Good quality and durability so far
These saucepans are really good. They're obviously not made in China quality. The steel is easier to clean than poor quality steel, heats evenly and the long side handles don't burn your hands to touch like they do on cheaper saucepans. Lids are a bit cheap and when I cook rice in the small saucepan some liquid does leak out (only rice though - nothing else does) but overall would strongly recommend and I hope that they last for many years to come. Considering what takeaway meals add up to they are well worth the money if you can afford them.

Beautiful and Functional
I recently bought the 26cm skillet as Myer were heavily discounting them and I thought it would be nice to treat myself to at least one piece of Italian made cookware. Out of the box, the first thing that struck me was how beautiful the pan was, with a satin starburst pattern inside and out. Nice engraving on the bottom. If you like displaying your pans, this is definitely one to hang in the pool room. Being fully clad, the pan is pretty heavy for its size, but it's a reassuring heft. I have a gas stove, but the pan sat flat on my stone bench w...Read more
ithout any wobbles, so it should be fine for electric cooktops. I decided to christen my pan with a hamburger and an egg. It took awhile to heat up, which is expected given the thickness of the material. The hamburger seared with a satisfying sizzle and was nicely browned on the outside with a crispy crust. I then cracked an egg into the hamburger fat and let it cook for a minute or two. It released from the pan pretty easily and I was able to flip it. No it's not as non-stick as teflon or seasoned cast iron, but I was very happy with the way the pan released the food. I think the key to cooking eggs in stainless pans is to ensure the pan is hot and oiled and to not move them immediately, allowing the pan to let go when it is ready. The handle stayed cool throughout the whole cooking process. To clean up, I let the pan cool a bit for a minute then added hot water and a few drops of detergent and let it soak while I ate my hamburger (delicious btw). The residue then came off very easily and the pan cleaned up well. There was a bit of white residue left on the pan which I suspect is calcium from the meat juices. You can get rid of it by wiping with a weak acid like vinegar. It didn't worry me, so I didn't bother. Do not use steel scourers or harsh abrasives on the pan if you want to preserve that pretty starburst finish. Have I told you how beautiful this pan is? I don't bother putting it away and leave it sitting on my stove. I think having a stainless steel skillet casually lying about gives you quite a bit of street cred as a cook.

Brilliant Customer Service
I made an inquiry to Essteele customer service regarding replacement handles for some old Classic saucepans, 20+ years old. As the handles are no longer available Essteele customer service representative Lorraine kindly offered a $375 voucher to help replace my old set. What brilliant and unexpected service. Sad to see the old ones go to waste but looking forward to a nice new set of per Sempre. Quality does remain long after the price is forgotten.

Great pots, hope they last a long time
Love these pots because they are easier to clean than lower quality brands of stainless steel and the side handles don't get as hot as some other brands, without the silicone. They will also work well on induction stoves (I rent, so who knows where I will end up next) whereas the per vita ones will not (copper is not magnetic, so any heat would have to skip over the copper to get to the rest of the pot to cook the food). I still need a pot holder for the lid handles, but there is not a single brand for which that is not true, unless of course t...Read more
hey are covered in silicone. Have read some slightly disturbing reviews about a lot of people's handles coming off after 10 years but hopefully that doesn't happen to me. I would recommend however that you don't make my mistake and get the smaller stockpot - get the larger one. The smaller one is too small for most types of stock.Similar opinion? Excellent product and back up service
We recently bought 3 Esteele Per Sempre pans. We bought the 30 cm skillet and two saucepans. They all perform well. They heat up fast and consistently. The skillet had a slight warp in it and was replaced under warranty with minimum hassle. Look out for when they are on special as they are sometimes 40% reduced.

Looking at buying the Esteele Per Sempre saucepan set to replace my 37 year old esteele set which will not go on Induction cooktop.
Can anyone answer the following?
1. I noticed that the lids do not sit on tightly. Do they rattle whilst cooking?
2. Do the saucepan handles get hot whilst on the cook-top?
Thanks

Hi. The lids don't rattle and the handles don't get hot on the cooktop. The only thing you really need to check is that they are perfectly flat and don't spin on an induction plate. If they do then essteele swap them over no probs but best to check first whilst in the store.
Hi, the lid handles do get very hot on a normal electric glass cook top. Too hot to touch or hold.
Have 2 Esteele saucepans over 40yrs old. Still perfect. Have a 2yr old Per Sempre saucepan the lid and handles definitely get too hot on gas cooker.
