Come back Veda!!
I used to have an annual subscription with Veda, which gave me emailed alerts whenever my credit file was access and a full emailed credit file report once per year. When Equifax took over... they said the service was no longer available and put me on a $6 per month plan... and I have received nothing since ?!?!. No credit file, no alerts (I have arrange at least 2 new credit items since)... they continue to debit my account the $6 every month and give no product or service in return. I’m

I wish there was a way to rate someone negative 5 stars.
I applied for credit from my bank who use Equifax for their credit checks. I was declined and nobody could tell me why, my score is between 500 and 600 and the only negative marks against my report are 3 enquiries over the past 2 years when making enquiries with lenders about what interest rate they could offer me for a loan. This company does not provide customer service in any capacity, refused to look at my financial history in depth as they used an automated algorithm to determine my score. If they had considered my history properly they wo...Read more
uld have seen that I have no unbecoming marks against my name and that I should have been eligible for credit. Disgusted that my bank are using these people for credit checks and I hope they realise sooner rather than later that this company is going to cost them millions in lost revenue.Similar opinion? Couldn't be any more poorly put together
As an employer if you want to put in place the biggest barrier to entry for attracting the best possible candidates for your organisation then use Equifax eCredentialing. It has huge problems for any user trying to create an account. Getting into your account if you have been lucky enough to be able to create one is almost impossible. If you are able to log in the process a candidate has to complete is so cumbersome and glitchy most quality candidates will simply be so frustrated they will give up and decide they want to work for an organisation that is better managed than to have chosen such a foolish piece of technology to use.

Worst company I have ever dealt with!!!
If I could give them a negative rating I would. Most incompetent company I have ever dealt with in my life, I guess that's what you get for having a call centre that is based in the Philippines. I think I have spoken to half a dozen reps now and not one of them can understand a thing I am trying to say. The situation is that a default was placed on my credit report in error, the other two credit agencies have had no issues removing the default having received confirmation from the creditor that the default was an error. However, the default sti...Read more
ll remains on my equifax report. Everytime I ring the call centre I get the same response we have not received confirmation of this from Origin. I'm pretty sure Origin would have notified them otherwise the other two credit agencies wouldnt have removed the default. Seriously the issue lies with Equifax, even though they're trying to blame Origin (origin have been nothing but helpful). The Australian government needs to do something about them!!! Why have we even got such a company dealing with our most private and personal information when they cant even control what information gets sent to them?Similar opinion? Absolutely Incompetent - Ask for every possible detail under the sun and provide nothing in return. It's that simple!!! They clearly have not ever heard of customer service. If you can go elsewhere.

Unconscionable Deductions
Since 2013, this company that was re branded from Veda to Equifax, has deducted funds from my account. I was unaware that when I purchased a credit report in 2013 that they would deduct that amount every year unless I opted out. The ACCC recently took this company to court for its unconscionable conduct. On the 2 Oct 2018 Equifax received a penalty of $3.5 million for misleading and deceptive conduct and unconscionable conduct. So one would think they would stop all 'subscriptions' that were obtained in an unconscionable manner. But no, two ded...Read more
uctions on my account occurred after this decision, the most recent was December 2018. They asked me to provide evidence that I had cancelled my 'subscription' knowing full well about their recent court penalty. I wonder how many other people are still having funds deducted from their accounts.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Equifax - no equality
My credit score with two other CRA is rated mid 700 to 800, One would think that applying for a car loan would be easy. Far from it. Equifax have given me a low 500. When i ask the question as to why, I get the run around. I get emails sent to me requesting details as to my identity after I have previously rang them and they established my identity obver the phone. . the majority of lenders including 2nd tier lenders are contracted to Equifax. Guess what, unable to get a simple loan due to the Eqifax score . lenders will not look at the ot...Read more
her two CRA credit scores. The other issue relates to enquiries, each time a person makes an enquiiry about a loan, it is reported on the credit file and if to many enquireis the credit score is reduced. I find that going through a Broker for a loan wil impact on the credit score, they make several enqiries through their panel of lenders and bingo, they all get recorded . Equifax should be made to justify how they calculate credit scores, simly put they will destroy consumer confidence and we will finish up with a class of society unable to get finance because of some alogorithm calculation. Its an absolute jokeSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Can I rate it - 5 Stars...
Hi,
I am a receptionist for an accounting company and for the past few months Veda (equifax) has been charging us for an account we don't have. I have spent the past few months trying to get a hold of the company just to get an invoice or facts about this charge but could not get a hold of them. First they gave us an incorrect email address and after 3 calls I finally got the correct email address and a month later I still had no response. I have currently been on the phone with them for the past 3hrs and they still are not answering.

you got to be joking
I have a perfect credit history and never missed a payment. My credit score was downgraded by 40 points.
I rang Equifax and raised the question, a supervisor located overseas responded: The reason is that there is no activity on your file for the last 2 years which means I did not borrow more money.
So If anyone borrows money and apply for a credit the score is downgraded and if a Member does not borrow or apply for a credit for 2 years and never misses a payment then the score is downgraded because of NO ACTIVITY ON FILE.

Take Care
Recently selling my car but Revs wrongly identified the Model Year from the VIN number, this impacts the potential selling price.
VW Australia advised in writing the correct MY but when this was raised with Equifax they refused to correct the information on their site.
Which brings into question the accuracy of any of the information provided in their reporting, easy money.
Suggest reports are sought directly from the Australian Government site not through REVS.

Scam, their secret formula is a fraud
3 years of trying to deal with their so called secret credit score, getting information on how to fix etc... they are above the law it seems and AFCA doesn't even know who regulates them.
We should all gather take them to the high court of Australia and make them and the other 2 agencies (experian and Illion) that handle our sensitive information to release the secret formula, list the bad and good credit providers, and gives us the information we need to make good credit decisions. we are playing blind game and it needs to stop. Release the formula so we all can play the game fairly.

Worst Customer service ever!
I've been dealing with Equifax for many years and find their customer service to be utterly disgraceful. If I need to speak with the investigation team they are never available unless you get really angry and demand to be put through. What a load of garbage they do not accept calls.
The hold music is horrible and the service is worse.
I'd love to change providers but they have a monopoly over credit reports.

Complain to AFCA.
Equifax- previously trading as Veda Advantage, were taken to the Federal Court last year by the ACCC.
I encourage those persons adversely affected or having difficulty with this company to lodge a complaint with AFCA as I have recently done.
It is extremely concerning some of the main banks in Australia are checking credit applicants credit history with this company given their level of incompetence and inability to maintain correct personal financial records.
Equifax have failed to provide me with my free credit report.

I would contact your bank and ask them. If they are using your credit card, cancel it and have it replaced perhaps.
I have had the same problem with Veda a few years ago, on contacting my Bank I was told to cancel the card involved which did stop the mongrel thieves from accessing more of my money...........
