An all round good fridge

published

It maintains a very good temperature. The door alarm is a good. But the tiny tray in the freezer isn't that good.
It's very quiet. I can't even hear it.
It simple to clean.
So far we're happy with this fridge, but a bigger freezer section would be better for us.

Noisey, poor quality and poor service availability

published

Fridge is noisey....so noisy we called a repairman out after few months of ownership....
and were told its "normal"...fridge has remained noisey (we're used to it now).

Having never been relocated, and at less than five years of age, the fridge has recently started tripping the RCD/safety switch....for a $1000+ appliance this is not good enough.

Four days for a service repairman to show up in a capital city is not good enough either.....

If you think by buying fisher and paykal you are buying quality and decent after sales support be aware of my experience.

SO NOISY

published

I purchased this refrigerator on 30 August 2016 through E&S Trading and had it installed on 3 September.

I have no complaint with the refrigerators performance my beef is the constant low level humming which never stops; it is ridiculously noisy. The only relief I get is when I open the door but as soon as I close it the humming starts up again. The F&P service man took a look at it and confirmed it was not faulty - just insanely noisy!
I live in a small apartment on a main road and most of the time have doors closed which doesn't help...surely I don't have to modify my lifestyle to accommodated a refrigerator??

So Far So Good

published

Bought this to replace a tired looking 18 y/o Sharp that just wouldn't die (they don't make then like that anymore).
So far we are very happy with the F&P. A little noisy at times but not as much as the old Sharp was. Keeps everything nice and cool and I swear lettuce lasts a lot longer in the crisper.
Some small annoyances. No ice maker in the freezer section (We use the trays and a tall container to store the cubes) and the doors do not automatically close, you have to push them shut.
Freezer is only just large enough for us as a couple and therefore may be a bit too small for a family.

Really great fridge

published

After buying a new fridge (not Fisher & Paykel) and having it replaced twice due to freezer seal warping within a day of being installed, I gave up and chose the Fisher & Paykel. Extremely quiet, great compartments which keep everything nicely cooled. Easy to clean. Love the warning beep when door is left open, especially with teenagers in the house.

Problem with light and control panel not lighting up sometimes

published

I like the fridge, I find it quiet, glass shelves, and a nice set out with only a small problem with the light and control panel, guessing its a jammed door switch and sometimes doesn't see the door open but I can't see the switch, fails about twice a day, the motors running while its blacked out.
