Do not buy! Constant failures
Bought one for a rental property. Within months the elements failed one by one. Service for replacement coils from Euro maid slow. Eventually after lots of fighting Euromaid agreed to replace the whole oven as there had been so many failures. Replacement oven no better. 3 elements failed within 18 months.
Purchased in December 2021.

Utter rubbish!
The hotplates only adjust between very hot and *extremely* hot. Even on the lowest setting, if I take a look under the pot, the hotplate glows red in the centre - this shouldn't be the case for This type of stove! Even with a large, thick-based pot on a small hotplate, it burns soups and stews on the bottom, and absolutely *will not* turn back far enough to simmer (it boils profusely)! I've even tried using a simmer plate between the hotplate and my pots (on the lowest heat setting), but that stuck to the hotplate and damaged it (took some of t...Read more
he coating off the hotplate, and transferred some of the heat-resistant coating from the simmer mat to the hotplate, and it *won't* come off). I've put up with it for long enough, but now that the simmer mat incident has happened, it's time to make sure others don't buy the same piece of rubbish! Also, the enamel surface around the hotplate gets *very* hot, baking spills on very quickly, requiring harsh chemicals to clean it off. This stove is absolute rubbish! I'd give it zero stars if ieatwords would let me!Purchased in June 2021.

Not great... :(
Works well and looks smart but with 3 years we have had two serious issues. The first was an electrical issue which took several phone calls to rectify but eventually got done.
The second was the griller glass door which exploded!! The Good Guys claim it's cosmetic - seriously!! Quite a few other people have reported the same thing so surely it must be a manufacturing fault.
Have now approached Euromaid direct to try to resolve the matter.
Thumbs down The "Good" Guys !! Not great customer service at all.

CoolTouch
Have been looking for an oven that has a cool touch glass on the door. This is it !!, nice compact oven with fan forced, radiant coils that let you see when its on, I get burnt so often with solid plates. Great economical oven.

Small but functional
We had trouble from the start with our previous oven. This one has made cooking a joy. The hot plates heat quickly and then are stable, the oven is reliable to cook meals in the expected time. Until we changed ovens we didn’t realise how important a reliable oven is. The grill function works.

Works alot better than our 25 year old 1 did
Very very good chip cooker i do a great roast in it lol. It does heat up the house alot but that is something i can live with . 1 problem the hot plates take a long time to cool but they do heat up fast which is a bonus. The oven works great and cooks food evenly. I like it although it is electric.

Goes well Good VFM
So far so good. Cooks better cakes than the previous gas oven (Westinghouse) according to the chief cook. Pork crackles up. Roast Ba Ba is moist and evenly cooked and it Heats up pies & chips. What more could you ask for!. The Good Guys are "Good Guys" a very helpful business

Dangerous stove
Had this stove for 2 years and it has been nothing but trouble. The grill is too small, small elements couldn't boil water if their life depended on it and I keep finding small screws inside the griller. To top that off, on Saturday night when serving dinner; the griller door exploded, showering glass all over the kitchen and dinner. Harvey Norman and Euromaid have been of no help. Jeff

Definitely a Good Oven!
Purchased one a few months ago - excellent purchase, cooks well, grill works great, the non slip trivets are brilliant. No more sliding pots and pans on the cooktop when cooking with oil.
The oven is fan forced and works well, I don't go crazy full on chef cooking but for roast veggies, a cake and my pizza it does the job!

Disappointing - do not purchase this stove
The first stove was electric in a gas labelled box. Second stove had faulty enamelling. Third stove the delivery guys scratched our timber floor and I am waiting for action to rectify from one month ago. In terms of the stove in the user manual it lists a baking tray (No 7) which was not supplied. The display stove at the Good Guys also didn't have the baking tray. The video is misleading in that it shows two shelves. I am also disappointed with the hot air that blows out the front of the stove. It is actually really uncomfortable and hard to stand in front of the stove to cook anything on the top if the oven is on. I am disappointed in myself for not having gone to this website and read the reviews prior to purchasing this stove.

