My f&P 512 is stuck on spin cycle but is not spinning I think I have overloaded it.it is beeping and the lights on the spin cycle are flashing.but nothing else is happening.please help.

Is there a run capacitor on the MW512 and if so where is it located. It has been suggested to me that the Motor Control Module now performs the function of capacitor on the direct drive motors.

Hi there, sometimes it won’t spin dry if it is not balanced. If you haven’t already tried these 2 things, give them a go. Spread the load out a bit better and try start it again.
The other thing that sometimes works is to switch it off and to restart it.

Can't say I've encountered anything of this nature in any of the 3 machines I've owned. Don't like the sound of a 'burning' smell though and I would be erring on the side of caution and contacting F & P to get one of their affiliated serviceman out to have a look. Cheers Liz
Something is obviously stopping the spin cycle from working. Is there something caught in the machine somewhere, or perhaps the breaking mechanism on the spin cycle is not releasing properly or jammed in the 'stop' mode. Probably not a simple solution that you can fix on your own.
No braking mechanism, direct drive motor.
Possible fault with motor winding or main controller pcb.

Mw512 no power, completed load few days before, found blown fuse on control board, replaced, turn power on does a coupling of beeps but nothing else.

My machine has become unreliable as it stops spinning when draining Takes ages to drain. Spins out anything up to 3hour's and then fills to rinse and starts playing up again is the problem fixable ??as I am getting very frustrated thanks Glenda

A large amount of fragmented black material has collected inside the central column in the bowl. It appears to be some sort of flexible plastic material and staining of the washing is occurring. Is there some sort of gasket or similar in the machine that can disintegrate over time and cause this problem?

Hi, our MW512AU, Filled up the other day started washing. Then Stopoed halfway n started beeping. At first i thought, the clothes were uneven. So tried that. But kept beeping when i turned it on.tried power but kept beeping with the 3rd 4th & 8th buttons on whilst beeping??

Hi I am not a technician you need to phone F&P
if it beeps 5 times in a rising tone, it has an error which can be diagnosed - you can probably find the manual at manualslib for self diagnosis

My F&P MW512 is still pumping water out. i.e. still empties.

Can you show me which one is the hot water inflow?

Hi as long as you have your hose screwed into the hot water and the tap is touned on, all you have to do is select the hot water from the options on the right hand side on the panel. So turn the power on then select hot from the panel .

This machine I was given second hand. It appears that this smartdrive has been discontinued. On the touchpad, the plastic cover on the power button is cracked and broken. A small piece of plastic that makes contact with the contact on the power board has broken off underneath. Activating the power switch manually on the board brings up error code 00011110. Is it worth getting this fixed? I'm not sure how old it is but could be 10 years old.
