EASY TO USE. GREAT RESULTS
I purchased my washing machine after lots of research. I found the price for the quality and size of the product to be the main draw card but the option to add items to a load that has already started, completely won me over.
The results i find are fantastic especially with 2 sporty kids. I love the Quick wash option as you get a great clean in 1/2 an hour and the fact that it heats the water within the machine rather than using the hot water tap (if you chose a hot wash) i find is a great function. I don't even have the machine connected to the hot tap!!!
Highly recommend and have done so to family and friends already.

Short lifespan, no support
Was whisper quiet when we first purchased but after about 3 years started to make a horrible noise on spin, F&P wanted around a $120 just to check plus whatever the replacement parts/labour would be. Its now just gone 4 years and the main bearing is failing, so loud you can't watch TV at the other end of the house and leaving a grease stain on clothes. I spoke with F&P and they basically said too bad, so sad. I accept that it's out of warranty but I got 9+ years out of our old cheapy Simpson front loader. 3 to 4 years is just plain poor but F&P seem to think that's acceptable.
Purchased in April 2021 at The Good Guys Physical store for $799.00.

It lasted less than 2 years without issues
I really liked this washing machine when I first got it, I even recommended it to my parents who have also bought one. I found that it cleaned my clothes well, was quiet and easy to use.
However, even it was about 23 months old (one month before the manufacturing warranty runs out), I started having massive issues with it. The biggest issue was that during most loads, the suds sud up excessively and large amounts of water leak out the back. When I tried booking it on for a service with Fisher and Paykel, I was told that this was a common is...Read more
sue and I should only use half a scoop of detergent and give the drum a clean which has not helped at all. I have started using 1/4 of a scoop and this still hasn’t fixed the leaking. Fisher and Paykel have told me that this is not covered under warranty because it has to do with the detergent so I’ll have to pay for the service, parts and labor. They extended my warranty for an additional 3 months in case it is not this that is the issue but it is likely that I’ll need to pay it but they cannot confirm until it has been done. I’ll do some more research before buying a new washing machine next time to ensure that it will last longer. I wouldn’t recommend Fisher and Paykel due to the issues with the service centre.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Perfect for my need
I know it's been discontinued, but if you get this from good 2nd hand or refurbished. It's a great deal.
This is the first front loader washing machine that I have. I love it, I can wash from pillows to queen quilts..it's perfect for me to wash all of them. And it's save water to I just using it for 30 minutes wash.
Quiet, it's ok...it's not bother me...it's a normal sound

Great product and service
This is a very good washing machine. Clothes always come out clean even on a heavy wash. It is very gentle on your clothes. Many different washing options and spin speed options. Also has a wash boost option for heavily soiled washes. This machine is very quiet throughout cycle also. I would recommend this machine.

Error 105 - Has been behaving badly for some time and now is dead.
The customer support and technician have been very helpful but after 4 visits, replacing the lock twice and both the front and back controller boards. The washer is still not working.
This is less than 15 months old.
Now I would like a refund or a replacement with a better model washing machine that does not try auto balance and extend the cycle or just not spin at the selected spin cycle speed leaving the load wet.
Not cool. I was not asked what I would like to do and the support rep on the phone said he cannot change this because a replacement of the same model has been authorised. Funny how they have stock of a discontinued model.

Great washing machine
Really quiet washing machine.
Lots of programs for all needs.
It's great to be able to pick the spin speed and temperature for each program.
The only bad thing is that it tends to leak when there's almost nothing in the wash (a pillow or a bath mat).
Apart from that there's no issue

Love it
First time front loader purchaser. Love it except wish it could detect small or large loads like the top loader. Cleans really efficient and love the fact it spin dries the clothes so thoroughly which makes them try so much quicker. Very quiet operation. Love Fisher and Payless washing machines

I love this washing machine!!
I bought F&P quicksmart front load washing machine for a year. I really love it!
it cleans clothes well and generally with small amt of water. and its very easy to use!!
The only bad experience I had was with the customer service. I had a problem with the drain tube which took 2 months to get replaced, and the technician was not very friendly. but the customer service team ppl were very easy to talk to.

