Will not work
Purchased 2 years and 2 months ago. Have literally used this fridge once on my rear patio. Has been stored wrapped up since. You only have to see the condition of this fridge and you can tell it is brand new, however now it will not work, When on 12v it shows and error code (low voltage) the battery shows 12.8 volts. When plugged into 240v it shows a different error code (compressor or module error). Rang Evakool knowing full well that the warranty period is up, but thought they might be able to offer some ideas on the matter. The ONLY advice I received was, " take it to an agent for repair which I would have to pay for"

pense), and courier it back (at my expense) However that's more money spent. I asked if I could drive over and have it looked at whilst I waited to save some money. I was informed that I could not have it looked at in the single day, But I could drop it off and they would courier it back to me, (at my expense.) Which ever way I go it is going to cost me more money than it`s probably worth. I am still perplexed at what could have gone wrong with a fridge that has literally has only been used once and now has a compressor issue. I will take it to our local (your agent) fixit man "Kingaroy refrigeration" and make a decision from there? Should have bought an Engel. Thanks for your reply.

No support for warranty
Warranty not honoured by company. Negative customer experience from dealing with [name removed] warranty manager. Place of purchase being Supercheap Auto honoured warranty at their expense. Great fridge, keeps beer extra cold, love the drawer. No after sales service received.
Purchased in March 2021 for A$1,200.00.

Bad service poor warranty
I had a defective finish on the lid of my fridge and
when I spoke to Tracy at evakool she said it is not a warranty claim.
I took it back to supercheap and they did fix the problem at their costs.
Supercheap said there was a problem with the lid and it should have been evakool warranty issue.
Not happy at all with evakool not standing by there product,very poor.
One week later the control panel face just fell off.
I contacted Tracy at evakool once again but she really didn't want to have anything to do with this warranty claim as well.
She replied "just get some super glue and glue it up".
Really no warranty with evakool at all.
I suggest if you are looking for a fridge spend a little more and get a better fridge with a real warranty....Read more

Works well .but no good tie down points
I got the ridge ryder a couple of years ago and it does work well as a fridge or freezer .my only issue is tying it down.the handles are rivnutted on to thin plate and not strong enough to keep a full fridge secure when off roading.i would not buy another

Hello, I am chasing info on my 63 litre fridge, When plugged into 12v it shows an error code of ( low voltage), battery shows 12.8 volts. When plugged into 240v it shows a different error code (compressor or module error) Manufacture (Evakool) offer me zero insight into this unit other than it`s out of warranty.
It is two months out of warranty and has only been used ONCE on my rear deck.

What wattage/ amperage do they run on?

I tested on battery at 13 6 volts. Draws 4.5 amps and 5.5amps on turbo mode. That will go up a bit as battery voltage drops . Bit better than a Waeco of same size for power consumption
