Beats my DYSONs without a doubt
I LOVE this vacuum. I bought it last year at a silent auction and WOW. I've owned Dysons since 2002 and have always had problems with them: too loud, wires break, won't run after one year, and the hand-held battery charged ones keep breaking down, uprights don't last long or motors burn out after less than one year. This electrolux beats the Dysons hands down. Not joking. When I turned it on for the first time I was blown away by the suction. I did a test: I vacuumed with my Dyson after changing the filters and the dust canister had a bit of fl...Read more
uff in it, but when I vacuumed with the Electrolux the dust canister filled to half way within 2 minutes. Dyson vacuums are not worth the money and I've had a few. Trust me. The Electrolux is quieter too. Just remember to wash the filter regularly and you're all good. I have a new favourite :)Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great suction, light and easy to use
My husband bought this as a second vacuum as we have a large home with lots of floor space. I was sceptical at first as I hate bagless vacuums and I have a miele which has never let me down. Well this one is great as well. Great suction, easy to manoeuvre and easy to empty.
UPDATED: I did have the aeropro head break on me it wouldn't switch from hard floor to carpet. so I rang the hotline and they shipped out a new one overnight shipping.
I still like my miele for getting close to the edges and if I accidently sucked up a tissue with that one it would still go strong whereas the cyclone in the electrolux makes anything like that get stuck on the cone at the top.

Best Hoover I've ever had
I've never bought this brand of vacuum cleaner before so it's a completely new experience! My Dyson recently died and I did a search here to help me decide on the best after Dyson as the budget didn't stretch that far.
This is a powerful machine, great suction even on the lower power. Good for both carpet and hard flooring. Great for picking up all dog hair. I couldn't believe the hair and dust that came off the carpets! The lead is extra long which is great as there aren't a lot of power points in the house so I was able to do most of the h...Read more
ouse without having to unplug. This vacuum cleaner definitely gives Dyson a run for their money - it's a lot more reasonably priced and it does the same job. The machine is light and the handle is great, it's exactly like the Dyson handle which is easily lengthened and shortened depending on how you like it. I would have no hesitation in recommending this vacuum cleaner.

just a regular vaccuum cleaner
This vacuum cleaner was provided by Electrolux as a replacement when they were unable to fix my faulty (now discontinued) Electrolux Ultraperformer ZUP3862P when it broke down under warranty. I just received it today so this review is my first impression. First, it seems a bit light and flimsy (more so than the old one anyway). Second, be aware the so called 'turbo head' is not motorised - the brush in this floor tool just spins around with the airflow. As this cleaner was supposedly the equivalent new model replacing my old one, which did have...Read more
a motorised head, I had thought the 'turbo head' would be motorised. The suction is excellent - but you will get a workout pushing it over carpets unless you turn down the suction - which somewhat defeats the purpose! If this model is the new equivalent of my old one, then the level of features Electrolux is including in their cleaners has declined. It comes with lots of attachments but they are all basic and similar to each other. Still, hopefully this one will work for more than the 18 months I got out of the old one (see my review of the Electrolux Ultraperformer ZUP3862P if you want to know more about my experience dealing with Electrolux for warranty repairs).Similar opinion? Amazing
We were trying to decide between this and the Dyson. This is so much lighter and easier to pull along, it's quiet, the cord is longer, and it's cheaper than the Dyson. It has great suction, easy to use the different attachments and easy to empty and clean. It's amazing how much dirt it sucks up. We have 2 dogs and the power head on carpets is awesome. I didn't realise how clean our floors could be until we got this vacuum cleaner. Even the sales person at Harvey Norman recommended the Electrolux over the Dyson.

I am impressed!
Pros. I am very happy with the performance of this machine. The suction is fantastic. Even the hard floor tool gets in close to the corners. Comfortable handle. Easy to empty. Quality parts. Picked up so much dust in the first clean which proved that my previous vacuum cleaner was useless.
Cons: as it is an animal allergy model it should come with the pet upholstery nozzle.
Overall best vacuum I've ever used!

Wasn't I surprised
I wheeled my boat trailer over the wife's Miele and squashed the end of the nozzle extension tube that fits onto the hose so bought a new Electrolux to keep on her good side. I went over 4 carpeted bedroom floors to try it out and holy crap. I couldn't believe just how much dust and fluff the Electrolux pulled out. I wasn't expecting such good performance and wondered what was going on for a while when revs died down only to have a quick look at the dust collector and finding it chocker block full. From a blokes point of view the Electrolux is a top little machine alright.

