Really does last a lifetime.
These pots just never say die. Ive had them 30 years and ive used them in dishwasher, burnt the bottoms and the insides. They always clean up well. They truly are worth the little extra money. Id stick with brand forever.

Among Esteele's best (best of the best)
Pity to hear concern regarding support or warranty. Hope it is just a glitch as it is not the norm for this firm over its lifetime.
I only had one maybe two occasions to mention any problems with our numerous Esteele cookware. The one I remember involved a handle I had managed by to melt. Happily replaced at my mere query as to availability. Our use is now running into its fifth decade and all I can bring to the table as possible negatives are one handle I badly abused and one I probably did.
Every version Esteele have brought out have b...Read more
een fantastic tools. Australis is no less. Beautiful to look at and beautiful to use. Most of our Esteele cookware is of older form but we do have several from the Australis and also later ranges. While the current, Per Vita and Bellissimo (if there is a difference) can look very pretty they can also look too bulbous to my eye. It does work very well however. The earliest versions seem more utilitarian (no curvyness for the sake of it) and also work just as well. We have some Esteele pots I thought were Australis but have fully enclosed bases so must be the immediately previous range. These just tip the scales as my favourites but the Australis range comes very close (the others too.) While the quality and looks have always been premium, the recent versions including Australis have extended the range so that there can be little need for other steel cookware. (frypans excluded as the great Esteele offerings can be supplemented there) Easy to use, offering very exact temperature control, good to look at.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Thought they were the best - until I needed their warranty...
We bought 3 saucepans and a covered saute pan about 9 years ago from DJs or Myer - pretty big investment back then as a young newlywed couple in their 20s. I'd love to have given great feedback here after using for this time (especially when I see others with a long lasting experience) however we had an issue with the saute pan lifting from the copper base when it heats.
My wife was keen to purchase another brand however I looked into the warranty as from memory it was lifetime! Sure enough when I got in contact with the warranty support l...Read more
ine a nice lady confirmed this *however* said it was policy that they wouldn't even accept my return without proof of purchase. I found this really hard to accept and to be honest haven't progressed to buying another one yet while I swallow the fact that the warranty sold to me us was now completely useless. The chances of me finding a 9 year old receipt or other documentation is next to impossible (especially after 2 house moves). Alternatives such as finding bank statements were given to me but obviously I'm not hanging onto every bank statement. The question is - with lifetime warranty, why do we even need to provide proof of purchase. I can take a photo of my esteele saucepans all bought together to prove I didn't find this one at the rubbish tip - funny but is that what they are implying? Unless I get some kind of response in my last resort (here) then my advice will be don't make a decision for the expensive brand with the 'lifetime' warranty - you might be better off just buy a new set every 2-3 years.

Extremely well made for my style of cooking
After having this set for a few years my daughter wanted some for Christmas. Unfortunately if bought her the 'top' German brand thinking I could go one better.
That brand does not measure up at all, the saucepans handles get very hot. Was told all this stuff by the consultant and none of it true apart from the thick base.

Essteele saucepan . How do I replace my broken handles?
I love my Essteele saucepans. When I purchased them over 20 years ago, they had a life time guarantee. I now find I cannot replace any broken handles. As I use my saucepan and steamer set the most, I have started sacrificing parts of the rest of my set. I now have a steamer with only one handle and my smallest saucepan has a broken handle on the lid. What can I do?

Perfection
Still using my grand mothers and I'm 50. What does that tell you. Just need new handles. Pots will last another 3 generations.

