Great Washer that can handle large loads
Initially I considered other brand 8kg and 8.5kg Front Load Washers and was surprised to find that the manufacturers did not recommend washing Queen Size Bedding.
The 10kg capacity of the Fisher and Paykel together with comparable energy efficiency made the decision easy.
Purchased in July 2021 at The Good Guys for $1,399.00.

Fisher & Paykel 10 kg Washing Machine
This 10 kg F&P wash machine is one which I ultimately recommended to big families. We found it very comfortable for our seven family members. Our preference is the top feed with agitator.

LOVE IT!!
Replaced my 8yo Electrolux - this is the BEST washer I’ve had. Not sure why people are saying it’s loud and noisy... it’s whisper quiet it spins at 1200rpm and I don’t even hear it and I’ve had huge towel loads in it which I could never put in the old washer I replaced which was always unbalancing and jumping around like a frog when spinning and noisy as. Can’t fault this F&P washer at all. Got the extra warranty from HN added to cost.
Purchased in June 2021 at Harvey Norman for $1,500.00.

Worst ever purchase. Wasted a whole Sunday!! 000 rating! Do not buy
We went shopping to replace our LG old front loader which I thought had died due to noise on spin cycle. Well the old washer was perfect compared to this one. So we brought it home about 4:00 after spending a few hours at the shop with the sales person. He recommended Fisher and Paykel or the Bosch, we chose the F & P because of the 10kg. We got it home, started it up, thought wow how quiet. Until it started to spin. Sounded like we had a freight train going through the house! Heard nothing like it ever. Called F & P that night, they said take ...Read more
it back to Domayne. So we did next day, replaced no worries at all. We brought home the second one and same thing. Called them back, they said no worries we will send out a F & P during the week!! I said no way, I had already given away my old one and have no back up. So back to the shop we go. Decided against F & P and went with an AEG, so far we have done two washes and no problems, quiet as a mouse. I wish I had read the reviews on this page before I made the decision and lost my whole weekend setting up and taking back machines!! They must have a lemon batch out in Australia! Don’t buy!!Purchased in February 2021 at Domayne for $1,600.00.

If I could rate 0 I would
Worst piece of junk washing machine I have ever had. Within a few months the machine on spin cycle sounded like a freight train.-washing machine tech from a Fisher & Paykel was arrogant and told me “I wasn’t loading the machine correctly” and treated me like an idiot. Turned out to be a bearing failure and I had to have the machine taken away. Same technician denied any leaking from the machine, on yet another service call, but water was dripping onto the floor of my laundry tiles. Pump had failed. Cabinet had rusted. On yet another service cal...Read more
l heater element failed, and I have been told by a different service tech, I will need another pump. Now making freight train noise once again very loudly on spin cycle- which probably means the bearings are going again! Please don’t buy.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Worst product ever. Do not buy.
The sound level of the washer reached up to a maximum of 84.4 db.
A level that is absolutely unacceptable and in fact, dangerous as it would lead to hearing loss.
I have a total of 3 faulty washers and exchanged a total of 2 washers over the span of 6 weeks, to which ALL of them are faulty and dangerous.
I am left without a proper, working, washer for a good 6 weeks.
The waiting time for the exchange of the washers took incredibly long, customer service is extremely slow and products are faulty.

It straight up doesn't work.
We had our new washing machine delivered & installed. I read the manual, did everything by the book. With the first load of washing, it started shaking, the worst washing machine noise I've ever heard. Not just normal wahsing machine noise, more like a jackhammer. I'm worried I have hearing damage from troubleshooting. Walked itself across the floor and shut itself off. I tried a full load, half load, in between, I tried all speed settings right down to 500 and had the same problem.
I tried levelling the feet. Checked with spirit level and i...Read more
t was already pretty good but I made some slight adjustments, this made no difference. This was where I started to suspect we'd purchased a lemon. The feet are small and hexagonal. You're supposed to loosen the locking nut and then use the provided wrench to turn the foot. Except, it's rubber - it just squashes and doesn't turn. Only way to adjust them is to jack the washing machine up with a lever and turn them! I called Fisher and Paykel, they told me it was probably faulty and to call the store I bought it from for a replacement. Well, the replacement just arrived, and it has exactly the same problem! Managed to give itself a scrape along the left side from walking into a cupboard. I even tried it in the middle of the floor so it could be perfectly level and away from any wall, still it made a noise like a jackhammer! I'll be calling Harvey Norman in the morning and requesting a return and full refund.1 comment

Questions & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions about Fisher & Paykel WH1060P1
Why is my washing machine making a loud noise?
To make sure your washing machine is completely secure during transit, Fisher & Paykel includes transit rods in addition to the transit bolts most people will be familiar with. It's possible that these rods are creating this noise. Your installer will remove both the bolts and the rods when installing the product for you, but if you’re planning to install the machine yourself, this video will give you more detail on how to remove both the transit bolts and rods: Removing Transit Bolts.
Stickers are also included on the back of the machine that show where to find the transit rods.
