DW60FC Series

The cutlery in the top tray is very wet at the end if the cycle. Has to be dried manually and there is a high level of water left on the cutlery tray that easily drips onto the racks below. Is there a vent that needs to be opened or how can this be avoided.

Myself and a friend bought identical models at the same time. Within 6 months the far right hand side start button had fallen out. I see they can be bought online, but is there a better fix, assuming it is a common problem? Nigel

I just bought it and I usually look at product review however I was researching so many - I didn't! I hate it. Such a bad design. Not trying. Just hopped on the net to work how how to raise the top basket as the dinner plates don't fit on bottom. I am incredibly disappointed

Just installed today and installer getting f30,40 error messages. Machine doesn’t work. Service call booked with f&p. So we wait.
Whilst I saw the installer out of our home the kitchen flooded and water then flooded to bedroom below, saturating linen and bed on ground floor.
Bing lee don’t seem surprised or concerned by this- does it happen often?
Am I better just to return this dishwasher now? Reviews are awful about design and quality. I wish I had read these before purchase.

I have just bought a house with this dishwasher in the kitchen. Can the top tray be raised? I can’t put bigger plates in as the top rotating arm keeps knocking them. It isn’t clear from the operating manual how to do this. Can you help please?

Hi Connie,

We had the exact same problem when we first purchased it & we were ready to return it, but we since found out, yes, you can adjust the height. It is not easy to find in the instructions, but they are on the "Quick Start Guide" in the download section of the Fisher & Paykel website for that machine type. I will try to post the link here if it allows me. The instructions are on the last page under "Adjusting the height of the upper basket" paragraph.

Let me know if you can see/open this link, otherwise I will try to get it to you some other way.

Yes, I was able to see it. Thank you so much!

You can fit pretty much any item you can fit in any other dishwasher I presume - they are all pretty much the same size both externally and internally - the difference with our dishwasher (please note it is a 6W1, not a 2W1) is that the interior design is badly flawed compared to many other dishwashers - the powerball dispenser flips open, rather than slides - and is ridiculously positioned half-way up the door where it is impeded by even moderate-sized items - and the design of the bottom tray itself is very limiting - the upper tray is also badly designed compared to many other manufacturers

If F&P got the interior so wrong, it makes you wonder what else is poorly designed - the interface on the front is great - but some people are reporting problems with the buttons

We are going to see if we can get it replaced with another brand - no more F&P brand loyalty for us

I have a DW60FC2X1 F&P dishwasher and I've noticed at around the 76 minute mark (on a 90 minute normal wash) it lets out a pretty loud banging noise for a second that comes from inside the dishwasher (for the first few times I mistook the sound for someone banging into a cupboard or dropping something it's that loud). Anyone else have this issue with one of their dishwashers?

Call customer service as this is not normal. Some times I hear a clonk like something has been knocked around tho!We have had the sensor replaced after only a few months as it wouldn't turn on,great service from tech who said it had been a common fault with this model.Good luck