So impressed
We've had the deep two-handled frying pan for 3-ish years now and continue to be impressed by it's quality. It heats consistently and cooks beautifully. Best part though is cleaning it - even if something has charred, we just leave an inch of water in it for 10 minutes once we've finished cooking and all the food just gently rubs off without any effort. Amazing.
Even heat and cooking, easy to clean

Good
Good Quaity, easy to clean but heavy cookware coz obviously its thick stainless steel and some copper in there too. My advice dont buy cookware which bolt screwed inside, its hard to clean. Buy the one which is plain inside, NO BOLTS OR SOMETHING WHICH IS CONNECTED TO HANDLES.
MATCH BOX IN CHADSTONE, THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS NOT GOOD. PRODUCT IS FINE THOUGH
Easy to Clean

4 years on and I could not be happier!
After a lot of research I bought a fullest (3 pots, skillet and sauté pan) online 4 years ago. So far nothing at all has gone wrong they are used daily and put in the dishwasher, they still look fabulous!
Make sure you season your pans by heating oil until it smokes, turn the burner off and let it cool completely. Wipe with paper towel. Don't use soap to wash it only water (or you need to season it again) this will make your pan non-stick.
Solid, look great, amazing quality, worth every cent
They are heavy so be careful of glass cooktops and be careful when you put them on stone bench tops - gently!

Great quality
I've had the set of Saucepans for around two years now. They have been perfect so far. Food cooks so well in them and it stays warm. They look greats and seem great quality. I use mine a lot and put them in the dishwasher and so far haven't had any trouble.
Quality, works great, looks great
Nothing so far

Very generous company....
What a very generous and consederate gesture... My 30( something) year old 'Stockpot' that had a bulge in the base, and would not sit flat on my hot plate,so whatever I cooked on it was not even cooking, or cooking efficiently like before..
A phone call to a lovely Meyer Rep. who advised me to return it for inspection..and a week later a Brand New Stockpot arrived.
I would like to thank you for your generosity and efficiency..
I have always loved my essteele ware.( I've had mine for well over 30 years.when my 3 children were married my advice to them was to purchase essteele, and you'll always be happy with your Cookwear..
My thanks again.. .. Yours truly.. E. Roach.

ver hear stories like yours because it is so rare for anything to go wrong. 20 odd years ago I casually mentioned that the Bakelite-like plate under one of our lid knobs had split. There was a new one on the doorstep the next day. Perhaps most cookware is pretty hardy but this pride and confidence in ones own product is why many keep on coming backSimilar opinion? I can't believe how good they are
I purchased a set of copper based saucepans and a fry pan in 1975 and have used them all the time since then
I conducted my own catering business for years also, so they got extra use. I am a trade cook.
Until recently-not one problem (almost 40 years later) One of the handles is just starting to crack from the years of wear so I need to replace it as the saucepan and base are still perfect.
Thank you so much Esteele (I think I am getting my money's worth)- I will never ever part with them.
Durability -no matter how much use they get
The handle has cracked on one of the saucepans 38 years later...bummer

Not Safe
I was given a whole set of Austalis 8 years ago by my children. they cook wonderfully BUT the soft rubber handles loosened within 3 years . Without being put in the dishwasher. They are now dangerous to use as when you want to pour with them the handles twist in your hand. Sad thing was I bought a complete set for my daughter-in-law just before mine started to cause a problem and now she has the same dangerous product but with two small children around her feet as well.
Cook well
Handles are dangerous after a short period of time

if you ring them they will replace the handles. I have just done so myself after 7 yrs my handles silicone let go. I have just received all the replacement saucepan lids and handles for the others. Fantastic service from them. Just ring them .

Long Lasting
After receiving a set for a wedding present 32 years ago they still look as good as new, I replaced them last week to suit my new Induction cook top and could not go past the Essteele again, love them, I have packed the old set up to pass on to my 26 yo son, if I can get him to move out!!

Excellent
This product was recommended to me by my mother, who has had Essteele Australis cookware for a little while now.
We were looking to replace our cookware, with health and ease of cleaning being the top two priorities. In other cookware there seems to be a trade-off between the two (either easy to clean but concerns about the safety of non-stick coatings, OR very safe to use but more difficult to clean). I don't know how they did it, but Essteele has solved both issues and made beautiful-looking cookware in the process!!

