Could easily live without it!

published

Makes a lot of noise. Very little dirt cleaning capacity. Will only pick up from bare floors relatively well. On carpet it gets a bit more.
However, there are a half dozen devices on the market that are way, way better than this lightweight morsel of technology. Thank goodness I negotiated the price down to $55!
Wait. Save your money. Buy a Dyson or LG and you'll go, "Oh, yeah. I get it.
Buy cheap. Get "cheap"!!!

Buy this if you are dumb enough!

Purchased in March 2021 for $55.00.

Beware

published

The Battery life is about 2yrs and is not covered by the Manufacturers Warranty, also if you buy from Good Guys, is not covered by their Concierge extended warranty. The battery is contained in the detachable hand held unit and you have to buy that complete unit which costs $154. You can buy a complete new machine for about $149. Won't be buying a vacuum similar to this again.

Talk about making life easier!

published

Bought this cordless upright stick cleaner because I was so sick of dragging around a heavy traditional vacuum cleaner that kept bumping into things and the cords never being long enough. I am so happy I made the switch. Could never be without one now. Makes life so much easier. Keep it on charge all the time. I have a large house with mainly tiles and usually get the whole house done with the 20 minute or so battery life of it. It's easy to empty out, is incredibly light, and even had a small hand held cleaner built into it. Fantastic. Very handy.

Motor Blew

published

Hi bought my Electrolux ZB3012 Stick Vacuum Cleaner in August 2016. I use it every day to quickly vacuum my Ensuite and Kitchen. Now only 16 months later the motor has blown. Not happy. The Repair man said it not worth fixing and getting a new motor for it. NOT HAPPY

3rd Electrolux ergorapido I have owner, but definitely the worst

published

Received this as a gift at the start of this year and already not working. Can only use the hand held section.the floor system doesn’t turn on and head doesn’t spin. As it was a gift don’t have a receipt to send back to Electrolux for replacement. Have recommended the Electrolux stick vac to lots of people over the years, but this model has been a total dud. Not sure that I will recommend after the trouble with this one, maybe not what they use to be, very disappointed indeed

Not even 2 years and lasts less than 2 minutes

published

Initially I loved it but even though I have looked after it very well and it still looks brand new, it only works for less than 2 minutes if it is fully charged overnight. It’s just under 2 years old.
The buttons are also very temperamental. Luckily there are 2 buttons.
I am so disappointed. I won’t be getting another Electrolux product.

Works well on carpet and floor

published

Small house carpets and tiles. Hallway, kitchen, lounge, bedroom bathroom dust insects

Emties out well, has spring loaded dirt ejector, I blow it out with ozito blower, and shake outside. The switch on the remote lower part failed, so I turn it on with the upper handle switch then detach the portable part. The carpet sweeper head comes apart OK and can be cleaned with tweezers and small probes and fingers...

It's not strong enough

published

I find out it's not as strong as Dyson. But it's easy to use. It vacuumed the floor and carpet. If you want something stronger maybe go for Dyson I don't really recommend for big family. Small family it's ok. Um it can vacuum the car as well. It s easy to clean the bag

So easy to use

published

We bought our electrolux ergorapido sick vacuum for half price at a Harvey Norman end of year sale 18 months ago and couldn't be happier. I thought it was a bit extravagant initially as we already had a vacuum, but it's so handy and so quick and easy to use. Perfect for a quick spot clean before visitors arrive. We use it all the time and is one of the best appliances we ever bought.

I can now say that Electrolux has addressed my complaint and I am pleased with the result. Electrolux told me that the newer model/s has been redesigned to eliminate this problem.

Terrible investment

published

I bought mine in January 2015 & by December 2015 it had an electrical fault, so it was replaced under warranty in January 2016.
By January 2017 I noticed the battery life was getting shorter & shorter until now when it will scarcely last 5 minutes, straight off the charger.
As the replacements are almost $100, I don't feel inclined to throw good money after bad.

Great vacuum, but short life.

published

I have had my vacuum cleaner for two years, and been very happy with it, and you don't expect rechargeable batteries to last much longer.
However for the original price, battery replacement is ridiculous, almost half the price.
Because of this I would not purchase another Electrolux. It's more to buy an electric one, my last vacuum a Vac Pak lasted 18 years Commercially and is still going.

Easy to use

published

I have tiles floor all over in my house. The new 2 in 1 vacuum does a very good job in cleaning my 2 bedroom unit easily. It's handy and last for 20 mins when fully charged. I am very happy to have this vacuum anytime when there are some dirt.

14 months later, runs for about 5 mins and then dies

published

I absolutely loved this vacuum but the lifespan is poor. This is the second one I have had and my previous one had the same lifespan ( I was hoping that one was a faulty one). I'm devastated as when it worked, it was great. It is just a lot of money to form out for only 14 months of usage. I have tried phoning Electrolux as it is still under warranty but I'm on hold for so long that I just give up.

Not made to last..more throw away junk

published

Initially was fairly pleased with this machines performance. Have a very small area of mixed surfaces (25 m2 short pile carpet 15 m2 vinyl. 5-8 minutes worth daily. New, it ran for 20 mins+ but now unable to complete.
Expected better from Electrolux and now I see this model has been discontinued and others are having difficulty getting parts.
My opinion is these machines should last 5 years when one forks out good money.
This the 2nd Electrolux machine in 3 years and this one will be the last.

We had the same issue, and it was diagnosed as battery failure in the repair centre.

Ergorapido ZB3012 (Watermelon Red, 3rd Gen)

Hi, this product has stopped working. When I first purchased it, I had to take it to a service centre who replaced the whole unit it with a new one. That was about a year ago and now the unit has stopped working. I am very careful to clean the brush, empty and clean filters, etc.
When turning on the unit it immediately stops with the red light showing.
Can you please give me some advice?
I purchased the the machine on 11 March 2014 from Myer, Brookvale.
Thank you,

That's happened to me if I accidentally suck up clothing or something. It switches off. And I just pull out what ever it was and it's perfectly fine again. Have you checked you haven't sucked up any ribbon or something by accident?
