I have just done a drum clean and cleaned out the filter of my front loader washing Machine. The filter was really hart to get back in the machine, it looked like there was some scaling in there. The washing machine is now leaking. Can you advise how is the best way to descale this part? Is this a common problem? Thanks
Does this machine have a filter that collects lint ?
I expect so, my model was the 7.5kg and it does
I opened my pump filter, it's just some plastic bits attached to the cap, is there supposed to be some kind of filter material, like a mesh to collect lint?

It could be if you have used one button too much sometimes the computer inside will start flashing or stop working . I always change my settings each week. Maybe restart the machine.
How do I restart the machine?
It is because the Keylock to unlock it do as below:
Keylock
This option enables you to deactivate the buttons on the display panel, except for the POWER
and KEYLOCK buttons. This prevents accidental button presses.
To turn Keylock mode ON or OFF, when the washer is powered on:
■■ Touch and hold the KEYLOCK button for 2 seconds.
Note: when activated, the light above the KEYLOCK button is illuminated.
If Keylock mode is activated and the machine is powered off:
■■ To turn your washer on, press the POWER button, then touch and hold the KEYLOCK button for
two seconds. Select your wash cycle, options and then START / PAUSE to start the cycle.
Brand new fisher &paykel smart washing machine clear filter light flashes so I clear filter but still comes on after I start machine what can I do?

It is because the door is locked and the machine is currenty locked under another option. To deactivate it do as follows"

Hi my fisher and paykle front loader is stuck on 1 and i can't seem to change the cycle it like its frozen. The model is WH70F60W1. Help please.
Unit is over 4 yrs old and uses a brush motor - better to cut losses and buy a brushless motor machine.
Quieter and no brushes to wear out.
Using diagnostics, I get an error code 248 (11111000). this occurred during a spin cycle. I have checked the pump and it is claer and clean. Any suggestions....

Our washing machine didn't come with the liquid detergent add in compartment, any ideas where I could buy one??
My washining machine has decided that every now and again it will stop working. It will turn on, you can change cycles but none of the buttons on the front panel will work, eventually it will come up with error 777 and go through the error codes (666, 555 etc) and ta da it's working again. This is the sixth time it's done this and it's just becoming increasingly annoying has anyone ever experienced anything like this because by the time I get someone out it will be working again.
Oh wow! I am not sure of these codes as we havent had them yet.
control panel forgets what it is, then remembers again.

Hi I have just bought a fisher and paykal front loader WH8560F1 and it has just stopped on its first load and come up with E 7:03 does anyone know what it wrong with it?

My FnP front loader make an awful noise when the barrel is spinning. The faster it spins, the faster it spins, the louder the noise. Is the machine stuffed, or can it be fixed? If it can be fixed, can I do it myself.
How to clear key lock?
I cant do hot water wash as the water sprays out of the hose at the tap end. I have replaced the whole hot water hose so there are no washer issues, the tap is fine and not leaking and it is screwed on tightly with the right ends of the hose connected at the tap and at the machine, but water is still spraying out as soon as I turn the tap on??
Sounds very strange - my only suggestions are: try some plumbing tape (around the thread) which is cheap and readily available through any hardware store if that's where the problem is; partly close the tap if the HW pressure's too high; or call the supplier or a plumber or a general handyman (handy-person?!)
My machine was installed by the delivery contractors who did this and removed the old machine and did the heavy lifting all for $69.

Hi I went to wash clothes to find drum clean flashing. The machine is now empty and door closed..I push start / pause which is flasjing..and nothing happens. Key lock is illuminated..time to go says 2.17 cottons is also illuminated ..please tell me what the issue is? thanks gabrielle
Hold the key lock until it releases and you t should start. Did the same thing to me.

How do I do a drum clean?
It is important that you regularly clean the inside of your machine using the DRUM CLEAN cycle.
After 100 cycles your washer will flash the DRUM CLEAN cycle icon everytime you turn your washer on to remind you to do this. If your washer starts to smell this is a sign that you should complete a DRUM CLEAN cycle. We recommend that you do not have any items in the washer when you run this cycle.
Cleaning steps
1 Add approximately 2 full scoops of a good quality powdered detergent directly into the main wash detergent compartment of the dispenser drawer (marked “2”).
2 Press POWER to turn your machine on and select the DRUM CLEAN cycle.
3 Touch START / PAUSE to start the cycle
My machine won't unlock. It had a cord hanging out in last wash which made it leak, it then went in to lock mode.

Hi there, I've had my F&P front loader for about three months and really like it. Only problem is that intermittingly, at the start of a wash, a pulse of water is forced out of the detergent dispenser down the front of the machine and onto the floor. It's like there's too much water going in and it comes out the dooor. I'm super careful to make sure the door is closed properly and to only use the required amounts, but every second wash or so I get this issue at the start of the wash. Any ideas on what might be going on? Cheers.
I have just purchased the Quick Smart 7.5 kgs and water is coming out of the detergent dispenser but only when I use the delicates cycle. Fisher & Paykel technician came today and looked at it and said all was ok with it. He suggested I use less detergent. I ran a delicates with and without clothes and it still did the same thing. So another call to Fisher & Paykel. Would be interested to know if you have found the answer yet!

The drum clean light is flashing. I read the comment for how to fix problem that you answered for someone else and tried it. But it wont let me select the drum wash just keeps beeping everytime i turn the selection knob. There os another light on though that has got keylock under it. any ideas?

Hi, our Front Loader Quick Smart Model no WH7560J1, the door won't open after completing the wash cycle? We can see there is still water in the machine, which we are guessing why it won't open. There is no power to the machine, we have switched power points, but there is NO power in the machine???? Help please.....
