Very Poor Service
I have had my fitness passport cancelled without my knowledge. They told me I had 3 missed payments, however, I always have money in my account. I haven’t heard any thing in 2 weeks. Response times are so bad.

Poor communication and no empathy from this organisation
Hi
I’m currently a member and I’m going through some extremely difficult times in regards to being most likely sacked from my current job, I will not be able to afford the FP, I am suffering from a tremendous amount of stress due to my current situation and have previously asked for my membership to be cancelled and the staff show so empathy and grant my wish, this falls on deaf ears, my emails go un responded, they have blocked my number so I can’t call them.
They suspended my account for 3 months even though I wanted them to cancel it, my wo...Read more

Really cheap form of pool and gym access
Without this, i would not have tried a gym. I use it locally for classes every weekend and my son now comes with me. It also covers entry to our local council pool. It has really helped me go back to exercising and I think it is a really valuable programme.

Fitness Passport
I recently enquired with a gym near me about facilities made available to FP members and was told all facilities that direct members receive are included. After joining FP, I was then told locker use was only available to direct members and not fitness passport members and would cost an extra $2 per visit. Additionally, this method of locker use requires a paper slip with a barcide be used to lock and open the locker. How is this meant to work when having a spa/swim or sauna (when paper becomes soggy).
When going to the gym 4 to 5 times a week, the FP price becomes expensive and larger gym franchises suddenly become "cheaper".

Lucky I dig into T&C detail
want to sign up family deal as it looks very cheap BUT found out that many of the gym/pools in my area would charge access card for each family member instead of 1 access card for me & my wife. You guys have to make this clear not burying it somewhere in thousands words of T&C. I bet there are many people who wont sign up if they knew about it.

How to use Fitness Passport effectively
This is great value for money, though it's very clear that many don't know to use Fitness Passport (FP) and get the most out of it.
Here are some tips based on the poor reviews I've read:
How to access a Anytime Fitness/Plus Fitness/Fitness First/any chain gym that isn't listed:
- Find one that is listed
- Pay the one off-fee for an access card/key tag
- Go to your local gym
Additional cost for Key Tag/access card:
- This has nothing to do with FP. This is at the discretion of each gym/chain of gyms. If FP included this ...Read more

Amazing Value
I used to belong to Fitness First and could only gain entry to selected Fitness First gyms.
With Fitness Passport I pay less membership fees per week and can gain unlimited entry into more Fitness First gyms as well as other fitness centres, Sydney's aquatic centres, ocean pools etc.
The value is amazing and the service has been problem free.
I wish this product was available decades ago as it is a great incentive to become more fit and healthy!

Rip off. Had to pay $60 for a key tag!!
Went to a gym in Canning Vale, WA, to activate and use Fitness passport. Had to pay $60 for key tag to enter and exit the gym for one person. Also, was told that each person in the family included in the Fitness passport has to pay $60 for the key tag!! Am already paying huge amounts of money for the fitness passport membership for the family. This is a BIG rip off!! Am extremely disappointed!!

this for you, and this key tag is required as they are a 24-hour gym. Direct members with the facility are also required to pay this fee. With the key tag fee for this gym, you also receive locker access as well as group fitness classes. Unfortunately, these payments are completely outside of the control of Fitness Passport and we do outline this in our Terms and Conditions as well as FAQs.Similar opinion? Poor availability
I was encouraged to join fitness passport as many I trained with had it but what a Waste of time. The list of gyms was limited and I couldn’t attend gym I train With alongside my training group. I joined because we go to Anytime fitness and Fitness First . Both not included on my membership. This is poor. One name passport should signify the same gyms. So I cancelled my subscription. Supposed to make attending the gym simple but it’s discriminatory.

Good service, some confusion with terms.
Whilst using the service my wife and I enjoyed the benefits, the membership costs where average of gym memberships but the advantages where you could use multiple gyms each with their own benefits. Their was some confusion when I terminated my employment making me ineligible to use the membership and cancellation, resulting in money owing. My first attempt at resolving this was not met well, but the second attempt was understood and Fitness Passport where very reasonable with the outcome and I do thank them for that. “Transparent”
Come on guys, I just spent the better half of an hour reading through this mess. So many people taken by surprise by this 12 month contract. There’s a clear pattern of misinterpretation, you start most of your replies with the phrase “we are transparent”, are you really? Sure doesn’t seem like it.

is, and your entire business model is based around collecting recurring fees, but let’s look to be ethical too, yes? How about marketing your services something like “12 months of great value” and making damn clear this is a lock in contract. By all accounts the information I received didn’t indicate this unless I had read deeper in your FAQ, ABCs and every other alphabetical acronym you’d like to use. I almost feel violated to be hold I’m stuck in a lock in contract. All in the name of trying to get fit. I encourage you to be true to your word and actually be transparent. The concept is great, don’t taint it as you have already. I’ve directly cancelled my direct debit arrangement with the bank and will challenge you and your debt collector pals as required. I won’t be financially punished for a form that takes 2 seconds to fill in. Nope and nope!1 comment
