Excellent washing machine

Awful experience

published

Purchased 1yr and 4 days broke down. Extremelty loud explosive sound while spinning clothes and fabric conditioner dispenser not working. Took over 3 days to get a response from fisher and paykel . Explanation for taking so long . They were too busy. So disappointed. Had plenty of wasing machines before different makes and they lasted more than 10 years

Hate it

published

Although the it cleans my clothes quite well, there are some things I don't like. There is no Wool wash cycle and no way to have a warm rinse. It is not a patch on the previous F& P models where you could make up your preferred cycle yourself. The everyday cycle is too long at 59 minutes. It used to take 40 minutes with the old model.
Perhaps some of these facts are why this model has been discontinued.

Poor, Poor Service

published

Great machine until it stopped working (after 14 months) and came up with error 37...pump....cleared the pump and it still won't work.
Called service people as it is still under warranty and as they don't have any service engineers in the area can't even look at it for 3 wks!!!!
Been washing at the local laundrette and it's costing me a fortune!!!
What am I to do?

the perfect washer....

published

we have had our front loader now for about 6 months and have not suffered one problem with it. it is far quieter than the top loader it replaced and the clothes seem to be all the more cleaner. we usually use the every day cycle a bit longer than the 30 minute cycle but I'm sure its all worth it. this is our 3rd Fisher and Pykel washer. our first front loader. we hope it will be as reliable as the previous 2 top loaders. all in all we can't fault this machine....except the finish washing alert could be a bit louder :O))) regards. George.

So Quiet.

The perfect addition to my house....

This machine is just the best! Not only is it gentle in clothes, quiet and efficient to run it also comes with huge selection of washes...15 mins to bulky washes, delayed start, temp adjustment and the ability to add things once the cycle has started...AMAZING! Highly recommend this front loader machine!

Good quiet washing machine

published

Very happy with this purchase. It is quiet n washes clean. I use the everyday washing function takes an hr n always does the job. 1100 spin cycle dries the cloth sufficiently too. I read some bad reviews on this machine before I bought it but all were non-sense suppose maybe someone doesn't know they hv to take transition bolts out before they connect it?

So far so good!

published

Our other front loader stopped working after 5 years and it wasn't worth repairing. After a bit of research we decided on this machine. We've only had it for a few days but we are very happy with it. It's cleans clothes very well and it is so quiet! It rinses much better than our old machine and we can't even hear it working which makes it great if we need to wash something in the night time and we love the fact that it turns itself off after a cycle. Hopefully this machine will last longer than 5 years. But so far we love it!

Fisher Paykel Quicksmart Washer

published

Had a noise problem when first installed, service guy came one foot was just a fraction out spirit level said it was level so it has to be perfect. Now seems ok, does wash well also now quite only thing I have found is wash seems to take a bit longer than it says like 10 minutes.

ADORE IT!!! I have never been happier with a washing machine!

published

I love this machine so much, after coming from a 5kg Samsung top loader I have never been happier. It is so quiet (my best friend's sounds like a jet taking off and she is über jelly) and doesn't have an annoying 40 second jingle upon finish, then it turns off. It's spin reli wrings out the excess water, the drum hasn't started to get smelly at all. I love the different settings, the water efficiency, the minimal amount of product required to wash things and that they always come out so clean and smelling so nice. I haven't had any clothing wear out as a result of use yet and I've had it 18 months.

In love!!

Love this machine!! Super quiet. Quick washes available that get a super good clean. That was the most surprising and exciting; how clean everything came out. Mines on cement floor so no clue what a couple others are talking about. If it's installed and leveled it's perfection. So very happy!

Great washer

published

We've had this machine for around 12 months now and it hasn't missed a beat.
It washes clothes really well and is very quiet compared to our old top loader which means we can turn it on just before we go to bed and not be disturbed by the noise.
I love the quick wash option which only takes 30 minutes to do a full load of washing.
You can pre-select the speed that the spin cycle works on and can customize your wash temperature for each wash selection.
We needed a machine to fit into a small(ish) space and this one is nice and narrow on the outside, but can still take our king size doona.

Fantastic for a shared house of 3 guys

published

So quiet, washes better than any other machine I've invested in, and no need for a dryer because the spin cycle is more than adequate.
excellent for washing in the wee small hours whilst the others are sleeping. With 3 guys in the house hold it does the job well.

Good solid performer

published

On the plus side, I like the "beep" when its done function, has a good choice of basic programmes and it self balances reasonably well
On the down side you only get 1100rpm spin speed, have to go to the Washsmart model to get 1400rpm.
Gets used most days, takes 3 big bath towels OK, working well after 3months

Fantastic machine

published

We have only had it a short time but it is a great machine. Cleans clothes really well even on the 30 and 60 minute washes. Super quiet to the point we couldn't even hear it running (it must be levelled though). Hot and cold hoses. The clothes come out soft and near dry. It does add a few minutes to the wash sometimes but I don't see this as an issue as its doing what it needs to for a great wash. Good quality machine. Very happy.

Stop!!! Dont do it!!! - Part Two

published

I should have mentioned as part of first review that I use the quick wash 30 minute cycle or I should say anything from a 34 to 43 minute cycle!!! I wouldn't want to try a longer cycle based on this it could take all day to do one load!!! I can't get an answer from Fisher and Paykel as to why this happens - perhaps you purchased it so its your problem??$$?? - When I purchase my next machine which could be VERY soon based on my experience with the product so far I know I will definitely be crossing Fisher Paykel off my list for any products. Please find this helpful and try another brand - you wont regret it!!!

Very Dissatisfaction!

published

Just bought this machine after reading heaps of great reviews, got it home, installed it and looked at how great it looks. Carried out the test cycle, and as expected water filled super quietly, then once on spin. Screech, screech, screech. Will be on the phone to Goodguys tomorrow in hope for a refund or exchange :(
