Oven caught on Fire
Oven was only 12months old, purchased Dec 2018. 4 hours after the first pyro clean the element caught on fire (oven was not on). Despite having a report from the fire brigade, my own photos and confirmation from their own technician, Electrolux customer service was still trying to tell me it is normal for the element to glow red! Im now left without being able to cook at all for a family 8 days out from Christmas. Electrolux have been an absolute nightmare to deal with, the incident has been down played by Electrolux. I was offered for the oven...Read more
to be fixed, I asked for a replacement as I wasnt happy to have the oven repaired as it was a major fault (as a consumer Im well with in my right to request this). Ive since found this has happened to others. How many will it take until this model is recalled? I was lucky to be home as the cleaning function had well and truly finished hours before!Purchased in December 2021 at Harvey Norman.

Constantly leaks steam into the other electrolux oven below it
We purchased the EVEP615SA steam oven as well as the standard oven and they were installed at the end of 2014. We rarely used the steam feature and the first time we did we received an error on the other oven below it, F239 which is moisture in the control panel and it shuts the oven down. Not great as we were hosting a large party. Rang electrolux and told them of the problem and as the oven reset itself after a few days they did not come out. We then used the oven 6 months later on steam and the same problem, as the oven was now out of warran...Read more
ty they would not do anything. Listed with VCAT and all of a sudden they are communicative and came out and replaced the panel on the other oven. Another 6 months passed before we used the steam function again, same problem, they now have replaced the panel 3 times, taken the steam oven for testing, which left an open cavity for nearly 4 weeks, brought it back and said the door hinge loose and everything is fine. Throw in a pork roast on steam, within 2 hours the other oven has shut off and will need a new panel and I am left with 1 working oven. Electrolux have offered to take both ovens away and test them, not an option as I cannot do without an oven or replace them (the newer models are $1360 cheaper) and I have to pay an additional $220.00. I would like a refund to buy more reliable appliances, and am tired of constantly having to stay at home for all these service calls (6 in 9 weeks). The oven is not fit for purpose and I have found Electrolux very hard to deal with, so it will be VCATPurchased in April 2021 at The Good Guys Physical store for A$3,180.00.

Built on a Friday afternoon?
This looked like the ideal oven for us - well specified, great user interface and a good size internally. However, once we got it home and installed, it became clear we'd bought a lemon. First of all, water leaked from the steam tank drain outlet all over our kitchen floor (same problem as another reviewer had). Then we noticed that one of the door hinge catches wouldn't lock properly, so the door kept sliding off its hinge on that side. Things didn't improve when we actually tried to cook with it. The temperature seemed to be well below what i...Read more
t should be - bread took far longer (at a higher temperature setting) to brown, and pizza bases refused to cook properly. It even struggled to roast a chicken, taking longer than it should have and still barely cooked in the middle. After 3 days we returned it for a refund. Three separate and serious faults straight out of the box is completely unacceptable, and based on that experience we will not be going anywhere near an Electrolux oven again.Purchased in April 2021.

The best affordable steam oven for bread baking.
We bought this Electrolux oven especially for bread baking as it has a steam function. I'm very impressed with the quality of the build considering how much more expensive other steam ovens are. It has many advanced features that other ovens have that are over $1000 dearer, and has a larger internal capacity than others with the same external dimensions.

Enjoying it, have been using it regularly!
I started using it recently after we moved into our new home and have been enjoying it since.
I especially like its steaming function which cooks fast and efficiently. Also tried its roasting functions on meats and vegetables. So far so good. In conclusion, I am quite happy with this oven.

Great Oven - Roasted Pork Became a Piece of Art !!!
We installed this beauty last Saturday. The RRP is around $3849 but its on specials at aroubd $1865. BIG SAVINGS !!!
We're very happy with the oven.
We roast rolled pork a lot and its always a struggle for me to get the meat cooked upto my standards with the right skin crackle. Oftentimes the skin got burnt and sometimes I need to microwave the roast further to come to my desired cook.
Today, I roasted a 3.6kg rolled pork. I wasnt expecting much. But the unit worked wonders. Its temperature probe does the trick to ensure the meat ...Read more
is cooked upto the desired internal core temp. And roasting combined with steam ensured even crisp of the whole roast 360 degrees consistent crisp crackle !!! My roast became a piece of art. Good when operating, bad design
We liked the oven until the 1st pyrolytic clean as it failed to turn off the fast heat up element and had to be turned off at the wall, the service guy was ok but the fix process took 6 WEEKS for the parts to come through for what was essentially a new oven then the oven leaked from the water outlet valve after this happening we decided that this steam combo was not a design winner and would cause further problems. Electrolux agreed to a refund, the process in getting the money back was tortuous and seemed to involve people from 2 departments with little communication between Australian dept and a foreign one handling the refund. Our opinion avoid electrolux products if something goes wrong your in for some grief.

Questions & Answers

We just had a new kitchen installed with all new appliances. Our new Electrolux Steam Oven Model EVE618DSD on first use using the steam function poured out water all over the cabinetry & floor. The oven kept leaking water even after draining it. The water has seeped underneath the oven & the brand new cabinetry. Is this a known issue?

The water tank won't fill and there's a dripping noise when I put water in it. No water appears in the oven, so it's not leaking into there... Surely there's no way for it to be pouring out underneath. I've just had the kitchen installed and I will be furious if there's water damage. Any advice?

I've had no issues in that department, and definitely sounds like a question for Electrolux directy.
Yeah I'm thinking so, I'm just interested to know if it's even possible. Surely it's a contained system...
