Looks great and I like it, but a few practicalities I don’t love
I bought two fanaway Evora’s last year. They look great and I do like them. What I don’t love is that they are quite noisy when you turn the fan off and the blades shut away with a BANG - this isn’t great in the middle of the night when people are sleeping.
Also the lowest setting is still quite fast - probably because the blades use centrifugal force to open. It’s too strong when you just want some light airflow in the room.
Purchased at Beacon Lighting.

I will not buy another
I purchased two of these fans in 2017. Last year the light in my daughter's room started playing up - turning itself off and has now not worked at all for the last 2 months. The fan is fine - but it does not get used very much.
My electrician says it's the transformer, but when he tried to get a replacement has been told that replacement parts are no longer supplied for this product. He was offered another new fan at half price. They must be joking! Why would I purchase another of these?
Purchased in March 2021 at Beacon Lighting Physical store for $499.00.

Blades snapped off.
At first I loved this fan, we purchased 2 of them they looked and worked wonderful.
Yesterday however the fan blades just snapped off and catapulted through the air near missing my husband and myself.
What is more disappointing is beacons response, 'this is a good fan and that the reviews are not the norm' and hasn't happened often'. Really Beacon, that's your response? Terrible, it shouldn't happen once let alone many many reviews I read of happening all the time, is it going to take a serious injury before this fan is recalled? Will never recommend this fan or business to anyone ever again!
Purchased in February 2021 at Beacon Lighting for $500.00.

Hazardous product. It should be recalled!
This is the second such occurrence, in a separate fan of different room, also a fanaway evo1 prevail.
The blade of the fan snapped off the fan and came flying off at a high speed. It dented and left some marks on our walls. It almost hit my husband who was sitting directly below.
Upon researching online, seems like other consumers have had similar near missed events from the same model.
This fan is extremely dangerous. Please do not get it. It should be recalled.

Dangerous Fanaway blade braking off.
I was sitting with my family under my older fanaway ceiling fan when a blade broke off and landed on the floor after hitting and damaging the wall and the dinner table - missing my brothers arm by about 10cm. Contacted our local Beacon Lighting store and told that it would be out of warranty.
Obviously, the warranty is not the main issue, but the fact that it went hurtling through the room - very dangerous indeed. Also we have others in our home and I would be mortified if someone was hurt. Regardless whether it is an older fan it was obviousl...Read more

Avoid buying - defected product - waste of money - too many problems.
Have 5 fanaways installed in my house, occupied by 2 adults. Product is expensive in comparison to other fans. Have had issues with remotes, receivers, bulbs and all timely after warranty has expired. Casing of light has turned yellow for two, fans or light or both not working on others. Remotes can turn on light/fan in another room. Beacon sent a technician few years back and advised receivers are cheap and won't last and will continue to have problems and guess what he is right. e fans altogether. Out of hope that Beacon would come good, contacted them again - noting that the product is are well out of warranty. After a lot of to/fro, they offered to provide an electrician to come out however if found to be "serviceable parts" then I would have to pay for the electrician and the parts. Not explained is that this product has many serviceable parts that need constant replacing/fixing. Bulbs blow shortly after replacement, Remote receivers go and you have to purchase a whole new remote, the casing ...well not sure what has to occur to fix the it now being yellow. You continuously spend when you have this product. I have had issues with all 5 of the fanaways - different issues. Really don't waste your money, just get normal fan/lights which have a good track record and will last. Otherwise most likely in a few years time, you will be writing such a review as I am now. My Fanaways are going to the dump as that is all they are good for. Reluctantly I have to purchase new ones.Purchased in August 2021.

ment of electrician and items to be replaced. This is a short term fix and not an ultimate fix. Bearing in mind you sent a technician last time and they advised product will continue to have issues. If I am going to pay for an electrician it will be to replace these defective products with a product that is reliable. I have wasted enough money on these fans and getting them to operate correctly. The maintenance of these products is beyond normal and you aren't advising this to consumers upfront. The fact is for many years I have had to deal with replacing items only for them to work for a short period of time and then they don't function one way or another - remotes, receivers and bulbs. Terrible, numerous faults
I have 4 fans, they all initially operated wonderfully, but within a short time the fans had started to slow and I had to replace recievers, then ballasts, one has turned yellow. Currently all 4 fans only operate at two speeds, Slow and Very Slow...!, I have persisted for 3-4 years but they are heading to the dump, the prettiest but most unreliable ceiling fan I have ever known or owned. Waste of money
Installed 4 Fanaways in October 2014 had one fans blades fly off into a cupboard and dent it, one where you have to physically spin the fan for it to work and another which when the fan was turned on sparked and blew up. I am absolutely applauded with this product and would never have bought them if we knew when purchasing that if something was to go wrong we would have to replace the whole fan as apparently you can’t replace the fan motor in them. For the money you pay for them you would expect them to last longer than 4 years and have replacement parts. Absolutely waste of money

Watch out! Hazardous fan
The fan was switched on and operating in my four year old daughter’s room when all of a sudden there was a loud noise. The blade then snapped off the fan and came flying off at a high speed. It collided with a lamp in my daughter’s room and then hit her on the face. She sustained some red marking and bruising, which we have photos of. Not Happy at all
I have had these fans for plus or minus 4 years. They stopped working suddenly this past Dec the blades don't open although the fan is running. I called customer service and they offered to send a technician to assess and possibly replace product. Only to be gutted after being told to pretty much put them in the bin as they are a deleted item and go back to the store to buy new ones and get their technician to come and instal them for a fee. The manager could not spare a minute to speak to me. I don't think it's fair treatment at all. I don't think I will recommend these at all. If anyone can assist me what sould i do . I thank you in advance.

Expensive and poorly made product
Fan cost around $650 with controller not including installation cost. Hard to believe 3-4 times the cost of the most expensive other ceiling fans on the market.
Light cover went yellow after 1-2 years. Unable to sleep with noisy operation.
Fan speeds not fast enough on setting one to open blades.
Faster on setting 2 than 3.
Thinking of upgrading to a $100 Dc silent fan from Aldi.

We have 5 Evo2 Endure fans through our home, all installed by a licensed electrician. Diffuser turns yellow!
Would not recommend this fan as per other reviews, after a few years the diffuser turns urine yellow in colour but besides that the fan is okay - just disappointed in the colour change for such an expensive product too. I think there's a lack of UV stabiliser in the product which causes it to turn yellow over time. Tried contacting them and their response was to buy a new diffuser, sad that the diffuser won't even last a few years without discolouration for such an expensive product - pretty sure it goes against the ACC's Consumer rights & guarantees. Would highly suggest anyone with similar problems lodge an ACC instead of their solution of "buying a new diffuser". Disappointed!

Fanaway not safe
I have 3 fanaway EV01 prevails in my house and the one in my youngest son's room started making a little noise. About 2 months later the fan blades went flying off and luckily nobody was in the room because they damaged the wall at one collision point. Very dangerous and only 2 years old. Went to Beacon and told them but just got a sorry. I ended up having to buy the new model as a replacement and didn't even get a discount. I have not been too impressed with Beacon's products or the attitude of the Melville branch manager.

Kris Oasked
Hi twice now I have purchased new remotes as the light section works but the fan does not. This solved the problem for a short time but now again I have bought two more remotes (more than $380 in remotes) to find I have the same issue as many other people here. It’s light on and full fan or off at the wall and no light.so either I am freezing or I am in the dark. New remotes work perfectly in the other rooms, so I know it’s the actual fan that is the issue. We are using a torch now in our bedroom. Our fans are about six years old now. How can I solve this problem. Is there a way to disable the fan?? So I’m not in the dark at night
