Won't buy another one
Bought this when first came out, broke down within warranty, had to have entire internals replaced. Stopped working again, not reliable. Would not recommend.

Hi to any one how is thinking of buying a car fridge and my own opinion is Engel. once made in Japan and sorry to say now made in china but still good and had not use it much and till 12 months ago and had it running 24/7 for 10 months and wow in the heat never let me down and now i am going to buy a MT35F S/H as a second one as one freezing and one for milk and soft food. I see a lot of other out there and on the side of the road as failed and you must look at the power consumption its the best you will fine on the market. And to me reliability and sorry to hear from others that had a bad run but it like having a good car or a lemon I my self can not complain as my son is a air-con repairer if any thing goes wrong

Happy customer
We decided to buy two. 1 dedicated fridge 1 freezer. At $800 each plus a cover each thrown in, it made more economic sense to buy 2. The combo was 2000 and small freezer. easy access to temp controls etc. Tough and durable. Runs well off solar. When not on road, used as beer fridge on solar full time.
Easy to use. durable with tough plastic exterior that takes rough roads and a few bumps. doesn't rust or dent.

Awesome unit
Keeps things cold very efficiently. Big enough for our family of 3 for a week or more if packed right.
Might not be as robust as the steel case Engel but is still a very strong fridge. Way cheaper to buy than the steel case, lighter and won`t rust. Handles are strong enough to strap it down to stop it from bashing around when off road. We love our plastic Engel!
low power usasge, 1 person can lift it, keeps stuff cold
No temp gauge or interior light

I have a 21 yr old 39lt Engel that works fine. Problem is that it drains power from the battery even when the fridge is turned off. If I unplug the lead from the fridge there is no drain, but when it’s connected there is. Any ideas.