Best brand of cookware ever seen or used
Brought 3 pieces from Myer a few years ago after a recommendation from the sales staff, bolted / welded on handles - tick, thick copper bases - tick this as well.
If your looking for cookware, i highly recommend that you get these
Cons frying / saute pans hard to find or do not exist.
Bolted / welded on handles, Thick copper bases for even heat / keeping food warm after heating
Frying / saute pans hard to find or do not exist

Excellent
So I have signed in specifically to write this review. This is a positive review so please read to the end.
We have had our saucepans since our wedding in 2001 and we got them from Peters of Kensington. The pans still look almost as good as the day we got them (not quite so shiny but you get that).
We have had some issues. After 6 years the lid handles began to lose their thread and started to come off. So I called up Meyer (Cookware Brands) and asked for a replacement. “Sure!”, they said, and posted 4 of them to us - no charge.
Then, ...Read more
after about 7 years, I noticed that the “Bakelite” on the helper handle on the 3.8L 20cm pay was beginning to disintegrate due to heat going up the side of the pan. The pan was still fine but 2 weeks ago I rang Meyer up again to ask for a replacement. Again they said “No problem” and posted me one out no charge even though they told me that this kind of damage is not covered by the warranty. My point is that the pans themselves were in still perfect condition after 9 years of solid everyday use and there was absolutely no reason to replace them. We just needed to replace the lid and helper handles (the pan handles were fine). My wife and I are more than happy with them.1 comment
What is a helper handle?? I see that they still make plastic covered handles, i guess they are different to the ones you are talking about??

Do not buy!!!!
Worst product ever!! The metal melted after Beijing on high for 25 mins with the saucepan half full of water. Turns out that the lifetime guarantee doesn't exist either because when sending it away the reply was that it is not under warranty. To make matters worse in an effort to cool it down by getting it to the sink, some metal flicked onto the bench and ruined that too.
Metal melts when put on electric stove on high

18/10 stainless melts at 1400 degrees C, I doubt your electric cooktop got it even close to that hot
Not to mention that water can only boil up to a certain degrees and certainly not high enough to melt metal. I would say that you had no water in the saucepan and accidentally left the electric stove ... Read more

I bought an Essteele Australis stockpot for cooking stews and sauces. I found the stockpot on sale and have been so impressed with it that I will be buying more Essteele cookware in the future. The base is very thick and heavy. The pot heats quickly and cooks the food so evenly it is a dream to cook with and sauces especially cook to perfection. The amazing thing about this cookware, is nothing sticks to it which makes the clean up so quick and easy. Once it is dry, it polishes up to a mirror finish with just a light rub with a tea towel or soft cloth. Highly recommended
Excellent quality, easy clean, very thick heavy base
nothing at all

The best ever!
I have replaced some very old, bad saucepans with these fabulous cookware items. Despite the price, I felt it worth trying after looking at a number of reviews and comparing it to other well known brands. I could not be happier with my purchase and have highly recommended it to family and friends. I had a friend who bought non-stick Scanpan and her only comment was "the egg stick" - that doesn't happen with my cookware! Nothing is a problem to clean off.
Very easy to clean, even heat distribution, handles don't get hot (as promised in the brochure)

I have been using my mother-in-law’s 1960’s Essteele saucepan and steamer set. I love them and they’re still in great condition apart from some expected wearing in the handles. My question is about toxicity and safety of saucepans this old. I believe that aluminium is often part of the stainless steel composite in saucepans. I know they have a lifetime warranty for use proper but what about metal leaching? Thanks.

Do the steel handles get hot when cooking on the stove? Currently have the saucepan with the silicone handles and thats nice to work with. Considering the metal handles now but worried about getting burnt when holding the handles while cooking on stove. Any comments are welcome. Thanks

Yes the copped bottomed pans work very well. You will be surprised how quickly a pan of water heats up - quicker than an electric kettle!
