Amazing carrier.
My ERGO was fabulous from 6 months to about 2yrs old for both my kiddies. Great pockets for phone and keys. I bought the Limited Edition Christie Turlington one from Amazon, and an attachable shoulder bag to match. It has held its condition perfectly, I no longer need it but don't want to sell it as it is so nice.
Purchased in July 2021 at Amazon for $120.00.

Easy to adjust
Good instructions came with this product and it was easy for dad to own this product and make it his thing! Infant insert was essential to start with and then we were able to easily transport and take with us everywhere. Felt secure and safe with this baby carrier. Good product!

A carrier that really has performance
It was for the second baby, so we had other brands before. The Ergobaby range was around when we had our first, or maybe we didn't see it. Anyway, it was better than our previous carriers. Really confortable and nice on the shoulders. My back didn't feel much tension. But, the best tester is my baby. She loves it. Falls asleep in it everytime.

Worth its weight in gold for us
I bought the Ergobaby Performance when my son was 5 weeks old as he would sleep only on me and I couldn't just sit there holding him all day anymore. I chose the Performance as it was summer and it also came with the infant insert. It took a bit of practice putting on but after a while it was very easy and comfortable; the insert helped as it kept baby contained, particularly useful when I had to put him down as he would stay snugly enclosed and asleep. Little did I know then that he would sleep in it for all his day naps until he was 6 months!...Read more
Great way to enable me to get stuff done, keep baby happy and much easier than lugging a pram around. It also helped immensely with his reflux in the early months as it kept him upright. Easy to chuck in the washing machine, insert and all. The little pocket is big enough to keep a phone, keys and card in and the cover is good enough for shade - I did prefer it not completely covering baby's head as he was so young and I could see there was no obstruction. Definitely my number one baby purchase.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Worth the money!
We bought this after a couple of months using a pram and I use it most days. It's great to pop the baby in and walk to the shops for a quick trip or if you're running errands. I sometimes use it if she's grumbly and I have to do housework. You can put the baby in it and do the washing and the washing up with your hands free. If the baby doesn't want to go to sleep you can put them in it and walk around and in no time at all they'll be asleep. Honestly, I use it way more than the pram which is heavy and hard to assemble and get in and out o...Read more
f the house and car. We bought this one, especially because it was made with the mesh fabric and it really breathes. Living in Brisbane and it being over 30 most days for half of the year, we needed a carrier that would breathe and not be too hot. Ergobaby carriers put the weight onto your hips rather than drag down your shoulders. If it does feel like your shoulders are being pulled down it usually means the baby is not sitting in it correctly or it's too tight or too loose around the shoulders or hips. Just do some adjusting and it should feel more comfortable. The sunshade is good if it's really sunny or raining and can protect the baby a bit. There's also a pocket you can put keys, cards, phone etc in. So far I've only used it in the front position as my baby is 8 months. I've never tried the hip position or the back position at this stage. I've been meaning to review it for ages because I really love this carrier and would recommend it to any new parent.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Where is the pouch?
I have used the original for the first few weeks when my son was born., borrowed from a friend. I bought the performance because my baby was so warm in the original one, and this was at winter time. Quite happy with the performance although I deeply miss the big pouch the original has, which can accomodate, a purse, a nappy, a burp cloth.
I don't think a pouch would have compromised the main purpose of the carrier (ie being light).
An earlier comment mention a pouch, but this is only for the rain/sun cover, a really tiny one... That's a shame!

Life saver! Must have baby product!
This is truly a life saver! Initially, it was a bit difficult to put it on, but with more practise, it will just be a breeze. Our Bub is 2.5 months old now. We used to spend 1 to 1.5 hours to try to put her to sleep at night until one night, I decided to try the ergobaby performance. Within 20 mins, she fell asleep and what amazing was that when I took her off the carrier, she stayed asleep. So I just simply wrap her and put her into bed. Now we only need 5-10 minutes to carry her before she falls asleep while watching TV or doing our normal be...Read more
dtime routine as you can get your two hands free. The downside would be that it can get pretty hot in warm days and is a bit tricky and uncomfortable for both you and Bub when you sit down as the waist belt can stuck between Bub's bum and your leg. because it gives your back less pressure when Bub is facing outward. If facing inward, it feels similar. And Bub is more comfy being carried on your back in performance than in 360. However, I would go with 360 as it can outward carry and on rare occasion you would carry baby on your back.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great for Dad, not Mum's preferred carrier. Good features & comfort (by Dad)
This is our pram - we don't use the wheeled variety! It makes life so much easier - who cares about steps, narrow doorways, getting on buses - with an Ergo, you have free hands all the time.
It has been a life saver at 3am, carrying restless kids around the block. We're now up to baby number 2 and carry her in it often; however number 1 still wants to ride in it (at 15kg) every now and then - which is not a big problem.
Pros: easy to use;
+ child is nice and close and definitely comfy;
+ very easy to take off (easier than putting on);

Couldn't have survived without it!
I used the Ergobaby Performance from when my LO turned about 4mo. It was so much easier to have my hands free when out and about, and sometimes I used it to wear him around the house too. Was perfect for breastfeeding whilst on the move. My partner used it a fair bit too. LO got to a stage where he just refused to go in the stroller so the Ergo was a blessing, especially as he was a 'runner' and found it difficult to stay close when he started walking. He has always been happy in the Ergo and liked being close to mum or dad. Only stopped ...Read more

