Big disappointment
Very disappointed in this machine.
Clothes come out with dry patches, I don’t overload the machine.
Biggest disappointment is the washing of dark clothes.....have tried turning things inside out....tried many different washing products, powder vs liquid, always a mess and need rewashing. Very frustrating.
I have looked through other reviews and notice no reply from the company to anyone’s issues.....I will never buy this brand again.

Best on the market
This has to be the largest washing machine I have used. It doesn't have an agitator, meaning I can place more in the bowl for a better clean and less tangles. It's large enough to wash the biggest of doonas.. it's wells rating is one of the highest and uses less water than our 8kg washer that we had for 10 years. I recommended a friend to buy one and she's happy that she bought it.

Terrible. Rubbish. Don't waste your money.
Where to begin...ok. just under 12 months wrangling with this thing - remember this thing is ALL automatic, no manual control, yes you can change some presets, but that's it. This is a dum-smart machine for dummies.
Water level is beyond poor, making the clothes rub whilst being wound into knots and twisted into ropes. Mechanical bondage isn't my thing. Thus the clothes don't wash properly, get pilling, rip buttons and damage zippers etc. Water and energy efficient? not so much with 2nd and 3rd washes for the load, then there's the wasted ...Read more

Not Good at all, half of my clothes don’t get cleaned
**Updated below on 30 OCT 2018
-even more unhappy now
I’ve had this machine for 4 days, we live on a farm and are a family of 6. Salesman told me this was top of range machine in store. Well not happy with it at all, the water doesn’t even cover half of the clothes when washing. Not good at all cleaning really dirty farm clothes, I dual washed them twice and still no good! I also have noticed the clothes that don’t get submerged end up with lint all over them too. I’m a big sorter of clothes and have been washing for over 20 years. I can’t...Read more
understanding how clothes can wash in a top loader without water covering them. Then also have noticed the out of balance beeps came on so I took clothes out and finished the cycle empty, got home three hours later and still beeping out of balance even with nothing in it. I’m hoping my machine is faulty and this is not how they’ve been designed?? Only positive is the cycle times are really good, quick cycle is 35 min and the regular is 55 min with full load but again clothes aren't coming out washed properly. I loved my old f&p intuitive top loader, it was amazing with washing the clothes and everything always came out like new. I’m still waiting to hear back from store, but not happy I've spent $1250 on it and it’s not doing what it’s designed for. Not sure now if I should go for a front loader? Also if you don’t have dirty clothes this machine may suit you but def not suited for a grubby household. **Update On My Review:: 30/0ct/2018Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Hate it
Wish I had never bought it. It has a water sensor that means the water never ever covers the clothes. Hence the clothes never clean properly. Clothes are always covered in fluff and when I rang the service dept about this I was fobbed off by them saying I didn't clean the machine out often enough. Even cleaning the machine as they instructed didn't make any difference. Last week I put 4 sheets in and they ended up with three of them in a big tangle and the fourth was covering them all and it looked like a tyre cover. The 3 sheets were no...Read more
t properly wet and so were still grubby. All I can say is that I wish F&P still had the old agitator washing machines. My old Gentle Annie lasted over 20 years and the only thing that had to be replaced in that time was some rubber thing underneath. I only got rid of it because I was building a new house and thought that my appliances should be new as well.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Happy. Been using this washer for 3 months.
I LIKE:
1. My sheets and socks come out so clean, I hardly need to soak them anymore (due to less water being used and the right water temperature).
2. Doesn't wear out my clothes, yet significantly reduces drying time.
3. It runs quietly.
4. Can fit more sheets and towels to the wash than my previous Fisher and Paykel with the agitator.
5.. Full load takes 35 minutes to wash, not bad.
6. The Delicate cycle is great for my most delicate clothes. I also love the Sheet and Towel cycle. Sheet don't get tangled up.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT:
1. The High Efficiency function takes the water saving a bit too far, not enough water for proper rinsing. I turn it off permanently.

Beyond disappointed! Designed by someone who has never used a washing machine!
This is by far the worst washer I have ever had. Slow, inefficient, maddening, You can't adjust the water level. The clothes are mostly out of the water. I have started to sometimes bucket in more water when I can open the lid! It has no agitator and hardly any water and a tumbling on itself action where sheets and clothes are twisted into clumps entwined together and have to be priced apart, coming out completely crumpled. They dry that way still crumpled. The lack of water and tumbling action often sets off the unbalanced beeper. Ironing ...Read more
out the creases in shirts is an impossibility, even with dampening down clothes.. It is slow the heavy cycle for quilts fills up with hot water and then soaks! . I turned machine off and on to open the lid. My quilt had run red. There is hardly any water how can it rinse properly. I paid $1,099! I am going back to the shop today. They have been very understanding. My problems were not news to them! Obviously I am not the first to complain.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Simply just does not wash
Bought this machine 5 mth's ago. My sheets were coming out with dry patches. Tried every cycle then called the technician as I'm having to add 20L's+ water to the load manually. Tech says nothing wrong with it though he manually delved his arm in to move the washing around-antiquated! Don't buy it as the pulsating mechanism can't move 8kgs around let alone 10kg as supposed to.
Well......10hrs after posting this I got an email from F&P offering to refund it. Now to get a machine that washes.

Simply the best in it's class !
We purchased this machine from Appliance Online. Not only did they sell it $30 cheaper than their competitors, delivery, installation, box and old washing machine removal were all inclusive of the price. Quite a deal ! The guys who delivered the washer were courteous, respectful and professional.
We have come from the classic Kleenmaid/Speed Queen 7.5kg model purchased 21 years ago. That machine had dials and you choose the wash cycle. Half filled it, let it mix the laundry liquid into the water, add your items, finish filling it, and let ...Read more

Works For Us
I see a lot of people paying out on this washer but our experience has been fine. It gets used every day - usually just a small load and it always does what we expect. My only complaint is that sometimes the clothes don't get dry enough in the spin cycle but I think that comes down to how they end up sitting in the drum. The front panel may not last forever and I am aware that power surges can damage electronics so we run ours through a surge stopper but other than that its been a totally OK workhorse.

