The best affordable steam oven for bread baking.

published

We bought this Electrolux oven especially for bread baking as it has a steam function. I'm very impressed with the quality of the build considering how much more expensive other steam ovens are. It has many advanced features that other ovens have that are over $1000 dearer, and has a larger internal capacity than others with the same external dimensions.

Enjoying it, have been using it regularly!

published

I started using it recently after we moved into our new home and have been enjoying it since.

I especially like its steaming function which cooks fast and efficiently. Also tried its roasting functions on meats and vegetables. So far so good. In conclusion, I am quite happy with this oven.

Good when operating, bad design

published

We liked the oven until the 1st pyrolytic clean as it failed to turn off the fast heat up element and had to be turned off at the wall, the service guy was ok but the fix process took 6 WEEKS for the parts to come through for what was essentially a new oven then the oven leaked from the water outlet valve after this happening we decided that this steam combo was not a design winner and would cause further problems. Electrolux agreed to a refund, the process in getting the money back was tortuous and seemed to involve people from 2 departments with little communication between Australian dept and a foreign one handling the refund. Our opinion avoid electrolux products if something goes wrong your in for some grief.

We just had a new kitchen installed with all new appliances. Our new Electrolux Steam Oven Model EVE618DSD on first use using the steam function poured out water all over the cabinetry & floor. The oven kept leaking water even after draining it. The water has seeped underneath the oven & the brand new cabinetry. Is this a known issue?

Exact same thing happened to me. Return it for a refund and buy something else.

The water tank won't fill and there's a dripping noise when I put water in it. No water appears in the oven, so it's not leaking into there... Surely there's no way for it to be pouring out underneath. I've just had the kitchen installed and I will be furious if there's water damage. Any advice?

I've had no issues in that department, and definitely sounds like a question for Electrolux directy.

Yeah I'm thinking so, I'm just interested to know if it's even possible. Surely it's a contained system...
