My Dogs love it
My Dogs don't usually want to eat dry dog food from the supermarket but they clearly enjoyed this product. No digestive issues with sudden change of diet. Also appears to be much more wholesome compared to other brands that look like compacted sawdust. I don't feel guilty feeding substandard food to my dogs any more.
Purchased in January 2021 at Woolworths Online store for A$35.00.

One dog has died and another sick.
Firstly, I’m not directly blaming Farmer’s Market. Without an autopsy. I don’t know what has caused the dog’s death. It’s very unfortunate because I was looking after a friend’s Staffy whilst he is away over Christmas/New Year.
The facts are these: Owner switched brands to Farmer’s Market. It was on special and he bought several large bags. Dog developed a cough but we did not associate it with the dog food. Owner suspected heart worm. Heart worm test negative. Owner declined lung x ray and opted for a 7 day course of steroids. Dog ate more d...Read more
ry dog food and was drinking more and cough went away. When steroids were ceased cough returned but not as bad. The dog was listless, no energy and developed diarrhoea. Began refusing dry dog food. I fed him chicken etc (no bones) to get him eating something. He started eating the dry dog food again and ate his evening meal. He was ok in the morning and went outside to toilet. Came back in and lay down at the end of his owner’s bed. When I checked on him in the afternoon he was still there... dead. I haven’t had a chance to shop and ran out of my regular dog food so I fed my border collie Farmer’s Market... from a freshly opened bag and within 10 minutes he had regurgitated it back up, was laying down drooling and panting heavily. He also kept going back and forth to the water bowl to drink. So now I’m suspecting the dog food is doing this. The two other dogs here are fine and not eating Farmers Market.

This brand needs to be investigated
Bought it because it was on special. My small dog has had extreme runny stools. Makes him very listless and sick. Happens every time he eats this brand at first I thought it was a coincidence but it has happened twice now.
Purchased in November 2021 at Woolworths.

Good dog food but low fiber?
Been feeding my labrador Farmers Market for more than 3yrs. She's always getting compliments from her vets with her great teeth and her shiny coat. Unfortunately, she's been scooting for the past 6 months. Not sure if her impacted anal glands was an effect of the dog food. Still feeding Farmers Market to her, but with a teaspoon of flaxseed every meal to increase fiber content.

My dog loves it
After doing a bit of research, I found that this was one of the best rated dry dog food that was a reasonable price. I buy up big when it's on special at either Woolworths or Coles and that helps the budget. I do mix a small amount of meat in with it for a change.

Very Happy
My dog is very fussy, but she will begrudgingly eat this.
Since changing her to Farmers Market Im very happy as she finally looks healthy again after appearing supper skinny for ages.
She eats all her food and I’ve not noticed a change to her poo.
Purchased in April 2021 at Woolworths for A$20.00.

Staple and my dog loves it!
My dog loves this food and I have been consistently feeding him this and the chicken alternative for over the past 6 months. I believe for the price point (often on sale 50% off at Woolworths) and being a supermarket brand it does well!

Gross. Throwing it in the bin
So how much salt is in this stuff? My dog has been to his water bowl 4 times since eating this stuff for dinner. Throwing the rest in the bin.

Farmers market small breed dry
I wish my dogs would eat this but they don't like it....noses turned up and walked away. Have tried several times to feed this to them. I like that this is a small breed option and the size of the Kibble pieces is more suited to their mouths. This is a far better option then most supermarket dry dog foods and I would probably recommend to someone to feed this if they were insisting on a supermarket brand of dog food. Same with the normal sized Adult bags of Farmers Market.
Purchased in January 2021 at Coles for A$19.00.

Allergic reaction caused dermatitis
I’m a dog sitter and this is the second time this food has caused allergic dermatitis to our clients dogs. I care a lot about our visitors and it’s frustrating to see this allergic reaction to a brand of dog food we’re given to feed to them.

dangerous to dogs
transitioned our dogs slowly onto farmers market chicken and veg. Both dogs began to get sloppy pale pasty coloured motions, which turned into diarrhoea after fully transitioning to farmers market. Our shitzu x poodle actually had blood in their watery motions, and actually took him to the vet. He was very listless and seemingly 'sick", was so very worried. Took him off the food and after three days he was doing better. I still have over 3/4 of a large bag which I will not use, even though I paid $26 for it. Im sorry but this food is downright dangerous for dogs.