BEST baby purchase i've made!
I LOVE this carrier! I have used it more than my expensive pram. My bubs is 9 months and has loved it from birth. I would take him to the beach and he would have naps in it. He doesn't sleep in it now but I just whip it out for quick shop runs etc. So good for settling a newborn and getting out and about. Would highly recommend!
material is breathable for sunny hot qld, love the pocket for keys/ phone, sleepy hood
my bub is a big boy, I find sometimes it can be a bit uncomfortable after a while, probably because he is a budda and im only small

Love it! Have told countless people to get it.
Love this carrier. I never used it when my kid was a newborn as I had a hugabub but got it around 6 months and used it until 18 months. Never had a problem and used it daily. Was sad when I didn't have the strength to carry my little one anymore. My husband can still use it on his back.
Easy and fast to use, holds baby close to the body, back hold option. Baby feels super secure.
Would have liked a forward facing option as my baby was sometimes so keen to see and would end up all twisted.

Baby loves it... everybody is happy
We got this for my four month old (chubby baby) because my other baby carriers were really starting to annoy me. One was cumbersome to put on and the other was digging into my shoulders. I had thought that he might object to no longer being forward facing but he absolutely loves the back position. Even when he's cranky he seems to settle down. He feels so light in it and our 15kg three year old also enjoys being in it. Will be very useful for family trips/walks. Perfect carrier!
I purchase my ergo performance when bub was 1 yr old. It's been the best thing we've invested in.Mostly used for travel and shopping in supermarket.Lightweight,practical,durable.I have a little boy and my husband decided to gor with ergo carrier as it does notT hold bub by the crotch like some other carriers do.
All ergo carriers support well, the same way you would carry your baby in your arm;holding bum and legs.A real sitting position instead of hanging.
I purchased mine new but now after only 1yrand a half,it is not being used much.
I do not really like investing in expensive items that won't be use in the long run.
So may be considering a good secondhand ergo from ebay could have been a better options to save some $$$.

Great back carrier, not so much the front
I bought this for my 2nd child when he was 4 months old. Until that point I had used a Baby Bjorn.
Initially I had some trouble getting my 4 month old to be happy in the Ergo, as he had been facing outwards in the BB and seemed uncomfortable in the Ergo. Not sure if he was in it correctly, as his face was half covered up by the sides of the carrier.
After we reached the point where he went on my back it was great to use. We loved it for bushwalking, and for the beach.
Our son is now 2 years old and still happy to sit on my back when he is tired when we are out and about.
Comfy for adult, can use it for a long time.
Uncomfortable for my son when he carried on the front.

excellent product
Love this carrier, its simple and easy to use. My baby usually always sleeps in it very easily. I used to joke that there was some kind of special sedative in the stitching somewhere, as he just fell straight to sleep in it a lot! I brought the newborn insert but found it cumbersome and didn't use it. Wish I hadn't have bothered with it now
sturdy, easy, comfy, great reputation
expensive, instruction book could be a little clearer

Could not live without it!
I did not not buy this carrier till bub was six months old and I really don't know how I survived without it. It's lightweight, comfortable and easy to wash and i use it for everything from the housework, shopping and exercising with Kanga training. Bub loves it and falls asleep easily in it.
Moulded comfortable straps, the pocket for keys/mobile etc
Was a little expensive but I shopped around and found a sale.

Perfect carrier
We bought this carrier when my baby was 14 months old. We should have bought it earlier. It's great for carrying her when we go to busy places (market etc) or when she gets tired after a long walk. We will be travelling overseas soon and it will be perfect at the airports. She goes easily to sleep in it which is a real plus too. Easy to adjust so my husband who is much taller than me can carry her too.
Lightweight, baby feels weightless in it
A bit expensive

Krisszel, I have to agree that the Ergobaby is perfect for travel. I did a solo trip with a toddler to Asia in my Performance carrier and it made life a whole lot easier. Hope your trip went well and you both continue to love your Performance.

Best baby purchase
Im writing this review carrying my sick 15 months old in it. Definitely it's one of the best baby product I hv bought. Got it when my first was around 18 months for travelling overseas- A bit too late, had bjorn but didnt really get much use out if it. It's great at the airport if you are travelling alone and wants yr hand free for all the carry-ons you need to bring on board. Love that's it's lightweight and thinner than other ergos as I need to travel to countries where the weather are hot and humid.

good use out of it. He will always sleep in it when we are out and about and seems to love being in it. With 2.5 years gap between the 2 kids, i generally take out a pram and ergo, my big one can sleep inside the pram when she's tired and baby in ergo or if she prefers to walk then I can put the baby in the pram. So it's really working well for us. My only gripe is about the baby insert, it's a bit fiddly for me to put baby in having to lie baby down so it's not so convenient to do that just anywhere. Also it's too thick for my liking as bub was born in summer so i find that it's too hot. So for newborn to 3-4 months i prefer babybjorn in term of ease. But beyond 4 months ergo is a lot more comfy on my back and I will have no back pain carrying him for hour or two. Other than that ergos rock. And now my sick baby is asleep in it. Lightweight, breathable, comfy than other brands Fiddly baby insert1 comment
