Not living up to it's predecessor...
Apologies to the original author of the following, I stole it from another site but it reflects my sentiments exactly:
Not living up to it's predecessor...
I had to replace my old single F&P DishDrawer which finally stopped working after approx 13 years. It had been a great workhorse, very reliable, and rarely had a hiccup or needed service. This replacement has not lived up to our expectations. The set-up of the dishwasher has changed - for the worse, so it isn't possible to fit anywhere near as much inside. If I put plastic lids on the cup r...Read more

Faulty Product within 12 months. Still waiting for Warranty Service for almost 2 months. Little Response.
Absolute dismal service. Had a less than 12 month dishwasher drawer (DD60SCW9)that stopped working. Took a while for a technician to come out in December 2022. No contact from Fisher and Paykel's technician. Dishwasher still not working as of today (Mid February 2020). Have been trying to get a response from Fisher and Paykel to what is happening without success. On 10 January we were advised they were waiting on a part that was going to be received the following week. We have tried numerous times calling and emailing. No email replies by Fishe...Read more
r and Paykel. Been on hold for up to 40 minutes several times, but when I do get through I either get disconnected, or told they will investigate with Parts, and then never hear from them. I am reluctant to buy any Fisher and Paykel products in future. Had issues within 30 days with our front loading washing machine too. After sale service is appalling.

The worst possible review
It is a very poor performer and after having used many dishwashers I regard this as very bad indeed. The instruction guide was hopeless it was hard to read and useless. Dont buy the rubbish!

Love it!
I purchased this product nearly a year and a half ago and I am more than impressed with its looks and performance.
I chose the 900mm Dishdrawer as it was the only one that was going to fit perfectly into the space I had without having to re-design my kitchen, which I am so glad I did.
It fits a lot more in than I thought it would and I have never had an issue with the dishes not cleaning properly even though I don't rinse them before putting them in.
I love the fact that you don't have to bend down to fill and empty the dishwasher.

Our old one was better
The clips on the racks come off and are VERY hard to put back together.
The spinner is always being stopped because the racks seem too close.
The sloping plate racks make loading difficult.

Very happy
This dish washer is great for a small family as you can just load one draw and wash those dishes. It always gets the dishes lean and dry and is simple to use and reasonably quiet on all settings. The only negative is it takes a bit longer to install. I would definitely recommend this product.

Don't buy a dishdrawer
Worst purchase when I renovated the kitchen last year. I have to inspect every dish and every piece of cutlery that comes out - there is ALWAYS something that is dirty. I am getting so frustrated with it. Hate hate hate it. Do not buy one. What's the point of using a dishwasher if you have to examine everything that's in it every time you empty it. So disappointed and so pissed off.

Love it!
Our dishdrawers have been in for 6 months now and haven't skipped a beat. I have preset my top drawer for dishes and bottom drawer for pots and pans which my dishwasher knows without me pressing a button. I have a bit of OCD when it comes to dishwashers and do give everything a light rinse, however it probably doesn't need it. I did find that using either Morning Fresh or Finish powder that there is a gross buildup in the bottom of the drawers and my glasswear is cloudy, but my machine seems to LOVE a little of the $3 Coles powder and rinse aid for a sparkling & dry wash everytime.

Fisher and Paykel crap
I have had 3 technicians out and charged 362.00 which will not be refunded. The developers have been silent on who installed the dishwasher. I’m over it I have asked f&p to collect the piece of junk. It just doesn’t work and I’m sick of the backwards and forwards. I paid a lot of money for my unit and I get this junk.

WORKS WELL BUT IS VERY NOISY
I am happy with the dishwasher and also love that it has some many cycles to choose from the eco cycle is just under 40 minutes and I can get everything clean, however, it is quite unpleasant that the dishwasher is so noisy and cannot hear the TV and need to increase the volume. Other than the noise the dishwasher worked well.

Great small machine with eco options
Having decided to get a small dishwasher in my own place having stayed in a couple of airbnb places recently, this is the quietest machine I have used. With Quick cycle, with eco options, that still clean and dry immaculately it gives me all I was looking for. We are a couple only who use it every day and it suits our needs perfectly. Top that off with running it early in the day with or solar inputs and it is more than efficient for us.

