Memory Foam Mattress King

Hi,

Can you please confirm how the customised bed base is constructed? Is it slats or a boarding?

Thanks

Hi, thank you for your question. The bed frame consists of slats with a fabric covering to provide the perfect platform for a mattress. Kind regards, Ergoflex Australia.

Memory Foam Mattress King

I purchased a Queen mattress in 2014 and now purchased a King in 2022. In the newer 2022 model my mid-lower back bottoms out the memory foam as soon as I lie on my back, whereas the 2014 one felt firmer and took longer to mold. I'm waking up in the night a lot to move around because it's hurting my back. Consequently I don't know if I'm getting the support I need and am waking up with a sore back. What's changed since previous models?

Can you put a pillow top on top of Ergoflex mattress

You could but I dont know why you would need to. It's much more comfortable than a pillow top!

Not sure about a pillow top. However, we bought an Ardor High Loft Mattress Topper from Harris Scarfe (about $80 on special) and that works well. Makes a great mattress even better. Like sleeping on a cloud!

Hi Anne, thank you for your question. Some customers do use additional toppers, overlays with our mattresses. It's very much a personal choice, and whatever feels comfortable for you.

Can the ergoflex mattress be used on an ensemble base (queen size)?

2 answers

Hi Jan, I’m not an expert but I would think that if your ensemble base is firm then the ErgoFlex mattress would be OK but perhaps you should ask the distributor. Mine is on a slat base.
Kind regards,

Ergoflex
Matthew W.Ergoflex

Hi Jan, thank you for your question. Yes - Ergoflex® memory foam mattresses can be safely used with all types of beds, even adjustable electrics and ensembles. So you do not need to change your bed frame. We would however advise that whilst it is ok to use Ergoflex® memory foam mattresses with a slightly sprung bed base it will perform better on a solid slatted bed frame.

How do we spin this mattress without killing ourselves because it has no loops/ handles or lugs like normal mattresses? We are in our mid to late 70's and I see a major problem looming.

It is recommended by the manufacturer. I'm not saying to flip it over but to spin it top to toe

Can A euro king mattress be suitable for a king frame

Hi Sandy,
I have a queen frame so purchased the queen mattress. I would suggest contacting the company directly to receive a guaranteed answer.

Ergoflex
Matthew W.Ergoflex

Hi Sandy, you can place a Euro King mattress on a king frame and it will sleep well. However the Euro King is only 160x200, a king frame wider and longer in size. You will therefore have space on the fame at either end and sides of your mattress. A king mattress or two long singles would be the ideal choice for a king frame.

Has anyone ever had problems with this mattress and do they honour the 30 night trial? If so is it a nightmare to send back?

1 answer

It would be hard to package to send back as it comes like shrink wrapped in a plastic bag and once opened it expands up to its full size. No way would you ever get it back in that bag again. You would need to get a mattress bag to send it back - I believe Bunnings sell them.

Would you recommend buying a Tempur or Ergoflex memory foam mattress?

I have slept on a tempur mattress as well, and I can seriously not feel any difference. In the end it was the price of the Ergoflex mattress that won us over. For us it was bargain! Would highly recommend.

Question for ergoflex,

Our mattress got molds because of the moist that was built up between the mattress and bed frame while using heater inside the room. What can you recommend for the removal of moulds and its stains? The bed surface is already exposed for almost a week to air and sun. Mould stains are still there. Please help asap. Thank you in advance.

Memory Foam Mattress

Need to know if this will suit a male who is overweight about 150k He has tried to sleep on the foam matresses but it is nearly impossible for him to change position. We bought about 10 yrs ago a mastress with firm sides that was suppose to help the matress keep its shape. cost was $3000 back then. Just want somethig he can lay on and get up and turn over easily. We are lucky to have bought a very strong iron bed and its in good shape. He really does not need a matress he will sink into.. So is this a suitable matress for him or not?

I've no idea how suitable this is for that weight. I can only give the benefit of my experience: When I first bought this mattress I was over 120kg and found there was no problem "sinking" into the bed. We had no springs on the bed frame that supported it - it was a solid base ensemble which I would think is important. I have now lost 45kg and the bed still suits me - there is no lasting indent from the weight I used to carry.

