Ok when new. Not long lasting

published

Bought new to replace failed LG front loader. Worked well for about 3-4 years. Drum bearing failed and repair costs are prohibitive. Would expect a longer service life than this. Wouldn't buy or recommend F&P.

Purchased in May 2021 at The Good Guys for $1,100.00.

Biggest mistake I made buying this

published

This is my first post on Product Review as I feel so disgusted with this machine. Has been nothing but issues within the first couple of years and it went from there. From sensor issues, temperature control issues, so noisy that I can hear my machine across the street to flooding my laundry on every cycle from under the machine. This is a three year old machine which I'm fanatical about what detergent I use and how much I load in any one cycle. If you call customer Care they are beyond helpful. Do not waste your money on this product.

No regrets.

published

We bought this washing machine three and a half years a go and it has worked well for us. Washes well, isn't super loud. Only time we have had issues is when bobby pins have gotten stuck in the hoses and that was a simple fix. Not a bad buy.

I love my Fisher & Paykel front loader!!

published

We decided on purchasing this machine for its competitive features.
It’s water rating is amazing, energy rating is amazing, various wash cycles are very handy. Also features a start time delay.
Fastest wash is from 15 mins up to 1.5 hrs for heavier soilage.
I highly recommend this front loader to anyone looking for a great brand, well known in the washing machine world, great value for money and their clothes to come out much cleaner than they went in.

Big, reliable.

published

So good. I have the matching dryer as well, both work without any issues. Clean clothes even comes out cleaner. Easy to clean, really quiet. I love the pause mid cycle function as I often forget to add clothes once the washing started. I have 4 kids, so it gets ALOT of use, so it's been a fantastic washing machine.

Front Loader bearing noise

published

Bearing noise, inspected & bearing is worn already after just 2 years & can not get replacement bearing & seal. Most annoyed as it cost $950 just 2 years ago. A half drum replacement can be ordered for a cost of $300.00 delivered, this is just completely wrong and theift by the wholesaler.

Love This Washing Machine

Fantastic

published

Bought this machine for nearly two years, never have a problem. Simple to use and love the quiet direct drive motor, you don't even realise it is running. Good cycle options, touch dial, great for high energy and water savings. Just love the machine, it is value for money and the best washing machine I ever have.

First one didn't work second one o.k.

published

I have always had a top loader and mine died recently after 15 years of service. I did quite a bit of research and thought this f&p would be the best bet. I wanted to go to a front loader as the top loader was a bit hard on clothes. The first one came up with an error 105 so had it swapped as I didn't want a brand new $950+ machine repaired. The second machine worked however I found that the top loader never needed fabric softner and this one does also the clothes are much wetter when it finishes washing them. On the plus side it uses less water and has plenty of wash cycles to choose from.

Awesome Front Loader

published

We used to have an LG front loader which was really loud and made all sorts of beeping noises at you. Purchased the Fisher & Paykel WH8560J1 from Appliances Online and have been using it the last 2 months. We are super happy with it. It is quiet, it washes your clothes well, it can be programmed to all your favorite settings. It just a great all rounder.
We have found that sometimes you have to do another spin cycle so you can dry your clothes faster, apart from that it has worked like a dream.

BEWARE This machine If You Have A Wooden Floor.

Really Impressed.

published

We have been using water saving front end loader machine at our rental property for 4 years but found it too small and opted for a Laundromat. At last when we moved we bought this gem. We have never been so impressed with its efficiency and ease of operation. We processed three loads of 8.5 kg wash in one evening and this machine is a true marvel. It's quietness in operation and auto shut of on completion is an excellent feature. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a new washer.

So far I am ecstatic with this washing machine

published

I've only had it about 6 weeks, but so far I am loving this machine. My last machine was an Electrolux WSE7000SA and it wasn't fabulous, was extremely noisy and hard to stabilise. I hadn't owned it 5 years and had to replace it and I am really pleased with the replacement. It's a great size for my family, is much much quieter and has the optional, much shorter "every day" setting which I use ... every day! I would thoroughly recommend this machine so far and if it starts to fail, I will come back and report on it.

Excellent and very happy with this investment

published

This is the first review have ever bothered to do - I read up on this site before purchasing thus really wanted to help others... Really clean clothes, smooth and quite operation (and on wooden floor)! I am really happy to do washing in this machine my last machine also F&P ran for over 15 years with no repair which is why I went F&P again and this model has a engine guarantee for 10 years... the front loader saves on both water and power too which is a great investment! We are a family of five and the 8.5 kg size is also magic no more doing 2 loads a day! Thank you Fisher & Paykel, love your work!

Disappointed .

published

Not impressed by this machine . It's very rough 90% of the washing is badly creased, the spin only cycle rinses before spinning . Apparently this is supposed to happen according to FP but the instruction book says no such thing . Sorry I bought it .
