Hi Aldi,
Where are your Estelle mattresses made?
Most mattresses have a 10-year warranty, yours is only one year. Explain why that is so please!
Many thanks

You might be lucky. It went off sale yesterday. Phone your local Aldi and ask.

Go into your nearest Aldi, (as you cannot ring) and ask the manager to find your nearest availability in another store. Atleast thats what I did 2 weeks after the 'Special Buy' release date and I was successful.

Are they any good for hot sleepers

1 answer
Davey
Davey

I'm a hot sleeper and I found that the mattress retains body heat probably due to the memory foam and synthetic cover, so In that respect it didn't work for me but I turned the mattress over, added a Dunlop Gold "egg carton" foam topper and found that I didn't get so hot underneath and still felt comfortable overall.

Do the mattresses fit IKEA bed frames? Some of the sizing seems to be 1-3cm out? But will the fit?

1 answer

No they don't fit they are slightly too small.Best bet is to get an Ikea mattress for the Ikea frame or else buy a cheap frame from Amart or the like instead.

Would anyone recommend this mattress for a 5 year old

1 answer

Sure why not? Little ones can sleep on most anything. However if its too firm (its around 7 out of 10 for firmness ) then a fluffy mattress topper on top of it would solve that issue.

Probably German as most of their products are German. Call the after sales support and ask them 1300 777 137. (I was in Aldi yesterday checking them out and took a photo of the box which included this number).

Me too. I am waiting for their next mattress special, in the hope they'll offer a double size again, instead of just king, queen and single sizes. It sounds like we're both going to be waiting until next year, unfortunately.

I doubt it. After it's been unsealed, it's rather rigid. Seems like a great mattress at first pass. Still airing it out 12 hours after purchase, but it's not as intense as some other "bed it a box" options I've seen up close. Would buy again! :)

Hi Mac there isnt really any way of knowing for sure when the mattresses will show up. You could try calling head office for information but other than that all you can do is keep a look out in the catalogue each week.

Estelle Mattrass in a box... SINGLE size. If used as a spare mattrass, can it be stored on its side during day and then used flat at night...will it go out of shape or is it ok?

1 answer
Jcd
Jcd

Probably not although you could do it in an emergency. Its never a good idea to store a mattress on its side as a regular thing. Foams springs etc inside can move and make the mattress unusable.

How squishy are these mattresses please? I have a supposed queen size timber bed base that a mattress drops down into a recess & the bed base is only 1.49m wide. The catalogue says the QS mattresses are 1.52m wide so I'm just wondering if I'd be able to squish it in or would it be too firm to do that? I have a normal innerspring mattress on the base at the moment which is a tad too wide & it was extremely difficult to squish it in so it sits IN the base which now means I can't tuck the sheets in. I'm hoping that if I bought one of these Aldi ones I'd be able to tuck the sheets in.

1 answer
minkis
minkis

It's not so squishy, about 1cm each side before you hit the springs, should be ok though since I measured mine to be 1.48m on the bottom, the foam topper part extends out a bit more to 1.52m
