Hi. I have just purchased a RF610ADW5 French door fridge and I wondered if it is normal for a light to be flashing intermittently at the back of unit. Also what temps should the fridge and freezer be at to operate properly? Thank you

Hi - I have no idea about the flasing light at tbe back. Check your manual. You can easily set your fridge and freezer to whatever temperature suits you.

The temperature control is on the right hand side top when you open the fridge door. Try that.

Our water dispenser has stopped working? It is still making ice, so the water is getting through. Panel says water is being dispensed and nothing comes out. Any suggestions?

I didn't buy the water dispenser model (on purpose) - too many issue with it.

We have just replaced the water filter on out F & P fridge (for cold water and automatic ice making) due to the warning icon coming up on the door display. We had the old one sawed in half and the inside actual filter part is black. Is black the colour of this part or is is dirt from the water supply? The reason for doing this apparently odd experiment is that we have all water to our apartment filtered (hot and cold) and therefore expected that already filtered water was entering the fridge filter. If the filter inside is not black when it's new, then we need to complain to the suppliers of the whole apartment water filters which were very expensive! Your response would be most appreciated.

What were you expecting to find inside your water filter?
It would seem reasonable that a water filter full of activated carbon would be black, I would have thought!

Hi I have a french door refrigerator RF201ADUX and it won't make ice. On the control panel the menu icon will allow me to stop at every icon, but will not stop at " ICE" so I can turn it on. On the control panel, under " ice" it does not say on or off. Any ideas?Thanks..

Ever since brand new I've had so much trouble in the 4 trays. They constantly fill with water as well as the plastic piece under the glass shelf. I've had to throw out hundreds of dollars of fruit and veggies as they go mouldy, rot or slimy within days. I contacted Fisher & Paykel and was ignored by a very rude NZ woman. I put up with it for few more months as it got worse so phoned again. A rude man came out and replaced a part behind the fridge and said it was the problem and stormed off. It was faulty but the problem didn't stop. It got worse. I called many times. One guy told me to put paper towels in each tray to absorb the water and that will fix it. I did for a while and they would get very wet causing the fruit and veggies rotting each time was within a few days. I called out help several more time and one guy came twice and told me to complain to contact care service and it should be replaced. Rang again as heard nothing then a guy came out and told me he left parts in the fridge to check it and will be back tomorrow. No one came. I complained to ACCC and they said they would do something about it and started but haven't heard anything from them after the next guy came out who was extremely arrogant and carried on adamantly and stupidly that it was my fault as different fruit and veggies can't be stored together because of gases they release. I told him numerous times we go through lots of veggies very quickly. In his report he stated it's because of what I put in together. If he bothered to look in properly he would have seen there were no fruit and veggies in same tray. What angered and upset me the most was Fisher & Paykel stating they were coming out to take the fridge away to be checked out but never came. I gave them my serial number and told them I wasn't sure if it was right and to tell me if wrong. I heard nothing about it then I get an email stating my fridge is 12 years old and will cost a lot for them to do this. I was very angry and found and sent them the real numbers and out of courtesy a photocopy of the receipt. One of the repairmen told me they have all the information about my fridge. I got a sorry then complaints again they couldn't read the receipt. They never asked for one but my husband scanned it and it was sent and I heard nothing back. This has gone on and on for 2 years. One guy said bottom containers are for meats and the arrogant one said it's for drinks. They couldn't agree. The last arrogant guy stating it was gases from the products causing the problem told me there would have been nothing wrong with the part behind the fridge and it would have been replaced to keep me happy. I saw it and it was covered in medium black marks. Never get a Fisher & Paykel fridge as it will never get fixed or replaced. We have lost hundreds and hundreds of dollars throwing produce out. I'm now extremely upset now because of their rudeness and not caring walking away hoping they will never hear from me again. Only one repairman was lovely and on his second visit gave me the advice to complain as it's definitely faulty but can't find it.