Great little front loader
Had a problem with ours after 6 months when it nearly shook itself apart due to an unbalanced load which dislodged one of the barrel support rods. Probably our fault rather than the machine's. The F & P techo was great, on time, left the job neat & tidy and gave us some good advice about loading the wash. It hasn't missed a beat since. Would absolutely recommend this machine (or rather its replacement model) for its quietness and performance - and the manufacturer for after sales service.

Excellent washing machine with bonus of adding clothes mid cycle
I've always owned a front loader, but the only thing I liked better about top loaders was the fact you could add items mid cycle. Now you can add items mid cycle with this particular washing machine too. You might think you would rarely use this facility, but it is AMAZING the number of times it has come in handy. The clothes get washed really well, and I tend to stick to the 'everyday' setting regardless of what I'm washing, just changing the temp of the water. I can't see any reason at all why it would wear clothes out. It is extremely q...Read more
uiet when washing the clothes, and I've had to check it's actually on a few times. Taps make a hammer sound and there's a bit more gurgling than I'm accustomed to, but you get used to it and doesn't bother us in the least. The only reason I've given it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the rinse cycle is 25 mins and my previous washing machine had a quick 15 min cycle, which was great for rinsing towels/bathers after going in the pool when they weren't dirty but just needed a rinse, and also the fact that the countdown timer seems to take longer than displayed, but I might be being a little harsh, it's just what I was used to. Being able to add items mid-cycle is a fabulous feature, as is the 1100 rpm spin function, which you seem to be able to set in conjunction with any chosen cycle (so far); my previous machine (a Bosch) wouldn't let me select such a high rpm for an everyday wash/'mixed load'. The extra 100rpm compared to my previous machine makes a massive, unexpected difference. Great for a family of four.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Works beautifully!
Bought mine just over a month ago and I love it. This model has just been superseded so I got a pretty good price from Harvey Norman, $720 delivered and 4 yrs extra warranty.
A regular wash will take 59 minutes, and I tend to use the Rinse+ cycle that adds10 mins. It's quiet, water and power efficient (4 star ratings respectively).
What I also found useful is that there were both hot & cold hose connectors. Many machines no longer have a hot water hose, opting for the machine to heat the water as required. Note that this machine also heats t...Read more

converted from top loader to front loader
I have never owned a front loader before only top loaders,i am fully converted now would never go back to a top loader, love the fact it doesn't take hours to do a load like most front loaders used to now only 59mins for a full load or 30 mins for quick load. I haven't had any lint what so ever compared to a top loader, spins clothes till nearly dry, very very quiet, cleans tremendiously, I don't use fabric softener in it and towels are so soft still as the secret is to only use a small amount of detergent,(fabric softener isn't recommended as ...Read more
it can damage any machine over time) 1 cap full in a top loader is recommended I only need to use half a capful in front loader and clothes, towels sheets are so clean. I alter the spin cycle to 800 instead of 1100 as it wont damage items as bad being on a slower spin. I am so happy with this machine, less water less power less detergent no softener. love itSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Spin doesn't work
Same issue as lady mentioned above... crazy spin cycle... gets down to spin stage and then skips minutes .... doesn't spin as an option on its own... and customer service said to change washing powder or use vinegar... and said no one had complained of this before!!! Technician came and said there was nothing they could do... will still try to resolve ...

Not happy
I purchased this machine in March 2016 and have had the repairman out 3 times since then. Every so often the machine will get to either 11 or 8 mins left on the count down and will then just tumble the clothes instead of going into the spin mode. I was told to change my washing powder (BioZet) as they hadn't heard of it and maybe it was too sudsy, they also said to use vinegar in the fabric softener compartment. I changed washing powder but refuse the use the vinegar and it still happens. Today they changed a computer board at the back so I am waiting to see if this makes any difference.

