Look no further, this is the dryer you want with reverse tumble
So I waited a bit over two months before writing this review even though I wanted to do this on day one, I just wanted to make sure there were no quirks. For context I have used a clothes dryer to dry everything that I wash for years so it's very important to me my dryer does a good job and it's as economical as possible.
I need a reverse tumble action, particularly for bedding, so the Electrolux range of dryers caught my eye being one of the few makers that have a reverse tumble action. This feature actually make the machines slightly less ef...Read more
ficient and that's why most makers avoid including it- at the expense of your wet twisted sheets and duvet covers. The Electrolux EDH903BEWA clothes dryer did not disappoint and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this machine to everyone. I live in a hot climate so I no longer need to be worried when I get home that what I put in is going to be twisted, smell terrible and need to be rewashed, dried, untwisted and dried again. This machine has a reverse tumble action which keeps things from tangling to ensure everything you put in will be dry at the end of the cycle. I have used the added basket to dry wet shoes, used the bedding cycle for additional reverse tumble action, and a few of the standard cycles- all with great success. The sensors must work well because my stuff comes out perfect and not over or under dry. It has an added drain kit which is also handy so you don't have to worry about condensation or emptying a water reservoir, if you use it. The double air filter is excellent at collecting all the lint and the condenser/evaporator is really easy to access which is essential for cleaning- this is far better than sealed 'self cleaning' systems which are in other dryers, like from Bosch, as they're difficult to maintain long term. Just a couple of tips- make sure you set your water hardness like the instructions say and your dryer needs to be at least about half full with bedding for a load, if it's too empty the items tend to fall onto themselves and twist. If it's more full the items tend to tumble over one and other rather than into itself. I have had a twisted fitted sheet once in over two months and that's when I figured out it was probably related to being under-loaded.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
