A great load capacity & 5 yr warranty
I'm one of those people. Research, research research. I won't talk about the other brands in the short-list but the best brands were only offering 4 and 5 yr warranty and the sales guy were using the warranty as the best selling point. Problem is you are paying 1000 plus more for it. We wanted large bowl capacity - tick, its one of the largest, large door opening for easy access- tick so a king sized doona would fit, easy controls-tick, good looking design - tick I like the smoked glass and it has an internal light, but most importantly warra...Read more
nty. It comes with a 2 yr warranty but for the rest of 2020 you can extend for a further 3 yrs free factory F&P warranty. Every sales person I spoke too didn't know about the free extended warranty available. My budget was 1600 so got it for a fraction more, tick just in my sweet spot. BTW Its the only F&P washing machine to be eligible for the extended warranty. We had the F&P top loader (the highly rated version) and I must say clothes are cleaner. As with most front loaders filling with water is a little noisy but the rest of the cycle is whisper quiet. We have had it for a month and very impressed. Highly recommendedPurchased in April 2021 at The Good Guys for A$1,649.00.

This machine was not for me....
We have only owned front loaders and this by far tops the line for being the most harsh on our garments and manchester. It definitely washes and with that comes pilling in saying that I believe it would be a great commercial machine for heavy items. Auto-dosing is not very effective even after altering the pre set to the highest option.
On the upside this machine has very quick cycles and if you dont have alot of delicates/gentle machine washables this machine maybe for you.
Have contacted Fisher and Paykel spoken with a lovely lady named Maureen who has been knowledgeable and professional. Will keep posting updates

Questions & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions about Fisher & Paykel ActiveIntelligence WH1260F1
Why is my washing machine making a loud noise?
To make sure your washing machine is completely secure during transit, Fisher & Paykel includes transit rods in addition to the transit bolts most people will be familiar with. It's possible that these rods are creating this noise. Your installer will remove both the bolts and the rods when installing the product for you, but if you’re planning to install the machine yourself, this video will give you more detail on how to remove both the transit bolts and rods: Removing Transit Bolts.
Stickers are also included on the back of the machine that show where to find the transit rods.