Great Vacuum with Minor Issues
Picked this Vacuum based on other reviews. Purchased at Harvey Norman for $485. Replacing a Miele that was ok until warranty ran out and then numerous problems with outrageous cost of part replacement.
Use to vacuum timber floors, rugs and a few carpeted rooms.
Pros:
Great Suction and Excellent pick up which is 90% of what you want from a vacuum
Easy to Clean Filters, and Empty the dust canister.
Flex pro nozzle is great for reaching under beds and low furniture. No more shifting furniture.
Excellent telescopic tube height adjustability, Long Power cord
Cons: ...Read more
Always starts on Max Power settings. It would be better if it started on last setting. Annoying when changing from power point to power point and you want to keep same setting. Where the hose handle or telescopic tube attaches to the accessories, it does not form an internal flush joint. The result is that when you remove the accessory, dust that collects on the lip of the hose handle or telescopic tube falls on the floor. Keeping the vacuum running when changing accessories avoids this. Very Long Hair gets trapped around the cyclonic chamber filter which then collects dust around that area preventing it from going in the chamber and further blocking the cyclonic filter. Easy to clean and remove the hair but can be very messy depending on dirt build up. This I my first cyclonic vacuum so this may be a typical result of the cyclonic action. Foam filter gets dirty quickly. Vendor claims clean/wash foam filter every three months. We vacuum twice a week and find filter needs to be washed every two weeks or performance drops significantly. Overall best vacuum owned to date with some minor annoying faults that prevents me from giving it a 5 star rating. Not sure that I would go bag-less for my next vacuum as lots of maintenance required to keep it in top performance.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Outstanding vacuum
I was so fed up with my crappy Hoover, but I researched for ages for before finally settling on the Electrolux Ultraflex Allergy Pro. I am still amazed at how wonderful this vacuum is. It's so powerful, it actualy lifts the carpet up off the floor! The amount of dirt that came out of what I had thought was clean carpet, was amazing. I choose this model as it came with the turbo head, but it actually doesn't need it - I kid you not! The little accessory 3 in 1 tool is fabulous too. Very clever design. It works brilliantly on both hard & carpet f...Read more
loors. We have rabbits inside & they leave a lot of hay around their cage. This vacuum picks it all up - no blockages at all! All the connecting parts/dirt chamber/hose separate & connect again with ease. Something I really struggled with, with the Hoover. So so happy with this vacuum!Similar opinion? The best vacuum I have EVER had
Have had many vacuums in my time, this has to be the best vacuum EVER. I couldn't believe how much dirt came out of my supposedly clean carpet and not only the carpet its the best for my timber floor, glides easily and picks up ALL my pet hair- wouldn't get anything else

Glad i splashed the cash
I bought this yesterday at good guys for $499. I was tossing up between this and the upright dyson, and so glad i got this. Really happy that i paid the extra for this model - the turbo head is great, so is the little attachment you can use to clean the couches. We have about half carpet and half tiles,I vacuumed the house with my old vacuum and then went over it again with this and the container was FULL! I cant believe the extra hair and dust the turbo head pulls up!
Its easy to empty out, not too noisy and its easy to use. No complaints!

Best thing I have ever bought
After weeks of reading reviews on this side I was basically deciding between this and the Bosch zoo animal pro. I am so happy I chose this one, it was easy to set up and I just could not believe how much dog hair, dirt and dust it has picked up. I have a German Shepherd and the turbo nozzle picks them up with absolute ease and doesn't get clogged up with hair at all. I haven't owned this long enough to comment on durability however from what I've seen so far I'm very very impressed

Questions & Answers
Brianasked
Our Turbo head makes an extremely loud noise whenever it is lifted from the surface. We had it replaced when it was earlier under warranty, but the noise is so loud that it is very uncomfortable. Should we buy another replacement because the motor might have an issue which is causing the noise?

my electrolux ZUF4205AF wont turn on? Any help?
Paulaasked
I have the ZUF4205AF (Animal Allergy Pro) and power/suction started off well. Now a couple of minutes of switching it on the suction is useless. I have cleaned all filters. Getting frustrated. I'm not sure about removing the side inlet and outlet tubes. I took a long time making the decision to purchase this cleaner but not happy at all. What do you suggest?

usually the filters are the problem but you've cleaned yours - I presume that means washing out the motor filter in water and letting it dry over 24 hours. When I did that when mine stopped sucking as well it returned to brand new condition power.
Change out the HEPA filter.
It is difficult to know if a HEPA filter is clogged.
Of course if it is totally darken on the INSIDE face, it's definitely clogged and new a new one.