How do I stop the water leaking out of the tube onto the ice cubes? Ice cubes are being made, but are all moulded together.

Inlet pressure reduction valve.

Our Fisher & Paykel Fridge Freezer has fault code F2 on the screen,it beebs twice when the door is opened and the temperature is up around 10 degrees.Any clues on what could be the problem? thankyou Greg.

Possible heater problem.
Is there ice on rear panel of freezer?
If so, defrost heater stopped working or Controller faulty = call F&P 1300650590.

Switched on the SABBATH MODE this weekend and now switched mode off but the light on the front dispenser panel goes on then off and the 4 icons rotate all the time. The water does not dispense and the indicator lights on the inside panel continually rotate. Tried to set Sabbath Mode again and then turn it off but nothing helps. Please advise what I should do?

Yes my friend. I had the same problem but lucky now its fixed. I just recommend that u wash ur fridge with hot water from the outside. Then problem is fixed. History

I have a french door fridge with a water dispenser but find the water from the dispenser is not cold enough. Can I adjust the temperate of the water in anyway?

Hi Oldtech, the water runs through the door and is cooled to the cabinet temp. My cabinet temp is set about mid way and my water is cool enough. You could try adjusting your cabinet cooler, it should cool the water more

How do I get the water dispenser to stop dripping after use? Also can you tell me why the water doesn't shut off instantly when I pull the glass away?

Hi Mary Ann, try unplugging the fridge for a few seconds, check the water pressure, switch back on and dispense at least four litres of water through the system

Make sure the ice maker is off when you do this. Good luck

Just changed water filter and the reset light won't turn off when I hold down both buttons - mute and warmer for 3 secs as instructed.
In fact none of the functions on the press pad seem to be working. Is there a lock for these?

Hi Lisa, Try switching off and unplug (like a reboot) then do the reset process again and follow the auto ice maker cycle flushing a few litres, hopefully it will work

Our French door fridge door does not close properly. The part on the left that should slide in and flatten has to be fed in. Is the hinge broken? What do we do? Also the ice machine is not working like it used to. Any ideas?

Our F&P French Door icemaker also stopped working but I think it's because the water filter is 6 months old and a red light icon on the front of the fridge door is on. I question the need to replace a filter every 6 months when the incoming water has no particles in it. Or I'd be surprised if it did. I'm going to have a look at it and if it looks clean I'll just reset the 6 month clock.

I'm having to get the thermostat fixed every year in the water drain that drains down the back inside of freezer. It then drains water on the floor of freezer preventing draws from closing and leaking out onto the floor. My warranty has surpassed but I feel this is a manufacturing error. Otherwise I love my fridge freezer. Is anyone else having the same problem. I paid a lot of money to have a fantastic fridge/ freezer.....not happy.
Will be taking this further.

My icemake has stopped making cubes of ice and just releases water which freezes in a big block in the ice cube catcher tray. Has anybody had this happen before? Tips on how to fix it?

It sounds like you need to get it serviced.

We had the same problem and found that the part where the ice tray connects to the motor that tips it had cracked preventing it from tipping the ice out, so the water would just pour over the side of the ice tray and into the collection tray below. The replacement ice tray was cheap and easy to fit.

I have a RF610ADUX model- Ice and cold water not working and fridge seems to not getting cold-- with fault F31 showing. Cannot activate display with arrows etc(ie-- change temps) out of warranty- I'm in an isolated spot so will have to transport the fridge to the Perth city for repairs- but would like to avoid this??? Any help?

Have you tired turning the fridge off for a while and letting it reset? Other than that, I am not sure what to recommend other than getting it repaired. Sorry.

My f&p ice maker has ice auto ice maker however when in turns over ice fails to fall out, water then proceeds to add to make next batch of ice and flows into ice bucket because set ice is still in tray. Any ideas?

I am not to sure. Is your water cold enough? I would ring F&P and speak to their helpdesk to see if you can resolve this.
