take your money then never contact you again
first our course was already in the pipeline to be superceded when we enrolled. then we were told that as per the previous emails they had sent (which they never did) our course would be shutting in a week and so any units in progress had to be completed by then and we would be enrolled in the new courses.
then we were enrolled in courses which required you to get your employer to help you with assignments (yeah right and what if you dont work in the field?) and also spend hours and hours recruiting friends to produce mock meeting videos for a...Read more
ssessment. why wasnt this a virtual setup by the college? after arguing about how poor this was, they eventually said "oh you're enrolled in the wrong course" and switched us to another course after we had already spent time on what was now our second course. our clock was set back to a year to do the course the learning materials are a shambles and do not provide the answers to the questions in the assessment, and many questions made no logical sense. we abandoned ship on the PM diploma almost immediately because the course was so poorly written. After struggling through a few units of the leadership and management diploma we abandoned that too. We both have postgrad degrees through university training, so it's not like we are stupid people who just couldnt get basic questions, they were just appalling! we were never contacted by any trainer except to score our assessments. there was no contact to ask why we weren't logging in or progressing. and even after over a year since our enrolment lapsed there has been no contact and no certificates provided for the units we did complete do not give these people your money. they will take it and give nothing back. also their "testimonials" seem to be mostly from employees listed on zoominfo.Similar opinion? Best of the bunch
My company asked me to do multiple courses in the last year and i had to deal with several educators over that time. FIRST CHOICE college taught the double diploma i needed and so i signed up and they're just a really great mob. Firstly there course content - it is colourful and easy to follow. They dont treat you like a brainiac but also dont treat you like an idiot. My teacher was so kind and concerned with my goals even though it was online couldn't get a better experience face to face i dont reckon. appreciate everything FIRST CHOICE college!

Perfect online training
Unlike many RTOs that leave students to do their 'contact hours' mostly self-access online learning with crappy resources, First Choice College is perfectly organized, e-learning resources are clear and easy to follow, leading you to face assessments with everything you need and above all, you do learn at your own pace. Staff are really polite, professional and quick to respond and assist.

Customer service thumbs-up!
I have enquired with multiple online RTO's and the speed and quality of customer service provided by Kylie has been unparalleled; going so far as to provide recommendations and advice which has proven very helpful. I've not yet enrolled in any training, but when I do it will be with First Choice College thanks to their great customer service.

Perfect solution
The whole experience was challenging whilst being very rewarding. At 51 it was a real challenge to undertake part-time study whilst working full time managing a large operational facility. In saying that I found that it was made so much easier by the support provided from both Lisa and Kylie throughout the entire program. I have had no hesitation in recommending First Choice to both friends and work colleagues as a direct result of their support.
All the best to you both, thanks again and keep "Living the Dream"

Good Training
Email responses are detailed but can sometimes be slow on return on answers.
Phoning them was the best method both Michael and Jacob were really good at explaining and describing more then once.
All staff were very friendly and very helpful.
The overall contents needs to rewritten to be read better and understood more simpler other then that and having to research and ask a lot of question.
Marking can be slow but resubmits are explained very well.
Takes a bit to receive your certificate processing but it is so good when you do.

Diploma of Project Management
Hey ieatwords users,
I wanted to review this RTO as I have recently completed my Diploma of Project Management with them. They are really professional and treat you with respect, something I felt from speaking to multiple employees within First Choice. I'm not the best learner and needed additional assistance and my teacher was more than happy to give me help when I needed it. I cannot thank them enough, honestly.
Thanks First Choice Training

Just completed my Diploma of Leadership and Management
Hey First Choice ^_^
Just wanted to thank Lisa for helping me through my Diploma of Leadership and Management. I didn’t think I’d be able to do a diploma but once I signed up, it was such a relief to find how straightforward the course was. If you’re looking to do your Diploma of Leadership and Management make sure you ask for Lisa as your trainer! Their text books are very informative but when I was stuck I just spoke to Lisa and she directed me to the right resources and explained stuff to me.
Thanks guys ^_^

This RTO is 100% based in Australia and have super qualified trainers (at least the ones I dealt with anyway). Whenever I was stuck and needed some extra support they were all too happy to assist me however they could. They make it their goal to give you a great learning experience, which is so refreshing. That was my experience with the Diploma of Project Management :)

