I have water supply to the ice maker and no issues, but my water dispenser is saying the water is not connected...symbol on the display...then occasionally, it will dispense water, then just not....is there a pressure switch somewhere? the supply solenoid is working.

Hi can you give me rundown of cleaning the interior, particularly the vege bin - I’m concerned about the light weight plastic as it feels very flimsy

Remove all veggies & bag them into paper bags, or if plastic containers if you have.
Use dishwashing liquid 1 capfull in kitchen sink, remember to place the drain stop in place. Fill it up with warm water. Soak the veggies bins and other containers in the soapy solution for 20 mins. Rinse the bins and containers in warm water. Wipe it dry with clean kitchen towel. Avoid dishwasher to clean/wash these containers. However, always check the veggies store them back only if they firm. All soft veggies try to give them a quick rinse before you refrigerator them. Hope this helps. Cheers..

At some point you have set the water(wine) chill and it is trying to tell you the time is up.
turn off the water chill.

Where is the water filter cartridge located. I cannot see it from the back when I have moved the unit away from the wall. I removed the plastic cover where the water hose is connected and it does not appear to be there. Just where exactly is it located???

The water cartridge is separate to the machine, trace the water hose from fridge to outlet - no filter means one was not fitted.

fisher and paykel icemaker has stopped working after water was turned off for 2 weeks. Is there something I need to do as we generally turn water off when we go away?

My fridge doesnt have an icemaker. You'd be better off contacting fisher and paykel.

Good idea to turn the water off, hose may spring a leak.
Your Icemaker motor has frozen or the ice sensor is faulty.
Call an F&P technician.

How do I get the water dispenser to stop dripping after use? Also can you tell me why the water doesn't shut off instantly when I pull the glass away?

Hi Mary Ann, try unplugging the fridge for a few seconds, check the water pressure, switch back on and dispense at least four litres of water through the system

Make sure the ice maker is off when you do this. Good luck

My f&p ice maker has ice auto ice maker however when in turns over ice fails to fall out, water then proceeds to add to make next batch of ice and flows into ice bucket because set ice is still in tray. Any ideas?

I am not to sure. Is your water cold enough? I would ring F&P and speak to their helpdesk to see if you can resolve this.

just bought an ActiveSmart 614L French Door. We won't be able to get the water dispenser plumb in correctly until the kitchen is fitted but need to use the fridge now. Can you use the unit without the water feature?

Sure can. I've owned mine for almost a year and have never had it plumbed in.

Just a quick question, just bough the RF610ADUSX5 and so far " 2 days" no problem but I was just wondering what temperature the water would get at around from the dispenser? Just seems not very cold.

I have found that the 2nd or 3rd. Glass is colder than the first, hope that's all it is. Ours is 12 months old no problems, best veg keeper we have had and the only hear it when the ice drops. Hope I haven't jinxed it.

Hi there, I am considering purchasing a RF610ADUSX5 with the ice water and ice maker option. At this point in time, we are not thinking of plumbing the water in, however trying to future proof our options. Can I please know if the fridge/freezer will work normally except the water and ice maker if we do not plumb this in now? Is there anything or downside I should be aware of?

Don't buy this fridge mine is 6 years old out of the 6 years I have had problem with ice maker
Had 3 service calls in 3 years all for same problem and today fridge has an error on panel and it's not working at all

Every time it has cost me between $250 and $300 I am so over it would Never buy fisher and pay keel again
My girlfriend had the same problem on the smaller fridge

my RF 610 AD USX5 has water dispenser on the door and the water is starting to taste funny lately, and the change filter light is on at the water dispenser, where do I go to buy the filter and where is the filter and can I change it myself ?

All the water to your refrigerator is filtered to remove impurities through a filter cartridge located
in a position of your choice outside the refrigerator. This will need changing approximately every
6 months.
■■ There is a filter change icon on the internal control panel and external display which will
appear when the filter needs replacing. It will flash, as a reminder, when water is dispensed.
■■ Replacement filter cartridges are available through Fisher & Paykel Spare Parts - Cleveland, QLD (phone orders only) - 1300 650 585
or online at www.fisherpaykel.com
The details of the replacement filter cartridge
are on the label of the cartridge. Alternatively filter cartridges can be purchased from your
Fisher & Paykel Authorised Repairer.
Changing the water filter cartridge
It is not necessary to turn off the water supply before attempting to change the water
filter cartridge.
1 Grasp and firmly twist the cartridge in an anticlockwise direction (to the left when installed in the
recommended orientation).
2 Pull the cartridge away from the filter head (down when installed in the recommended orientation).
It is not unusual for a few drops of water to be present when the filter is removed.
3 Discard the old filter.
4 Filter installation:
– Remove protective cap on spigot on head.
– Push the cartridge up towards filter head while rotating it in a clockwise direction (to the right
when installed in the recommended orientation).
5 Reset filter indicator icon on the display (this will remind you when the filter is due to be
replaced again).
6 To flush the water filter of any trapped air, harmless carbon fines and to also check for leaks,
disconnect the tubing from the back of the refrigerator, aim the end of the tubing into a bucket,
turn isolating tap on and run at least 10 litres of water through. Once complete turn
isolating tap off. Reconnect the tubing.
7 A few drips may appear out of the dispenser over the next few days as the remaining trapped air
is cleared.
To reset the filter change icon
Important!
■■ We recommend the water filter be used from the time of installation, and the change filter icon be
reset only when a replacement is installed.
■■ Do not reset the change filter icon before the filter is changed or the filter monitoring will
be inaccurate.
■■ We recommend the water filter cartridge is replaced when the internal and external icons
illuminate. This will happen every 6 months.
■■ Press and hold and BELL and + buttons for 4 seconds on the internal control panel.
■■ The filter icon on the internal and external displays will turn off when reset.

F&P my filter has been leaking badly since I had to change the First filter cartridge. I’ve just changed another one and it’s still leaking! What can be done about this?