This is my fourth set of dishdrawers!
With just 2 of us in the house the dish drawer size is perfect. And my first 3 sets were perfect. The first 2 were replaced because we moved house. The third set (10 years old) has just been replaced because we went from white to stainless. This new set however has one major problem - it doesn’t fit my dinner plates. They are 290cm in diameter which is pretty standard and they fitted perfectly in my last model. The only way to fit them in is on an angle backwards which doesn’t allow much space for other smaller plates and bowls. So if yo...Read more
u’re going to buy this model and you love your plates measure them first or take one to the show room to try it out. I also thing the cutlery caddy in the old model was much better - it’s fiddly getting cutlery into the tight spaces. It is quiet and it cleans just as well as my first models but now that my plates don’t fit I wish I had my old one back or maybe went for a full dishwasher model - but that just defeats the purpose of the double dish drawers which allow one to be washing while another starts filling. So F and P can you rethink the basket design and when you come up with one as good as the earlier models please send me a couple. Until then I’ll be washing the plates in the sink!Similar opinion? Great Product
Our second dish draw, the first one purchased 2003,and was used almost every day.
This one our second and with extra functions, runs quiet extra drying time if required, and with the adjustable
shelves to put those taller cups in, and the glasses sparkle when thy come out, we just love our dish draw
and would recommend it.

Worse appliance i have ever bought
Doesn't clean well. Every load something is not clean no matter how i stack and it's never overloaded. It is quiet though but wish i hadn't bought it. I usually always buy fisher and paykel products. Tech came out and said not to use tablets nor rinse aid. Use powder but still not good.

Great
I love dishdrawer as they are great on space and quiet. They was the dishes well and are perfect for a couple, however when you have more people over you find yourself needing to do more than one load as they capacity just isn't there for a larger amount of dishes. It drys the dishes well and I would get another one when the time is right to replace it.

This will be my last FP dish drawer
The 3rd in 11 years because my home came with one and it just seemed easier to replace with next FP dish drawer model rather than reconfigure my kitchen. Next time I will try the Bosch dish drawer on consistent recommendations from several repair men in the industry who say they are the best dishwashers and these are the worst. They guy who did the change over on mine said that it was his 3rd FP dish drawer that day and all were under 3 years old.
Forget about doing plastics or more delicate items in the FP dishdrawer, eco cycles or a fast...Read more
wash. Ive had this only for a month and despite filters being cleaned every couple of days it simply doesn't clean or dry unless it's on the Heavy Wash with no eco setting. Its not little spots, it's whole bowls and plates that barley look like they have even been rinsed and appears to have no assisted drying at all. My dishwasher is never over packed and always has plenty of space between items to clean. At least my last dish drawers where good till they weren't for a year or two before struggling to do a decent wash cycle and start throwing out all the other problems typical with these FP dish drawers. Its only saving features is that this one actually does (only just) take larger dinner plates in the vertical stack on one side. This one is also the nicest looking in my kitchen but of course that means you sacrifice a digital display telling you how long it has to go or showing the time delay, you can still use those functions but you will need to keep a manual record in your head of what it is. Not really acceptable in this day and age, stainless steel good looking appliances everywhere at much lower price points have easily integrated this and from all reports seem to be more reliable. Overpriced and average which is a shame since the idea of it is so genious. I guess FP have maintained returned customers like myself because their kitchens are modelled around having this dish drawer and they don't want the hassle of reconfiguration but now that others are bringing out dish drawers or know people with other models who get 10 years trouble free, I think their run in relying on this instead of really developing and improving their product is over. It certainly is for me - a bit of minor cabinetry adjustment will be far less hassle than buying another of these. Not a good feeling spending this type of money only to resolve to put up with it till the warranty runs out with its replacement already picked out only a month after purchase. At least the long heavy wash seems to do the job it needs to do *sigh*Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Questions & Answers
Maria R.asked
Does 00 stay displayed after was is finished?
1 answer
If as you say the listing is monitored by Fisher & Paykel representatives, perhaps they may answer! Although I doubt it, as I didn't ever receive a reply to my letters to this lot... Sorry Maria, while I don't quite understand your question I can understand your frustration, as their instruction books are a disgusting mess. Can I say I have received a lot of help from a mechanic from a supplier here in Melbourne Australia. But this would only help if you are living in this region! One thing I can say, other than sorry! Never make the same mistake twice and tell your friends and family, these people treat their customers very poorly.
Wayne F.asked
When the dish drawer is finished, it beeps . If your not in the kitchen at the time, is there another indication that the cycle has finished?
Lou M.asked
Can this model be used as a benchtop dishdrawer? I'm renting and can't install it permanently.