Good Cooking Stove
Purchased one 2 months ago and have been really happy with it. Cooks relatively evenly for a gas oven, I have never had a gas oven that cooks perfectly evenly but this one does ok. Cooktop burners cook well and give out enough power when needed. The oven does let out some warm heat from the cooling fan which I found out is normal for most european made ovens so the cooktop doesn't burn you from the excess heat.

Takes forever to warm up
Bought the product at the good guys but it takes forever to heat up. Can Euromaid do something for the customer before it lost its reputation in Australia. We have just had it installed for 2 days but comparing to our olld but working well westing house it is a piece of oven which should not be released to the market.

Wost oven ever!!!!
Takes forever for both oven and elements to heat up or cool down. Elements will not turn down so cant simmer or cook on low! Even 10 minutes of using oven means 30 minutes to cool down so noisy! Worried what 1st electricity account will be! Hate using it so much!

Model GG54RRW Gass exploded
Absolutely disgusted in your customer care department! My elderly parents have the GG54RW oven which is only 11mths. In the middle of the night 3am the glass on the griller door exploded. My Mum rang customer care for help & said she wanted the whole oven replaced if it's going to explode for no reason! She was spoken to with no respect & it's now 10days later & the glass still hasn't been replaced..... this is not acceptable!!

Euromaid GG54SSW Stove - Very, very slow to heat up
We bought a Euromaid GG54SSW. It's a nice looking stove but it takes forever to heat up. We replaced an Electrolux Chef stove that heated up reasonably quickly but this one is so slow that when visitors are cooking they ask if there is something wrong with the stove. My son who cooks the same thing for breakfast every day says the difference between the old and the new stove is that the new stove takes three times longer to heat up. The old stove had the same type of solid hotplate as the new stove. Unless there is something wrong with our particular stove, and the comments here look as though they all have the same slow heating problem, I would suggest that anyone looking to buy a new stove picks another brand.

Rubbish
So very unhappy. Stove blowes hot air through vents which is uncomfortable and dangerous. Tech came and looked said it was not good but Home Appliances says it is normal. How can
this be when you can fell the heat up to 60cm from oven. Can stand in front and cook say a stirfry.
Am very disappointed.

Worst ever
We bought a Euromaid freestanding stove GG54SSW about 2 months ago from the Good Guys
Have resisted writing review so far but really had enough now.
It is the worst we have ever had:
1. it takes forever to heat up the plates from cold, anything up to 15 minutes.
It takes even longer for the plates to cool down: up to 40 minutes for it to be cool to the touch!
Yes the plate stays warm for 40 minutes after you have turned it off!
Very dangerous.
2. All knobs have 6 heat settings but they only give you 2 heats: either very high or very low with nothing in between, no matter what setting you use.
Absolutely no help from Euromaid who really could not care less.

I am a Maintenance Manager at a school in Perth and was looking at this oven as it has thermocouplers to prevent gas leaking if kids mess with dial and try turning on, but I have reservations especially after the number of reports of front glass of oven exploding. Has the manufacturer fixed this issue?

Hi Greg.
I had this happen at one of our rental properties and with respect I don't know how & why it happened, only told by the tenant that the glass shattered whilst cooking a meal.
I have not heard anything further about this issue, however the manufacturer was kind enough to replace the entire unit after the incident.

Hi Greg,
mine is an electric oven, so not sure about the gas model. How ever as to the glass shattering, that's a new one on me, I would suggest contacting the company and enquire with them as to this.
regards,
Vic
Mitch H.Euromaid
Hi Greg,
oven glass shattering is very rare, there can be a number of reasons why glass would shatter but please keep in mind there was never a glass shattering problem, if your glass was to ever shatter we would certainly assist as above anyway.
Hope you do purchase our model as its a great oven :)