Dors
Dors

Thanks Emma. But I really need an answer for him being able to change positions. I feel that being a matress that moulds to the bodeey it would take away the rolling over easily in the bed.. I hope there is an answer out there as I am really interested for myself.. but need to consider my Husband..

Ergoflex
Matthew W.Ergoflex

Dear Dors, thank you for your question. To ensure ongoing maximum performance from an ErgoFlex mattress and longevity of use, we recommend as a precaution that the mattresses are suitable for persons up to approximately 114 kg or 252 lbs in weight or a combined weight of 190 kg or 420 lbs. Performance of the foam may therefore be affected by the weight as indicated above. Indeed your husband may find the mattress softer to sleep on than others and thus nsuitable for his needs. Kind regards, Ergoflex.

I wonder if you might tell me something about Ergoflex in the context of our experience with Tempur. 8-9 years ago we bought what I think was called a Tempur Celebrity based on advice in-store. We have bad backs and once it softened up it became clear that we had been given bad advice. So after months of fighting with the store we got a replacement (And much firmer) basic Tempur 20.

For the first couple of years it was perfect but over time it got softer and softer. No visible dints to trigger a warranty claim but just lacking support/sponge-like. For some years it was fine in winter and too soft in summer leading to back pain. This winter it hasn't even hardened up so we know it's done.

My question to you is whether we are likely to experience similar with Ergoflex and how your warranty deals with this scenario. I see that "normal softening" is not covered but I take that to mean the first few weeks/months, not becoming like a sponge after 2-3 years..

Cheers

Brent

Hi, we had the same problem with Tempur and living in Tassie was even worse, so, so hard to sleep on in Winter. We now have Ergoflex Queen and it is perfect summer and winter, would not go back to any other brand of mattress

Hi Bryan, I've had no trouble at all with my Ergo flex mattress. 5 years on it's just as good as when we first got it.

Our ergoflex did the same as what you are describing with Tempur. It was way too hot in summer and winter and it softened after 2 years. We are going back to futons.

Memory Foam Mattress

I have an adjustable bed frame so I am glad that the mattress can be used on these. I have only one question. I find it very hard as I have a genetic myopathy, which effect my back muscles and legs. Plus I also find it very hard to regulate my body temp. Memory foam makes me overheat in Summer but I find works well for me in winter. Is it right when I say the Ergoflex foam is the new gell infused foam? Better for body heat regulation?

Hi Tina,
I'm sorry but I'm not sure if the ergoflex is gel infused. I've heard of another online mattress company which I think have the gel infused foam and they are called 'sitting duck'. They actually offer a 100 day trial period. There are a few other online companies as well you might want to look into.
Hope this helps.

Thankyou for your quick response. I will look further into that. I appreciate your time. Kind regards

Not sure if they are gel infused, but one of my concerns was how hot the mattress might get. Cue menopause, hot flushes and extreme night sweats! So far so good though. Have had a couple of night sweats, but nothing to do with the mattress and everything to do with hormones. Having said that, it is winter so I have not yet slept on it during summer, but hopeful it will perform well.

Dear Luciano, thank you for your question. Our mattresses can be safely used with all types of bed bases, including adjustable electric bed frames. In fact we have thousands of customers both here in Australia and across Europe who choose to use our mattress with adjustable bases. Please reach out to us if you require any further information. Regards, Ergoflex.

I have not had experience with an adjustable base but the company seems to think it will be okay. We still use the base for our old inner sprung mattress and it is fine with that. Every morning my husband and I wake up and say, "isn't this mattress just SO comfortable!" It is so lovely and warm too.

Hi there do you have the equivalent mattress to Tempur Pebble - Medium ?

hermi1

I'm not sure what the equivalent is sadly but I'd say it's a medium firmness (which is a very subjective thing I know as everyone enjoys a different level of firmness)

Ergoflex
Matthew W.Ergoflex

Hi Annette, thank you for your question. The Ergoflex mattress is classed as medium/firm, and the density of the memory foam has been carefully developed to provide optimum comfort which most people in AU and the UK find is to their preference. Our customers inform us that we are firmer than the Tempur Cloud but softer than their Original model. Don’t forget we have a 30-day trial so you are welcome to trial our mattress for suitability. Regards, Ergoflex Australia.