THIS WASHING MACHINE IS THE BEST, A GOOD ALL ROUND PERFORMER
Definitely, the best washing machine we have every owned. My wife just loves to use it. She almost pats it as she passes by in the Laundry. Purchased from the GoodGuys(I Think Harvey Norman might be cheaper) for $828 including installation & removal of the old Front Loader.
Best features of the machine are:
-Open the door at any time to add or remove items with no time delay on door lock!
-Re-programmable wash cycles e.g. We amended all cycles to cold wash
-Direct drive therefore very quiet during washing & spinning, no belts or gearbox t...Read more

An excellent, low power & water wise washing machine
The machine does a great job washing the clothes and the various cycles are easily understood. Features such as water temperature, spin cycles per minute and eco are easy to set. Can also set timer so machine will run at later time - say to take advantage of lower tariff power post 10pm. The machine is very quiet and direct drive shaft promises less future hassles than belt. One handy feature is that unlike most front loaders pause button can be hit and the door opened at any time during the washing cycle.

l nightly washes and with short wash cycle options, I can easily do a second load when required. I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews - for example there was no problem hooking the waste hose to the waste sink which is to the left of the unit. I checked out options at Harvey Norman and then The Good Guys whose prices were better and $69 next day delivery suited me. The price was extra good since it's a recently discontinued model.4 comments

loading machine - however my tip is to avoid overloading. With a very effective 30 minute cycle (and ability to easily set timer to start any selected cycle) it's easy to do the occasional extra load or 2 when needs be. I've just come back from a weekend away so anticipate that with clothes, towels and bed linen (for 4) it'll take around 4 loads. I'll run 2 tonight (economy power rate) and 2 tomorrow morning (1 @ economy power rate and 1 @ shoulder rate). Not hard really and I'm running a better and more economic machine for my usual daily usage! Now February and machine still working without any problems :) I did realise that on a couple of occasions I set the timer and forgot to then press the flashing start / pause button - meaning the mach... ine didn't run the overnight cycle i.e. clothes weren't cleaned. This is maybe a reason some reviews have said 'clothes not cleaned'. Obviously easy to rectify: check you've pushed the start / pause button so it's not flashing...Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I bought this machine 4 days ago and it is the biggest waste of money ever. First of all they have moved the waste hose from the top on previous models. It is now at the bottom and is not long enough. The waste hose itself is built into the machine so cannot be replaced. The recommended extension from the instruction manual, which you purchase for an extra $50 with shipping doesn't connect. On ringing the parts department I am told there is no extension possible and the instruction manual is wrong. As well as this, the machine will do 4-5 ...Read more
cycles perfectly and then start randomly leaking from the inlet hoses, flooding the house. You have to disconnect and reconnect to gain a seal. I bought this machine as I was told it would just run on cold water and heat its own water. When it detects to see if there is a hot hose connected it makes an awful grinding noise if hot is not connected. Product care line tells me this is "Normal" and "may subside with time". The supplied cold hose is twice the length of the hot hose. The back panel on the machine has also come lose from the vibration of the fast spin cycle, making yet another horrible noise. Conversations with product care and parts at fisher and paykel lead me to believe they know this is a lemon, but don't really care.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

DON'T EVER BUY THIS MACHINE
This washing machine is a complete dud. Will not go past 8 minutes to go and then 3 minutes to go, no matter which cycle you use. So a 30 minute cycle takes up to an hour and that is with me constantly readjusting the clothes and even having to wring out the sheets and towels by hand. Technician came out and said I use to much detergent and they are just too smart these days !!. Changed to liquid and no improvement what so ever. It is very frustrating to say the least.

My WH7560J2 was giving the error code 37, checked pump/filter and filter and cleared. Now when turned on, the control panel will not allow the washer selector to move from the cottons wash, and only makes a beeping sound when the selector is turned. Additionally, when a button is pressed, the only thing that happens is three quick beeps, with no change to the selection. Any help?
