    Slice toaster

    published

I toasted whole wheat bread, pita bread and white bread in my toaster, the different settings of the toaster work really well with different types of bread, the bread never gets stuck in the toaster easily, that the best of this toaster, I really enjoy using my toaster every morning

    dangerous

I bought this toaster as a useful back up but it was a mistake. it caught alight and a huge flame jumped up out of it and burnt my crumpet. The side of the toaster at the top were melted as a result. Target had no hesitation in taking it back without a receipt but I believe that shops such as target and the other big 3 need to set minimum standards for their products. What happens to these pieces when they are returned ? they go into landfill. Unacceptable use of resources from our planet. I wont be tricked into buying cheap again.

    2 Slice toaster bargain

    published

$12 bargain. It sure does cook the toast but it is very fickle and unreliable in how it toasts. On a low setting we must still watch the toaster as it does not 'hold' the bread upright, instead it leans. (an average slice from Woolworths loaf of bread, not exceptionally thin). Because of the 'lean' it means that one side can very quickly burn while the other has nothing happen to it. I have worried constantly this week after buying it that it is not safe for my kids to use. You really do need to always watch your bread and then stop it to turn it around. It would be a handy toaster while you are waiting for something better, but I would not recommend it for long term use.
