Faulty Tests!

published

FRER use to be number one on the market!! Not sure why they are giving false positives. I bought a pack of 6+1 ...( trying to conceive later down the track) I know I'm not pregnant as I'm not trying but just wanted to try them out after hearing from a friend she had a false positive? And to my surprise I had a faint positive within 1 minute?! I then used clear blue and it was negative! Did the same thing the next day. FRER giving False positives. So far I've found 3 out of the 7 pack had faint PINK lines. Usually indent/evap lines are Grey in colour. The fact it was pink threw me completely off!

False results

published

I have used this product about 3-4 times, it never says I am pregnant when I really was and HCG levels were clearly rising. Waste of money. And it's so expensive when you buy it, you expect it to give atleast true results. It's better to use the other pregnancy tests which are more reliable and accurate.

Waste of money.

published

I have used this product about 50 times, over three months because they continuously give u a positive result and then I’ll get my period... I this time I actually went to the doctor and took the 4 tests in they done blood work and nope not pregnant. Seriously at the price you charge you should be more reliable people are hoping so bad for a baby and these tests just give them false sense of hope!

Early Detection at 10dpo

published

I have used these products 5 times currently. Twice to confirm I was not pregnant, and three times to confirm that I was pregnant, and each time, they were correct.

I used mine at 10dpo, and the second line literally appeared with the control line. Thinking it might be false positive as many people have indicated on here, I decided to try again the next day, it appeared even darker, and used 2 other different brands. Both were positive.

I hope that they resolved their false positive problem, as these tests are not cheap, and making us buy another test to confirm against this to ensure we are not celebrating too early.

But for other ladies, this has worked for me and I am hoping their newer batches don't have this issue.

False result. Positives and negatives

published

Did 10 tests in total! 1 x 3 pack & 1 x 7 pack. Only to get an array of different results. Some had shadows/indent/white lines, 1 had a (faint but clear) positive line followed by many that had more shadows or absolutely no second line. I’m feeling deflated and absolutely devastated that it has let me down along with my husband who was excited after announcing to him that I got a positive result. So so so cruel. A total waste of my money and emotions. such a joke!

Multiple false positives!

I bought about 6 boxes of the 7 packs this month because I was SO confused with my results! Multiple tests gave me false positive results. Absolute waste of money!

False positive

published

72 hours of hell.

After taking 4 normal wee tests which all came up negative a friend suggested - a digital test by first response as they were more sensitive. I took it. It came up yes. 48 hours of anxiety attacks and I found out I wasn’t even pregnant by bloods. This test gave me a false negative! Not to be trusted! Imagine if I was trying and I got my hopes up! Looks like I’m not the only one alone, recall your product before you ruin more lives.

Indent lines and a false positive!

Indent line is too obvious and I actually got a light pink second line on one test and then got my period. Won’t be buying them again as I can’t trust them now.

Reliable

Digital is better in my opinion as you don't need to worry about is there really a line there or am I crazy . Both first response tests detected our early miscarriage. Clear blues did also but they were not as reliable

super early detection

published

I test earlier like 7-9DPO with cheaper tests like fertility2family I buy in bulk cause I am a poas addict and when I am closer or if I get a faint line on them I use FRER just to double check. I have never had an indent or false positive with either brand . I have no idea why FRER test is getting such bad reviews.

Horrible! Devastated

published

This is the second month in a row, this has shown false positives. I was so convinced that I had blood work done, and it was negative. So I’m spending around $100 on these damn hpts, go to the clinic to confirm, spend another $135 only to be left devastated and an absolute wreck. Been trying for 7 months now and I’m just utterly disappointed in this brand. Will never use again

False positive.

Don't waste your money!

Used many times; between children, scares & losses.
Proper results every time until two years ago when they stopped working...
Instructions are easy to follow, but
Don't waste your money, use Dollarama test!
Expiry date shows 2020.
I took a test out & the clock was already flashing... used It cuz the box had no indication that this was not normal! Results took 5min as usual; came up "Yes+" then after about a minute changed to "No -" then immediately went blank. this is complete crap! Highly disappointing & a waste if nearly $30!! I should have just gotten a Dollarama test

Early pregnancy test

published

I have no idea why it is getting so many negative comments. This is the best pregnancy test which can be done at home as early as 4 weeks. When all other pregnancy tests showed negative because it was only around 5 weeks, first response gave me right result followed by a confirmation by a blood test result which confirmed 4 weeks. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Two lines and oh, I get my period! Absolutely disgraceful! And for someone who has had consecutive miscarriages, it was the most heart breaking thing. This needs to be taken off the shelves! Don’t buy First Response! Not fair!! I would love to take this further, this should not be allowed!

First response is no longer the best tests

published

Instructions clear, easy to follow. First response tests are truly the worst tests on the market now. They already had to remove the curved and now the old design is even worse. Positives on other tests long before even a hint of a line on frer. Go with a cheaper test. First response is not reliable anymore.

False positive

published

Out of a 7 pack I got 5 false positives with a faint second line that appeared within 3 mins. They didn't get darker over time.
Caused me so much confusion and anxiety I missed work too.
From previous comments I can see that the company is doing nothing to rectify the defective tests. Pure disrespect to theor customers mostly very vulnerable ones.
I'll be looking into AU government bodies where i could complain about this.