Requesting Proof of Course Completion
Combining a thank you message here with advice for anyone reading. If you lose your certificate, you can call First Choice and they’ll organise you a replacement. Do not listen to other providers who say you have to redo a course with them instead. Just call whoever you did a course through and they’ll print you another one and send it to you. Also, your potential employer can call the RTO and get proof on the spot.
I finished my TAE40110 with First Choice and needed the information to upgrade to the TAE40116, thanks guys for getting me that information as quick as you did. Shame you don’t offer the TAE40116, you really should.

i finished my tae40110 with you guys before it got changed
hi first choice, i was on here thanking the company that did my upgrade and wanted to say thanks to you guys as well. last year i finished my tae40110 with you guys before the upgrade was released and really enjoyed my time studying with you. i had the most helpful trainer and i learned a lot from your course. you were fair priced and when i submitted units you returned them marked very quickly. i only gave you 4 stars because the resources were not as good as the company i did my tae40116 with but i would recommend you to anyone look at doing any of your other courses.

Bad courses, bad information.
I have had a horrible experience with First Choice Training. I was looking to complete the new WHS course (hold the older OHS) and was told I would receive RPL when I called. After paying my money I found that there would be NO RPL and that I would need to complete the course in full. Apparently the lady I spoke to prior to payment was misinformed about how RPL works (why call them a course information officer if they dont know the course?). If that was the case then I expected a refund, no harm no foul. But apparently not getting RPL was becau...Read more
se 'I' misinterpreted the information given to me (the lie I was told) is not grounds for a refund. Well I dont have time to do the full course and am now out of pocket hundreds of dollars. Thanks guys. We will see if your argument holds up with fair trade.1 comment

Hey guys, thanks for helping me out. For everyone else, I wasn’t too sure about what doing a course would involve so I called first choice training and they put me through to someone who explained everything to me. Cost, studying, everything. Treated me with respect and was very understanding.

Laptop friendly
I’m using my laptop to complete my Cert IV Workplace Health & Safety and was worried it wouldn’t be compatible which initially worried me. Enrolled any way and found it really laptop-friendly. Even with a touch pad. I know this probably seems silly to post about but the last time I tried to enrol with an online company the material was atrocious considering. Pottering my way through now and so far so good, the assessment items are nice and easy to follow.

friendly and honest
Their trainers are super friendly, honest and helpful. They give great positive advice when you do something well and constructive criticism when you need to improve stuff. Also, when they say your work will be returned within a certain number of days I’ve found it to be within 24 hours.

Current student, have some suggestions
Hi. I'm a student with your university and have a couple of suggestions. You have a few areas that double up (might be a trend with university material?) that you should shorten. Have messaged my assessor with my thoughts but happy to chat through here too! Overall I'm having a great learning experience with First Choice though so thanks!

Diploma of Project Management
I have recently signed up for the Diploma of Project Management and so far I’m very happy with everything. The resources are modern, my trainer is great (and Australian, I was worried that they outsourced their staff like a lot of other RTOs seem to do these days) and I feel like I’m actually learning something. Danke First Choice!

Webinars :D
Just completed my Cert IV in WHS and I’m 100% satisfied with First Choice, both as a company and the trainer assigned to me. Competitive prices, an easy to use portal, LOADS of help (Webinars, forums) – and the price was the lowest I could see online. I would highly recommend this RTO.

Hi - I am interested in enrolling in a double diploma course at FCC. Can anyone tell me if the Admin fee ($275) and individual unit fees ($265) are all inclusive in the total course fees or will these fees be extra after I enroll? Would like to know before I enroll.

Interested in current and past students experiences with the amount of time First Choice takes to respond to you and mark assessments? Someone made a comment in Oct 17 and didn't get a reply for 7 months!

Did 2 Diplomas with them and got absolutely all units marked within 2 weeks. Admin staff always replied within 24 hours.

Hi, I have been enrolled and studying a CERT IV. due to several professional and personal circumstances I have ha to request an extension as I have 1 unit remaining (3 modules) due and it is not possible to complete prior to the 6 month period. the email I received declined my request, First Choice is not taking anymore students for that training program. Are there any other ways to have this course extended as I don't want to fail the Cert IV?
Thanks Jason

tunity for you to clarify your individual circumstances as well as our position. Our position is that our Course Information Officers are required to never guarantee RPL as it is up to the qualified trainer to make the official decision. Further, they strongly suggest reviewing the RPL Application Kit prior to enrolling. If an information pack was requested prior to enrolment, the RPL Application Kit would have been attached to the email.
