Cheaply made printer, Software doesn't work
Software is terrible / freezes up most of the time - scanning software doesn't work with Windows 10. Cheaply made printer - cheap plastic paper tray and output tray - Also print quality is very poor on regular print - Have to print in high quality in order to get acceptable results which means you use a lot more ink.
Purchased in March 2021 at Staples Canada for $550.00.

Great idea, great ink management, average printing without duplex
Firstly let me say that I didn't look hard enough to confirm this printer was capable of double sided printing before buying (it isn't).
We were using a Canon MG5660 which was a terrific little printer but which was heavy on ink. It did print double sided though :)
Anyway after the disappointment of finding out the ET-4500 is a single sided printer we've got on with using it. It is GREAT to have the eco tank from a cost and convenience perspective; we've done plenty of printing and haven't needed to replenish the tanks yet. I think it ...Read more
will save us a lot of money over its life (for ink that is). On the other hand we are using paper at a rate of knots which seems to go against the eco claims for this printer. In terms of printing quality I seem to have issues when printing documents with (say) 10 pages or more; pages stop, text and graphics are cut off, and some pdf documents don't print inside the page (they do if printed as single pages though). This points to a memory problem which simply isn't good enough in this day and age. I wish someone would come out with a printer and scanner (forget the fax!) with eco tanks and duplex printing. If they could offer an A3 version I would be in heaven. Based on this printer I won't buy Epson again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Poor quality, difficult to use, malfunctions, recurrent paper jams, avoid this printer
After owning it for over 6 months and given it light use.
Connecting the printer to the computer ( iMac)- confusing and not user friendly, still haven't worked out how to connect wirelessly, its using the USB port only because its the only way I could work out how it could be connected.
Paper feed has recurrent jams, now won't feed a single sheet without jamming and unable to do any useful printing at all.
Printing is slow - slow communication from computer to printer
when printing, speed is slow compared to Brother MFC laser 9000 series

Epson Eco Tank ET “ RUBBISH!!!!!!!”
This is the worst printer I have ever had! scanner is the slowest in the world today it took 7 minutes to scan just 3 pages and it constantly jams every time I use it. I’m constantly re connecting it with my computer and the list of faults go on and on and on. Stay away from this useless, frustration RUBBISH printer!

Big Problems
Struggling to get one of these contraptions to work. First one did not do Auto Document feed. The replacement one dies not like talking to any computers so have to reset all the time. Probably the worst electronic device I have ever bought. Suggest they go into farm machinery or something a bit more agricultural. Don't touch this brand!

Epson crap
You do not need to buy a crappy epson printer You can buy a very good colour laser printer for the price of a epson ink tank. after buying 3 crappy Epsons in the past. i am so happy with my Fuji Xerox laser printer. secondly epson sells the same product with a different model number in other countries at a much cheaper price. Epson eco tanks have been available in East asia for ages. In Australia they were ripping us off with expensive ink cartridges. Boycott Epson. (I have not bought this printer however I cannot submit a review unless I say I have).

would not buy again
Print quality is good. cost of printing very good compared to other printers. does not stay connected to my network, have to reconnect every time I use it (and its not my network, other devices stay connected) constantly gives paper jam error, take out paper tray, put it back, print one page successfully, then get paper jam error on next print job. A waste of money because now I have to buy another printer

Amazing printer very low cost to run.
I can print a full colour page for less than 5c a page on photo a4 stock. Great value for money the ink lasts a long time and is of great quality. I’m sure the cheaper machines in this range are just as good but being a business this one is the best for us as we print a lot and use thick paper stock and photo paper and the straight feed path is better for our needs.

Fantastic solution for busy home
By far the easiest printer I have ever setup, both wirelessly, fax, usb and ethernet. It allocated itself all the IP details and configured effortlessly into my network. It comes with huge ink tanks and a 2 year supply of ink!....even if the ink lasts a year, I'd be more than happy. It does away with cartridges which was the worst part of all my old printers...my last inkjet died a messy death. Another 2 year ink supply for this beast is only around $60 and you can see visually where the ink levels are. Very good build quality all-round. Worth the premium initial price in my opinion. It faxes, prints, scans, photocopies and networks effortlessly. This printer has given me one less thing to worry about.
