Budget Pay TV
Great service and great support However annoying when channel owners do deals overseas and change viewing options available in some channel packs and remove favorite channels from service. Since NBN with Fetch service has been ok but some lagging

Cheap rubbish.
Its mildly functional, media hub is clunky and does not support subtitles. Streaming via wifi 40cm away from the wireless adapter is hit and miss. Get an Nvidia Shield instead.

Fetch box mini and IInet
Fetch Box and Iinet
I am writing this review for people to be aware
I received my Fetch box through Iinet 24 months for free and I paid money at the beginning for the box. I asked at the time what happens to the box if I cancel fetch tv, I was told from Iinet the box is mine so I keep it.
In this period I didnt really use the Fetch only for the catch up tv apps. As I was coming to the end of my free 24 month period I emailed Iinet to find out how much it would cost if I only wanted to access the free to air apps. I did not view Fetch's channels...Read more

Great if its included from your ISP for free.
Finally received my second Fetch box. This one works. Easy to use. Easy to set up. Mini cant record and can only pause for 15 mins.
Great if its included from your ISP for free.
Original review:
On initial startup Fetch Mini worked great for 15 minutes. After turning it off it never worked again. As my ISP supplied it and now all of their call centres and Tech support have shut down due to COVID-19 I am paying for junk I cant do anything about.
DO NOT GET FETCH TV. There is NO TECH Support for it at all.
Worst product I have ever had the miss-pleasure of owning.

Excellent service
My fetch TV remote, had become difficult to operate, in selecting channels. I called to see what assist could be given. The operate following my explanation, proceed without question to post a new replacement remote. This arrive in the time specified, and I found that my previous remote was fault. I am now again enjoying fetch TV uninterrupted, with thanks and appreciation

No phone support
My Fetch mini was working great, but now has suddenly decided to stop connecting to the internet after just six months or so since I purchased it, even tho everything else in the house that's connected is working just fine. But Fetch does not have a phone number for support! You will have to go thru a maze of FAQ's and diagnostic tests to try to sus out the problem for yourself, which I'm convinced is a faulty box anyway. So basically you have to do all the work yourself to try to nut out the problem. Well I have spent a lot of time doing every...Read more
thing they say on their website and still no joy. So I rang the retailer, and he said to check in 'my account' on the Fetch website, and send a request for a replacement under warranty, but I don't see a link for that. This company should have a phone number where any issues could be easily dealt with by simply talking to a PERSON!! So I would suggest that you save yourself the hassle and inconvenience you'll have if it stops working, and then trying to get it fixed, and buy something else!Purchased in June 2021 at Harvey Norman for A$153.00.

Handy connection for second television
Easy to use set top box which connects two televisions. It enables to get apps including netflix, stan, you tube catch up television and movie package but you need to pay and free to air channels. It works effectively but means you need two remotes which can be tricky if you are tecnophobic. You can't rewind what you have on to watch back, but can pause for fifteen minutes. Easily connects to fetch mighty and allows you to watch shows recorded on fetch mighty. We have had no trouble with transmission at all.

It's good when it works (which is seldom)
I love Fetch mini BUT it spends most days not working. Every update stalls and stops running. Trying to reboot is useless. After 2 or 3 days it comes back on, all by itself. Lasts for about a week, then another update stalls and no Fetch for another 2 or 3 days.

Fetch Mini is Mighty!
Love this product as it really does work. Turned my old flat screen Sony Bravia TV into a Smart TV and can watch Catch Up, Netflix, Stan etc. As long as you have WiFi which I have unlimited data so I dont have to worry about how much I watch. The Fetch mini is small and unobtrusive but works, I believe, as well as the large Fetch box but its $100s of dollars cheaper. Highly recommend.

fetch tv mini is poorly made
I can't use my computer at the same time as I am using fetch even over Ethernet u get a weak signal from the fetch device. I don't have that issue with Telstra tv WiFi or Ethernet. Its so expensive their proprietary hardware at $169 outright. If you want fetch tv mini in another room its $338 for the 2 of them outright. the apps section is awful YouTube Netflix Stan no WWE Network no Spotify no Amazon prime video the remote is so generic & its too big.

Limited Functionality
The fact you cannot add other streaming service apps eg Amazon Prime and Kayo makes this box worthless.
There are much better products out there that can do the job much better than this out-dated device. Do not waste your money.

What happened to channel 10
I like fetch mini I won’t go back to Foxtel. One small problem I can get every channel but channel 10 and it’s off spin channels like 10 peach etc.

Box died within a few years
Box is cactus within a couple of years. Paid $450. Never buy one agin. Had to reboot box every couple of months even tho internet runs perfectly. Personally my earlier cheaper set top box was money well spent.

Fantastic
Very easy to use and this product saved me buying a new TV. I turn the old TV into a Smart TV for the kids so they stay out of the main lounge and I can contain the mess

So happy to have Fetch TV
This product has great features such as Netflix, Catch Up TV, Movie Box and Movies for hire. It performs well when applying different settings. It is usually reliable however at times it will stop a segment of a show/movie and play a few seconds of a part of the show/movie that was rewound, then start from where it stopped. It is not as easy to navigate as the Telstra TV box but it takes a bit to get used to the different ways to navigate.

Not worth it
I don't think I will continue with this most of the programs on TV aren't on catch up so if you don't watch them live you miss them. Very disappointing

Can I hook my hard drive up to fetch mini so I can record the same way I do now with my Foxtel? It would save me buying the more expensive Mighty?
1 answer
I have both Mighty and Mini. Setting a recording on the mini is actually setting it on the mighty via software and wifi.
I just did a quick check of the manual and it only refers to ‘playing movies...music using the USB’.
Suggest you check their website manual or contact them directly to be sure.
My guess is... no.

Just bought a brand new Fetch Mini, it takes over 10 minutes to start every time, then doesn’t automatically connect to the wifi, & have to put in password every time, then sometimes connect to Netflix then other days it doesn’t, not sure if I got a faulty one or not, does anyone else have this problem???
2 answers
They can be temperamental initially. You can contact Fetch directly or realistically, based on startup delay, return the unit as faulty.
Ok thank you, yes I went to JBHIFi where I bought it & they said the same to return it with 90 days as it’s new & no questions asked. So thank you as tried to get into Fetch no success or reply to emails x
