Just doesn’t cut it
Very misleading oven, purchased it by looking at a photo online which shows 4 chromes shelves but only got one and a black baking dish. The telescopic runners are fixed and cannot be adjusted so the oven cannot actually fit much inside. Worst of all the oven has a plastic surround on the door and after using the pyro function for the first time has started disintegrate so I can’t use this function which was the whole point of the oven.

Looks good, but doesnt clean well
Got told this was a self cleaning pyro oven but it does not clean well. I have to still use oven cleaner afterwards to get it cleaned up. The telescopic runners are horrid and cannot be adjusted and was not told of this. Waste of money.
Purchased in April 2021.

Broken after 1 year
I have loved this oven which we bought on the 29th December 2018. But today after turning on the oven for preheating, the oven made a clunking noise. After looking at the oven we realised the fan was broken. I am hoping this will be an easy fix and that we have no problems after it is fixed.

Looks good, matches microwave but shelves are poorly designed.
I bought the ET12XL to match the built in microwave. They look stylish together and I like the black colour. Oven is large but the function is ruined by the placing of the telescopic runners which are fixed, so I cant adjust them. There are 5 shelf positions. The runners are placed on number one and three giving you 7 cms of room to cook in. So a roast or or even a pie wont fit as it hits the top of the shelf above it. So the only option is to take the middle shelf out and put your food on the bottom shelf which doesnt have runners and so defeats the purpose. The reason we upgraded to this model is for the telescopic runners. Disappointed, my last oven had adjustable ones.

Hi Karen,
Yes, the telescopic runners are as supplied and are fixed. Even though they are fitted telescopic positions it does not mean they have to be used at the same time. The referred to, middle s... Read more
helf, I assume is a baking pan or chrome rack and are designed to fit on any of the shelf positions. The telescopic runners are an added feature to assist when roasting for basting and in the grill position for turning the food. There are other standard shelf positions that can still be used whilst, say, using the middle telescopic for roasting, to place a pie etc. on other positions. We fully understand and take your point made about being fixed and not adjustable. The negative in adjustable telescopic runners is that they are not so easy to remove nor place back on the side racks. Thanks for the feedback.Thankyou for your reply. Good point. If the middle runner was fitted one row lower it would give you the extra height usually required with a roast, whilst keeping the grill shelf in place for other items.

Good oven but with a few drawbacks.
This oven is stylish and the front super-easy to wipe clean having the touch controls.
It is quite a bit larger internally than the equivalently priced Ariston but with one significant drawback - you can leave the shelves and shelf-runners in place when you pyrolytically clean the Ariston, whereas you have to remove the Euromaid ones (to prevent them melting) and clean them in a sink - which isn't as effective or simple as it sounds.

it as the cooking mode straight after turning it on. To get around it I have to heat up the oven on a baking mode first and then switch to grill, which is time consuming and a little annoying. The gap along the top between the oven and the cabinet that ejects warm air from the cavity behind the oven can get a grimy dusty buildup. Also, the internal area along the bottom hinge is also hard to clean properly. My thermostat isn't 100% accurate and cooks slightly below the selected temperature but this is common in many ovens. It only comes with 2 shelves where in practice I've often needed 3. All things considered though, it was a well priced upgrade for our kitchen that will hopefully see us through many years to come.1 comment

when baking cakes does griller pan and bottom baking pan have to be taken out of oven

Hi, no you can leave them in bit I don't so there is less to clean.
I say take them out because cake setting needs airfan to circulate hot air - the grill tray kind of stops the circulation but won’t ruin the cake or anything- manual
Says it should

Hi there Ive only had my oven for 2days and just wondered when you choose the setting you want and it recommends what shelf to use, are you supposed to remove the other ones or can they be left in place?

My oven light will not switch off after cleaning the oven. I have checked that the door is sealed closed, can't find any switch that might be jammed and have switched the power main off and back on. The funny thing is, that when I select the different oven modes, the light goes off when I get to mode 9 (of 12)! What could be the problem? The oven is only about 6 months old.