Most hate-full product I have ever purchased
Not enough water to wash or rinse. Yes, I have read the engineers opinions that this has been designed to use water like a front loader. But it does not work here. some times there are dry spots where the water never even touches the clothes.
The rinse is a particular problem as you need water to remove the detergent from the washed clothes. My itchy crotch and stomach is testimony to the fact that the rinse was not thorough. AND yes, I am using LESS than the recommended amount of top loader low suds detergent.
Constantly out of balance. Th...Read more
ere has been one wash in the past 12, one only, that completed without several attempts at balancing. Too frustrating to use. An example is:........it is out of balance......so I select the rinse with the no spin option...and the first thing this $%%^ng machine does is try to spin before it fills with water. I purchased this machine on the strength of the previous model, the GW712. Great machine. HAd it for 10 years. Replaced two water pumps in that time. Sorry that the gearbox had finally wore out.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Do not waste your money on this
Most times some of the clothes have dry patches on them when you take them out of the machine. 100% of the time sheets have dry patches on the, and I have to wash them twice to try and make sure the whole sheet has been washed. Not having an option to add more water it it’s biggest mistake, due to a bare minimum of water it cannot cover all your cloths hence all the dry patches meaning it cannot be washing the cloths properly.

Terrible washing results
I hate to say but this is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. Main control board stopped functioning before reaching 12 months of service. The machine doesn’t agitate much at all when washing and water level remains low, hence the washing results are terribly poor. I feel it is such a waste of money and time. I would wish a total recall of this product and full refund.

An Engineering Design Disaster
This must surely be the worst washing machine ever made. From the very start it has performed poorly and it has only got worst with age. We thought maybe it is just our particular machine that is faulty, but reading the 71 reviews we see that the overwhelming majority or reviews echo our sediments and we are observing the same faults. There is clearly a design issue as our previous F & P washing machines have been great. Perhaps the company should consider a total recall of the model and compensate the buyers - it is the only way it can restor...Read more
e it's image of producing quality products. On our machine we purchased a 60 months Product Care Warranty, but that hasn't fixed the problems. I like to add that we also purchased a F & P DE8060P1 8Kg Condenser Dryer and that was just as bad (in fact worse) as the washing machine. The dryer died just after 2 years - a couple of months outside the 2 year warranty. Again the online reviews confirm the problems with the dryer.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Reliable Family Washer
Our Fisher and Paykel washer gets a caning at out house.
We have a large family and it seems like it is always running. We have had precisely NO issues in the past three years despite the ratings of others.
Its very quiet and water efficient. It's a different kind of top loader to the old water unefficient traditional style.
An absolute breeze to use with simple touch buttons. The only negative is that because of the low water usage the clothes can be more wrinkled when finished
Lots of use - No issues at all.

It’s terrible!!
I bought this a few months ago, been trying to get used to it, but just couldn’t!!! I used to own a 7kg wash smart, the mist basic model and loved it. When time to get a new one come, I thought going for the best/tip of the line would be the way to go, but no, I was soooo wrong!!!
Water level is always terribly low, hardly covers the clothes, clothes come out wrinkled badly, sheets through the sheets cycle comes out in a ball, yes, operation is quiet - but that’s not much use when all other aspect of the machine is considered.
I would much rather go back to a wash smart.
Do not buy the clean smart, you will regret it!!!

Piece of crap!
So many things have gone wrong with this machine, I’ve wasted so much money on repairs. My current issue is now a fault where it will get so far through a cycle and stop, so I have to rinse & wring everything out by hand. It leaves lint all over clothes, doesn’t clean well at all and is constantly going ‘out of balance’....don’t buy one!

Front Loader benefits without the bending!!
This is my second machine of this type. First time with the AquaSmart I wanted to return it ASAP!! I couldn’t adjust the water level as I had with previous F&P top loaders and it seems to get fluff on everything.
That was about 9 years ago and hundreds of loads ago.
The newest model I considered for a few weeks. I did my research and looked at the options. I came back to the same model type because I didn’t want that central spindle in the way and didn’t want al, that bending!
It was smaller inoverall outsides dimensions (to fit into stand...Read more

I can't fault the machine so far.
Washes the clothes well. I'm not seeing tangled like many other are either. Although it does say not to throw your clothes in one go. We don't do that anyway. I'm messy so the wife is usually looking for my spilt dinner down my t-shirts or when I wear a white to work on the car, she usually has to spray most of my clothes. Yes, I get into trouble!
I did take the time to research which machine to buy, and this suited our family the best. From that research I wouldn't buy one without an agitator if your a coal miner, but for the normal soil lev...Read more

Expensive rubbish
This is the Worst machine I have ever owned. At times I have to rewash as it leaves brown sludgy bits on the clothes and they smell. It also goes out of alignment regularly. It doesn’t seem to rinse as the clothes end up in tangled mess. Wont buy a FandP again.

what do you do about the lint problem, have cleaned the bowl numerous times, still lint all over everything. they tell me there is no lint filter in this machine.
1 answer
When I use a washer, I sort the cloths by material and color in advance. I do not mix them to avoid lint problem. Anyway I will choose a lint filter equiped washer next time .

The wash boost is filling NT with water during the cycle and it’s leaking out of the machine. I have cleaned the wash boost section and the inlet but I can’t find anywhere else to clean and it’s still leaking.
