Totally useless item broke down within 3 ( single lady ) washes and they want to charge hundreds to come out as I am country. Totally useless, noisy and terrible machine that locks itself and you cannot even open the thing. Oh but they can send a technician for that too .. but they cannot tell you how to unlock it.
Rubbish product don't touch

Over the past week of ownership/use I'll give this machine a 4/5, subject to later use. So far it's been as expected, quiet (except during last spin when it dances around a bit) and uses surprisingly little observable water. In fact at the first wash I didn't think there was any water in it at all but it seems to work on the slapping wet clothes on rocks principle - just enough water to wet the clothes. So I'm happy - for now - but the long term durability of the embedded uber-technology worries me a bit.

I enjoy using this machine so much that when I first bought it, I would look for extra things to wash. My old clothes come out with much of the pilling removed and the colours looking fresher - the garments look years newer! I even washed a quilt in it, even though I knew I wasn't supposed to (much too heavy when wet for the drum to spin) - it struggled and took an extra long time in the spin, but I've always had to wash it in the bathtub before, so I was very happy that it did eventually get through the cycle (I may do this once a year at the ...
Read moreend of winter but I wouldn't recommend you do this as it may ruin your machine). I've had it for around 5 months and put through about 45 washes so far. It can sometimes get a little noisy in the spin but the wash is whisper quiet. I'm amazed at how it can clean using almost no water - you can hardly see any water in there. The only downside is that the instructions recommend not using fabric softener - I still use a full dose it but it doesn't seem to have much effect and I get somewhat stiff towels. The machine has been levelled correctly and I load it correctly, so there are never any problems with the machine vibrating/moving or out of balance loads. I highly recommend it - it's not perfect, but it's close - makes washing a pleasure instead of a chore.

it washes well but requires constant attendance as it stops half way through and bleeps continuously. The error page doesn't help with reasons. Eventually I restart it and sometimes it even completes a cycle without attendance.....
I wish I had not bought this machine. Obviously im doing something the machine doesn't like but the technology that comes with this model is over the top..

The beeping errors are driving me nuts, error 37 nobody wants to tell me what it is, must be secret f&p business, fed up with 1 hr. wash going for 2 hrs. fed up with too much suds err. Even tho I use much less than the required amount, the drain hose on the bottom beside filter has never worked. Other than that it works pretty good, but I will never buy F&P again

After taking back my faulty Electrolux back to Masters, I decided to purchase the Fisher & Paykel Quicksmart 7.5kg front loader. I had been working nights shift and was sleeping in the back bedroom next to the laundry. I got up in the afternoon and walked past the laundry door and could hear the faint sound of water draining into the laundry sink. That was the noisiest part of the entire wash cycle. My wife and I have been very please with it so far; however, it has only been a few weeks. I will update the review in 6 months (Feb 2015). I hope that I can continue to say positive things about the machine.
Very quiet, good water and energy rating
6 month update: No issues so far . We are both still satisfied with the purchase. Will update again in July 2015.
Just read some of the negative reviews from other posters and honestly I'm surprised. The machine has been reaaly good to us, so far. The only advice I can give is if you are having problems return it...
Read more for full refund or exchage. We have very good consumer protections in Australia.Okay, here' my last update. It's still going strong. In fact, we are taking it back to the US, despite the US using 110V. We're going to have a power point in the laundry wired for 240V so we can use the washer.
Did our research on machines. We were looking at Samsung machines as well at the similar price point, though when you compared the technology in each this machine came out a winner. Quieter, more economical and better quality, and this comes in the things you wouldn't normally look at when selecting a washing machine.....eg: door hinge quality, rubber, direct drive motor over belt driven etc etc. I can't understand the negative comments and can only assume its from people who don't know how to use a front loader. This machine is the same as the P1 which has top reviews.
Very quiet, better quality product compared to competition at price point.

We purchased the 7.5kg front load QuickSmart on the weekend. it was working well, very quiet until the spin cycle. it was shaking so much in that cycle that it took myself and hubby to hold it down so it wouldnt go through the wall. now i dont think that is normal, i for one do not want to hold it down at every wash. very very dissappoint, will be talking to the store about replacing it

I had to flood my laundry by draining the machine through the filter system while pulling on the manual door release tab. As soon as the door sprung open we were flooded even more. Read more of water! So our laundry became a pool again as we had to manually drain the machine. You would think that a machine you spend several hundred dollars on would last the distance. We got 3 weeks before it broke down. And then you can't get it swapped over because it's insinuated by the customer service that you may have damaged it yourself. .. seriously? I washed clothes in it.... I thought it could have survived that considering it's a washing machine! Very disappointed in the machine. It should not have broken down in that time and the customer service is about as good as the machine.. All washed out was quiet while it lasted even quieter now because it doesn't work after 3 weeks! it did however clean our floors nicely.. maybe a little too much...Not good!! My 3rd Fisher & paykel machine, worst one I have ever bought. Very noisy in spin, out of balance all the time, clothes come out tangled together. The. Repairman has been out 3 times in 6weeks, 3rd time with a new drum. Would advise not to buy one of these machines
noisy and out of balance all the time

Hey, here's an update after 6 months of use. No problems to date with about 10 washes per week regularly, although I had to do something to mitigate the spin cycle dance. Even meticulous levelling di...
Read mored not provide a vibration free spin cycle so I lifted the machine and placed it on 4 heavy (12mm) felt pads and that worked well (low spin speed helps as well). Machine still vibrates (not excessively) but the noise on a suspended wooden floor is now bearable. Everything else is working well, so I'm upgrading to a tentative 4.5/5 (until of course something goes wrong and then I'll whinge I suppose). Calvin.
