the biggie - this cordless portable is our main vacuum cleaner now! The battery last plenty long enough to do a few rooms but can run out trying to do the whole house. As the battery runs out, the motor keeps going strongly right up to the end, then just stops. Much better than getting slower and slower before stuttering to a stop. Go for it

I love it
I use it everyday. I have an inside German shepherd and this little machine makes life so much easier. I love the ease of use the charge station, suction is excellent, I can vacuum without bending too much, love the flexible motor head.
One negative is emptying the bin, a real pain. I use a skewer type stick to clean the get the bin clean. I vacuum tiles and carpet with ease. For someone who vacuums daily I love the ease of access and the fact that it picks up the dog hair off the carpet and gets into all the books and crannies.

Hi Debs,
Thanks for your review.... Read more
Once the bin has been opened, gently tap the cyclone where the filter is located with your hand a few times as this will help dislodge any excess dust. We recommend emptying the bin as soon as the debris reached the max line on the side of the bin to avoid the debris getting stuck between the cyclone shroud and bin walls. The bin also can be completely removed for easier access as shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWG-AgswpQo If this does not resolve the issue please reach out at [email protected] and we will be happy to help you further. Love my V6 Motorhead
Have had this vacuum for about a year now. We bought it with the intention of getting a larger normal house vacuum. So far I haven't bothered I find this is enough. Its light and has great suction and just don't have a need for a heavier bulkier vacuum. If I had to pick on one thing its that the barrel is only small so you do need to empty it every time you vacuum, but then if it was bigger the vacuum would be heavier and bulkier so its a small tradeoff. The battery lasts nearly our entire house which is a 5 bedroom lowset house. Depending on how thorough I vacuum it sometimes runs out of battery just before I finish the last two rooms. But I love it and would highly recommend.

My Dyson V6 Motorhead cordless vacuum- the motorhead has stopped spinning and there's hardly any suction. I've cleaned it fully and nothing is stuck. The vacuum works with different attachments. Just the motorhead doesn't work at all. Any ideas?

Have you completely pulled the brush spin part out?
Yes.
Sometimes hair around the brush at the ends stops it spinning. But the product is cheap. I’m buying a new brush end off eBay as mine stopped working after a year or two

My wife and I love the Dyson we currently have however, it has been blowing dust out of the back of it after the canister as been emptied. It also has been doing this once the canister is re-attached. Could this be a problem with the filter needing cleaned/ replaced?
2 answers
So the air filter just pulls out at the top of the motor, recommend cleaning once/twice a week if using everyday
Dyson Team ..Dyson
We certainly wouldn't expect any Dyson machine to blow dust out of itself.
We would kindly ask you to get in touch directly with our Dyson Experts via [email protected] and we will be happy to help get this sorted.

do i have too screw the docking station onto a wall or can i just leave it propped up against the wall?
1 answer
Dyson Team ..Dyson
It's best not to leave the machine sitting propped against a wall while charging in case it gets knocked over and damaged. We'd suggest to charge the machine with the power cord while it's sitting on a flat surface, or install the charger into the docking station and install the docking station on a wall.
