OK
It would be better if the bottom saucepan part of the steamer had handles both sides like the top part does. It would be even better if it had two small handles as well as the long handle. The grip handle came unglued so I had to cut it off.
The bottom saucepan part of the steamer is a good size for stews and just about anything I want to boil with little chance of burning. It's made from very solid copper bonded stainless steel with a thick bottom.
Stainless steel looks dirty after a while.
The steamer saucepan part weighs almost 2kg.
The grip that is glued to the handle came unstuck.

Best cookware ever!
We purchased our Esteele cookware about 5 years ago and we have never looked back. In fact they are so great that my mother and several friends have now bought them also. We own a restaurant and so you can say we have some idea about food and cooking and this cookware is definitely the best we have ever used and seen. They are extremely easy to clean (which I didn't expect) and I often just throw them in the dishwasher and they still look like new, even though I have never polished them. As for cooking, the copper base really makes a world of d...Read more
ifference. The heat is distributed much more evenly and if you make sure to use on a lower or medium heat, it is hard to burn the food. They are very solid, high quality and stylish cookware. My only regret is putting up with the crappy old cookware I had and not buying these sooner. Stylish, easy to clean, very durable and high quality. ExpensiveSimilar opinion? Excellent
I changed from Scanpan to this as I was sick of the scanpans pitting and don't get me wrong scanpan are easy to deal with they have no problem honoring their warranty and replacing pots but I got sick of constantly having to replace pots - I went for the best quality stainless I could find available domestically and this was it and I have never looked back! They are expensive and heavy so not for the occasional cook - but if you cook a lot and entertain these are the way to go - Shop around though I still find Peter of Kensington is usually che...Read more

Know better, choose better.
I am very happy with my essteele range although not the lastest.
Although my cookware is not the latest style,I felt the need to make a comment. We were given a set of 3 saucepans for our wedding 42 years ago. We have since added to them making a draw full of various sizes and steamers to match 2 of them. They are copper based and cook beautifully, the odd time I did burn something Which happens to the best of us, I found the essteele cleaner worked beautifully. After years of much use, they clean up very well. The only compliant I would have and it is my fault as I put them in the dishwasher with those tablet...Read more

I have been using my mother-in-law’s 1960’s Essteele saucepan and steamer set. I love them and they’re still in great condition apart from some expected wearing in the handles. My question is about toxicity and safety of saucepans this old. I believe that aluminium is often part of the stainless steel composite in saucepans. I know they have a lifetime warranty for use proper but what about metal leaching? Thanks.

Do the steel handles get hot when cooking on the stove? Currently have the saucepan with the silicone handles and thats nice to work with. Considering the metal handles now but worried about getting burnt when holding the handles while cooking on stove. Any comments are welcome. Thanks

Do your copper bonded stainless steel pots work with induction cooktop?

Yes the copped bottomed pans work very well. You will be surprised how quickly a pan of water heats up - quicker than an electric kettle!
