Landscape Contracters
We used Flower Power Contractors to do retaining walls at the front of our house . A steep sloping garden . The two guys that did the job were obsessive . Never seen any other tradies work like these two . The work was impeccable . We had, had other quotes from Landcapers, double the price . These two blokes never stopped . Would highly recommend them . Li Xie and your offsider were amazing . Highly recommend them .

Contaminated plant, no advice was provided
We purchased a water lily and a lotus, spent more than $150, but couldn’t find a single competent staff that can provide experienced advice of how to look after plants; instead, we had been advised to look for information on the internet. As we found out later the water lily is contaminated by fungal infection and staff refused to exchange it, have declined the bank statement as a proof of purchase. Australian Competition and Consumer Commission clearly stated that
Other types of proof of purchase include:
• credit or debit card statement

Hopeless
As a commercial operation, having a substantial car park lawn and garden area, this was to be catered and managed by one of Flower Power's franchisee. No amount of phone calls or even dealing directly with the Franchise manager, who never calls back, could fix the ongoing problems with the lack of service, or don't show up, postponing site visits, regardless of schedules and worst of all, the quality of work is abysmal. Rubbish such as plastic, paper not picked up, weeds as high as 1M not removed even though its on their invoices. AS for qualit...Read more
y of plants, 50% die within a few weeks. Its quite apparent that Flower Power management just give out Franchises to whoever pays for one, without having any landscaping or gardening experience, let alone supervised training or follow up with customers. I wouldn't recommend this lot at all, because Flower Power is just a name and have no idea how to run a Franchise.1 comment

Staff advise wrong on products.
Asked in store how many bags of bark would be equivalent to buying 1 scoop. Was advise it would be about 8 bags. I ordered 2 scoops paid extra 25 for delivery. What they delivered would be lucky to be 8 bags which is only 1 scoop. I had to phone them 3 times over 2hrs. Then when they finally called me back all they said is...well that's 2 scoops. Bloody rip off and extremely bad customer service. They tell you to get the scoops cause you're getting about the same as 16 bags for the price of 8 but then only deliver about 8 bags then just fob you off with excuses. Will never again buy from flower power.

Contaminated soil
Taren point flower power sold me organic garden mix soil contaminated with broken glass and blue soft plastic all through it. Wouldnt admit fault even though more glass was found in soil bin on site. Was told by landscaping manager that glass was great for growing plants. Manager became elevated manic rude and dismissive. Never heard such complete rambling rubbish.

Hi Maria,
We're very sorry to hear about your experience. ... Read more
Bulk garden mix product is a recycled product from our home green waste bins. Unfortunately, many glass and plastic containers are wrongly put in green bins. Our garden and planter box mixes, compost and lawn top dressing are compliant with Australian Standards but to be on the safe side we recommend wearing gloves with these products as small glass and plastic particles can be found amongst the mix. Large recycled pieces are removed through a sifting process but smaller particles can’t be because finer sifting impacts the quality of the product. Bigger particles improve drainage which we know is essential for healthy plants! We're very sorry if this wasn't explained to you upfront and can understand your disappointment. We believe you have since been provided a full refund for your purchase but it's also important for you to know how seriously we have taken your staff feedback. Customer service is very important to us and we're so disappointed you didn't have a positive experience. We're very sorry and want you to know we have shared your feedback with our management team who will look into this further and be in touch with you directly. All the best! Disgraceful Blacktown Flower Power!
When visiting the Blacktown store, upon requesting if they would donate for a community cause, the manager flatly said no. Invented the fact that you could go online and click for donation to be rid of me, knowing that another store 30mi s down the road donates unwanted plants to community projects. Sad and very disappointed, the manager was simply too busy disrespecting and talking ill of other staff to engage with the community. Never again, Flower Power, Blacktown. Don't visit here, Penrith's a more organised, polite and helpful store.

2nd 2022 Update: Just plain rude! Upon checking out my flower pot at Flower Power Orchard Hills, I inquired about the possibility of left over plants being donated to my local school as they are establishing a school garden. The supervisor, whom didn't even approach me to take my enquiry, bellowed from across the counter "nah, those plants will sell at that price, we won't have any left overs (Mark down plants to 1.50-2.00). Now had would he have known that? I felt like i was treated and spoken to like I was at a pub in the early hours of the morning from an unkempt town drunk. Customer service is usually wonderful at my local Flower Power. But that was my final transaction until the manager there can clean his act up and start to speak to people in a presentable, humane way. Extremely disappointed from a previously loyal customer, Flower Power Penrith! My family and friends will never do business there again.1 comment

Disgraceful service and customer care from Flower Power - to a long standing elderly customer
My mother in law, whom I have visited today, has bought close to 20,000 dollars from Flower Power in the last 15 25 years. She came into your store asking if you had a landscaper available to go to her new place she had just moved into. You sent her an unprofessional, difficult to understand person with no listening skills who himself claimed was not a landscaper, he went to her place and did not even take any measurements to see what could fit where on her balcony, she insisted to take her to the Glenhaven store, even though my mother said she...Read more
thought Enfield which was closer had a a good choice and she had seen something there. He refused to take the freeway and after 2 hours and 10 minutes they arrived in Glenhaven. There were no plants in Glenhaven big enough to suit the type of look she was trying to achieve, however she saw 2 vases and decided to buy them, she also saw 2 vertical lettuce screens which seemed to be good quality that she wanted to buy and this man told her NO, He could get some screens from a warehouse somewhere which were identical. My mother insisted on buying them, but he refused. My mother paid 400.00 for the vases. they headed off to Enfield to see if they could see some taller climbing species with flowers suitable. Both in Glenhaven and in Enfiled when my mother asked him what flowers they were, he did not have a clue. He had to call someone to assist and this took a great deal of time as they were short staffed. He told my mother the plant she was getting was a lilli pilli, but that wasn't true when she received it she found out it was a star lilly. My mother asked for non deciduous evergreen leaves and both plants shed like crazy and turned their leaves yellow and orange. 10 days later, the day before he was due to deliver the painted lettuce and the potting mix and complete the job, - this man text my mother and told her he wasn't going to do the job. He knew quite well my mother was expecting visitors from overseas coming to stay with her and she wanted everything to be completed by then, but he did not care about what he had promised. My mother was very upset and in tears, she called a worker in Flower Power Glenhaven and he came in a hurry to install the lettuce which wasnot the one my mother ordered, the plants which were not the ones my mother requested and not only that she did not get the remainder of the paint which was a huge bucket which she was being charged for. This job was a hurried job installed by someone who had no idea what my mother ordered, didnt seem to listen much or even believe my mother on what she had requested and did not have any answer as to why Flower Power a company where over 25 years she had spent all that money and did not seem to care that she was a long standing customer at all, or the fact that she was upset, or teh fact that she was sent a person who was not a landscaper, yet he was sent to her under false pretenses. My mother begged the manager of Glenhaven to change teh lettuce and the plants, but they would not have a bar, they charged her $750.00 for a job that was not what she wanted and she had already spent $800.00 on pots, plants. My mother went through 2 months of hell trying to contact a top manager in this company, but all she got was a customer relations person who just told her that she got what she asked for, even though she was not there. No apology for sending an incompetent person who was not even professional enough to show up and who didn't even have the courtesy to call my mother. This is a total lack of customer care, My mother is still unhappy and Flower Power took her excitement of moving into a new place and turned it into a nightmare. By the way the way she was also told later that it was possible the plants needed pesticide after one week that she had them. Shame on You Flower Power - what a disgraceful way to treat people over 60 especially.after they have supported you for years. Feburary 10th 2017 Update: My Mother in law received a totally unprofessional sms 1 day before the job was due, he knew quite well she had visitors coming from overseas and she needed the job done, he knew 10 days before, she had spent all that money more than $1500.00 dollars and this is exactly what is on my mother's phone at present:Similar opinion? I Love Flower Power
I do not have access to Google reviews but I am very happy with the service I get at Flower Power Enfield. They are always very helpful with my enquiries and I would give them 4 out of 5. The only reason I would not give them 5 out of 5 is that sometimes I cannot find anyone to help me. When I do though they are very helpful. Keep up the good work for someone who definitely does not have a green thumb.
